Ironhide growled darkly at Red Alert, leering over the shorter mech. "It's personal, n I'll turn em back on when I'm done." he stated in a low, dangerous tone, then stepped back and slammed the door shut. He remained there for several minutes then, venting hard trying to calm himself down before he turned back to Barricade again. Why couldn't they just leave him alone and let him be with Barricade? He brought his hand up to his chest then, his Spark thundering in his chest and he closed his optics, trying to calm it down so it would stop screaming so loudly in his processor.

Red Alert was not fazed by Ironhide looming over him, the warrior having done it often enough he was used to it, and stood there for a moment after Ironhide slammed the door shut, then turned and headed back for the security office, though not before stopping by the armory and changing Ironhide's access code. Once back inside, his slumped into his chair, thinking up ways to override the shutdown of the brig monitoring system.

It took Ironhide several minutes to calm down again, and once he made sure the lock was secure again, he went back into the cell bay, looking at Barricade for a moment and letting his processor drift back to a much more pleasant moment before he opened the cell door and stepped in again, locking himself in with Barricade. With a warm smile growing on his features, he sat down next to Barricade on the berth, leaning against the wall. ~"Now, where were we, before we got so rudely interrupted?"~ he asked gently as he reached over and caressed Barricade's cheek affectionately.

Barricade chuckled at Ironhide's comment. ~"Not sure. I had just gotten there myself."~ He joked with a grin. One hand moved up and rested against the back of Ironhide's as he nuzzled against it. ~"So gentle 'n soft...So different..."~ He trailed off, leaning against Ironhide's side, his other hand moving to rest on Ironhide's armor, optics truly taking in the sight of the black mech's Earth armor for the first time. ~"'N even though your armor's the same color, it doesn't make me think of them. You dun have all the scars..."~ He did a deep intake of air, fighting off the panic as he slowly began to chase away his fears.

Ironhide looked at Barricade for a moment, seeing the fear flash in Barricade's optics. The words the younger mech spoke told Ironhide what it was Barricade was thinking of, or rather who, and he wrapped his arms around the smaller mech, letting him lean fully against him. ~"That's cause I ain't them, 'Cade. I could never be like them, I could never hurt ya."~ he murmured softly, rubbing Barricade's back soothingly. ~"Even when we fought n I tried ta take ya down, I just... I couldn't do it 'Cade, I couldn't kill ya. Somethin' in me always stopped me, wouldn't let me finish it, just knock ya out fer a while. I just... I couldn't let myself be the one ta extinguish yer Spark."~ He vented softly then, bringing his hand back up to caress his cheek again. ~"Didn't realize it til now why I always let ya go, why I could never finish it. I still love ya, n I couldn't see ya die."~ he added, his voice fading to a whisper as he spoke. He vented heavily a couple times trying to regain himself before he spoke again. ~"Even earlier, when we caught ya, even in a blind rage all I could do was punch ya, I couldn't really hurt ya... I love ya too much ta really hurt ya, 'Cade... That never left me, never stopped no matter how angry I was... I could bring down whole cities in rage, but I could never truly hurt ya..."~ he told Barricade then, revealing what he had finally come to realize after all this time.

~"I know you're not them."~ Barricade responded, wiggling a bit so he was snuggled right up against Ironhide, almost taking shelter in the older mech. ~"I called for you...after the first time they...they..."~ He took in another gulp of air. ~"Crankcase said that if I kept doing it, then they'd all go out and find you 'n bring you back there, then they'd...they'd take you too, each of them, before tearing you apart, 'n I didn't want that to happen. Even though I was still mad and still hated you, I dun even know why I called out for you, I didn't want them to do that to you..."~

Ironhide's cooling systems hitched a bit as Barricade spoke. Knowing that even then, when Barricade hated him so much, when the young mech desperately needed help, Barricade had cried out to Ironhide alone to save him. Ironhide hugged him close, gently pulling him into his lap so he could get both arms firmly around Barricade. ~"Even though we didn't understand why, even though we thought the worst, we couldn't stop lovin' each other... part o' us just could never let go..."~ he murmured softly and nuzzled Barricade gently. He looked at Barricade then, his expression soft. ~"Whatever ya have ta do ta make it go away n take back what they took from ya, I want ya ta do it. I dun care what it takes, I want ya ta do it. I can take it, even if ya have ta tear new scars inta my chassis, I dun slaggin care, just do what ya gotta do, I want ya to..."~ he told Barricade firmly and sincerely then, his expression very serious and full of love and trust as he looked at the younger mech, looking straight into his red optics.

