Blindspot did believe him outright, because KARR was a superior officer, and superior officers were not to be questioned. At times, Blindspot found himself in the uncomfortable position of disobeying a superior--some of the Decepticons weren’t what one would call… well, sane, but it always upset him when he had to defy their will to defend himself. KARR was taking steps to reassure Blindspot that he could be trusted, but he had already gained the drone‘s blind, unwavering trust. “He did not speak of you. We talked more about the present than the past.” And they had spent a healthy bit of time engaged in an exhilarating race. Blindspot’s engine gave a faint rumble just thinking about it.
“Well, sir, I am created to obey. It is just in my nature.” He surmised from KARR’s words that the vehicle didn’t know much about drones. “I have actually outlived my original function, so anything I can do to make my commanders’ jobs easier is my duty. Do you not know much of drones? Would you like me to explain further?”

"I know more than enough about drones, since I am one, in a way, as KITT and I are not supposed to be able to experience emotion, but that is a lie, not even since my upgrade. They underestimate us." he replied bitterly.
KARR knew he should not have expected that KITT did not say much if anything at all about him, not that he cared. He just detested being denied of any one he could trust or call family for so long, always rejected..."My creator had multiple purposes for me, and I failed all of them. I would not take orders from anyone, and he heavily disliked that. I do not recall how different I was back then because of being offlined by Mike Traceur, KITT's driver. They would not accept me for who I was. The Decepticons do." The fact that Mike was KITT's driver was old information now, not that KARR knew.

Blindspot regarded KARR as doubtfully as a faceless vehicle was able to. He did not question his commander (at least, not out loud), but this KARR fellow seemed to be about as far from a drone as one could get. He was out here alone, openly expressing scorn for his creators as well as his lack of desire to follow orders.
“Then I am happy for you, sir, to have found your rightful place,” the drone replied respectfully, “I am only sorry you had to go through such trouble to find it. I was fortunate enough to be built into the service for which I was intended.” He gave a thoughtful pause. “I forget that sometimes.” Uncertainty was a frightening concept. Blindspot would rather be under the command of a less-than-gentle superior than be adrift, alone, not know what he should do. “Thank you for reminding me.”
In his own polite way, Blindspot had just told KARR that he had taken the exact opposite lesson than the one the vehicle’s speech had been intended to inspire.

KARR was jealous yet mildly humbled at the same time as Blindspot was reminded of his purpose for being created. It took him for a while before he decided if he should say anything. "You are...welcome." he replied with a short pause. "I wish that was the same case for me, but alas it is not. But...I have learned to 'live to my life to the fullest' as the humans say."
He sunk on his chassis further, feeling the ghost pains of betrayal kicking in again. Such emotions were never welcomed by him.

“I think perhaps I understand that--to a point. I was created to serve a specific function, which was to assist in the hunt for my Lord. When that hunt was over, I felt that I had officially outlived my original purpose. I didn’t realize until later that I had been incorrect. My purpose was much broader than simply locating my Lord.”
He rasping voice took on a slightly eager note as he spoke, possessed as he was by zealous loyalty even just speaking of Megatron. “But I was also made to serve his will. My original purpose was just a small aspect of my broader function. Once I realized that, I was much less uncertain.” He returned his attention to KARR. “Perhaps you should consider such a train of thought? Is there any way you may recapture your original purpose by associating it with a broader function?”

"As far as I can tell, I am not as lucky as you. I do not recall having a general purpose beyond what my functions suggest. My original function was supposed to be similar to my twin's, which I failed. The rest however I am fulfilling by my time as a Decepticon. It seems like I must be content with my duties. What else would you suggest?" KARR tried to consider the origins of the other's perspective. For a drone, Blindspot seemed proud of what he was in a good way. He hadn't met any of the others. They all seemed the same to him. After this encounter though, he would certainly think differently.

Blindspot was honored and a little humbled to have KARR consulting him for his opinion. He went silent as he gave the other’s question due consideration. “I do not think,” he eventually concluded, “that there is much I can suggest. I suppose it would be best just to embrace your new function.”
He rocked forward on his wheels slightly. “You are a Decepticon! That is something to be very proud of. You have been accepted into the ranks of the greatest warriors in the galaxy, a faction that has crossed the gulf of space to find this planet. I am certain that my superiors did not accept you into their ranks lightly. Whatever your creators had intended for you, it is surely not as great as the function you now fulfill.” Blindspot had been blessed with a noble purpose from his first activation. KARR had clearly not been so lucky.

"I will take your advice then. There is no reason to be discontent regardless, after all. For I am indeed lucky to have been accepted by someone. I would not do well working with humans anyway. They are sloppy and highly judging creatures. Many are also quite selfish. Sometimes I admit I wish I could be accepted by my twin, but I do not think the humans would ever be comfortable around me. Therefore I will do whatever I think is right and pick a side that benefits my survival. Would you do the same thing? It is not wrong of me to think that way is it?" KARR questioned, a bit unsettled about the fact that so many had formerly disapproved of his entire being and programming.

Blindspot would have nodded in agreement, had he possessed a head in his alt mode. He shared KARR's view on humans. What he'd seen of them so far was mostly negative, though he had to admit his first meeting with an actual human, face-to-face, hadn't been that bad. When KARR spoke of wanting to be accepted by KITT, Blindspot grew thoughtful. He knew the ties of family were supposed to be strong, even if he hadn't experienced them himself (In truth, Blindspot had experienced something similar; he had cared for another drone like a brother before, but that individual was long dead).
Blindspot was taken aback when KARR asked for his opinion. As soon as the shock faded, a sense of honor crept in. He had not expected to be consulted in such a manner. He gave KARR's question due consideration, and after a few moments, he finally, slowly replied, “No. Survival is your right, and so is freedom. I believe that you are a creature that requires freedom to thrive. That is your nature. I do not think it is wrong to be true to your nature. We would call it heeding the call of one's Spark. There are some truths, some... some feelings that cannot be denied. And your desire for freedom was clearly one of them. They come from your very essence, your soul.” Of course, Blindspot assumed KARR had no Spark, but that didn't mean he should be treated like a Sparkless machine. Clearly he was sentient, even if his sentience was an alien sort of sentience.
Whether or not he realized it, he was implanting a small idea in his own processor, an idea that might later spring back to the forefront of his mind when he had to make an important decision about his future. “When these truths come from your Spark, you do not question. You follow. I think you did what was right.”

A year ago, KARR would probably have no idea what Blindspot was talking about. He knew that he had something of a Spark now though, and so because of the changes he went through in his revival, he understood more fully as to what he was talking about. But what about the drones? Shouldn't they have their own rights to freedom? They were sentient after all, he knew that. "Doesn't that mean you have the same rights? And the other Decepticon drones? You too are sentient." he questioned, settling a bit on his wheels. No wonder he was so confused from the start of his creation...