Barricade blinked in surprise, four red optics staring at Ironhide's two, and the glaring red softened. ~"I dun wanna hurt you, Ironhide, especially not now I wouldn't."~ He turned his attention to Ironhide's armor, claws gently tracing curves and angles, running all the way down to Ironhide's abdominal plates. He remembered, the first night he'd spent in the cell, when Ironhide had used his interface cable to push fluids into him while he as energon-starved. ~"May I...see?"~ He wanted to reassure himself that there really had been nothing hurting him, even though it had felt like it.

Ironhide caressed Barricade's cheek and nodded, leaning back fully against the wall and fully exposing his torso to the younger mech. He closed his optics as Barricade's claws lightly caressed across his abdominal plates and they responded almost immediately to his question, opening easily under Barricade's touch. Under the armor plating, the interface module's paneling was smooth, only slight ribbing along its surface forming a series of 'V's running top to bottom. In the center Barricade could see the apertures containing his interface cable with his matching interface port below it, the raised ring-like ridge surrounding the port itself to allow the claspers of an interface cable to get a firm grip and seal the interface link. Ironhide looked up at Barricade then, watching quietly for a moment, his hands resting on the younger mech's sides as he sat facing him om his lap. ~"Go on, it's okay, 'Cade. I swear I won't hurt ya, n I know ya won't hurt me. It's okay. Do what ya gotta do, Lil Sprite."~ he whispered softly, using a nickname he once called Barricade long ago when they were together, a name he never used unless they were completely alone together, hoping to gently encourage Barricade.

Barricade moved his hands a bit so that they weren't resting directly on Ironhide's interface module, and brought one claw over to lightly stroke the tip of Ironhide's cable. It had looked smooth, and he could now confirm that it actually was smooth. ~"No claws...It's not sharp..."~ He had no intention of speaking of what had actually happen, but the little things that he said gave tiny glimpses into the events.

A slight tremor went through Ironhide's frame then and he closed his optics, his interface cable slowly sliding out towards Barricade's hand a few inches, enough to fully expose the entire tip and first three segments as the end of it opened, six rounded tipped digits unfolding slowly from under the domed casing that split into six triangular pieces that rested against the lowest part of the back of each digit. in regular sections were narrow bands of soft blue light, breaking up the smooth black flexible metallic 'skin' of the cable into segments as wide as two of Ironhide's fingers, the glowing bands barely one fifth as wide. The cable itself was tentatively reaching out, the smooth rounded digits lightly touching Barricade's hand as if inquisitively exploring what had touched it, curious about this hand it found. Ironhide remained quiet, trying to steady his venting and calm his own need rising in him, letting Barricade explore his heavy frame in whatever way he needed to.

Barricade laughed a little bit as the cable seemed to start inspecting his hand, bringing his other hand over to lightly run a claw down the side of the cable gently, gradually applying more pressure so that he was stroking it. Then, moving the hand that the cable had been inspecting, he ran a claw along the rim of Ironhide's port, tracing it much the same as he had done when he and Ironhide had shared their first interface session.

Hearing Barricade's small laugh made Ironhide smile and he looked up at the younger mech lovingly. His cable responded to the gentle stroking, easing itself further out and gently curling around Barricade's hand, nuzzling gently in response to the soft caresses. Ironhide moaned softly then as the younger mech traced the rim of his port and Ironhide's hands tightened around Barricade's waist as if wanting to pull him closer, yet didn't. ~"Oh Primus, 'Cade..."~ he whispered breathlessly and arched his frame a bit, his head resting against the wall behind him. In his processor he felt like he was going to go absolutely mad with pent up need, but he forced the feeling down, fearful of scaring or hurting Barricade accidentally in his attempt to give them both a much needed release.

Barricade looked up when Ironhide spoke, and what he was doing to the larger mech finally caught his processor. He wasn't sure if he could handle interfacing with his old friend and mentor already, but....
An idea came to him, and he coaxed Ironhide's cable tip near his port, though he looked up at Ironhide before bringing them close enough to connect. ~"Trust me?"~ He questioned, wanting to hear Ironhide give consent before continuing.

After thinking for several minutes, Red Alert shook his helm in frustration and stood up, leaving the security room once more and heading back towards the brig. He'd wanted to avoid doing this, but he'd decided enough was enough. When he reached the outer door of the brig, he punched in his override code to open the door, and stepped into the outer chamber. He didn't spare a glance at the door to the inner room, merely heading directly for the monitor console. Once there, he reactivated the monitoring system and locked it with his override codes, then stopped and looked at the monitor showing the cell Barricade was in. Ironhide was in the cell with Barricade, and his abdominal plates were open. Red Alert turned, not wanting to contemplate any more of it. It was a private matter, and neither one appeared to be forcing the other to do anything. With a shake of his helm, he left, and locked the door behind him in a way that would require an officer's override codes, or being unlocked from the inside. "I won't tell a Spark." He made his way back to the security office, and once inside, set the feed to delete from the mainframe's memory. He could always blame it on a camera malfunction.
