Ironhide snorted once Sideswipe got between himself and Ratchet. "Hmph, tell that ta Ratchet. I just wanna get ta doin' my rounds n he won't let me leave the slaggin' med bay. Keeps tryin' ta pry inta personal matters he got no business gettin' inta." he growled back. He then picked up his big peddes and quite literally turned around on the berth, then planted his feet on the other side and stood up. "I explained it t' ya 'least three times already n I dun wanna discuss it further. I got sick, coughed up a bit o' Energon, saw rust n metal filin's in it n came t' ya ta clear out my tanks. That's slaggin' all I'm gonna say 'bout it." he stated firmly then and started walking towards the med bay door. "I'm gonna go get some Energon 'fore I black out, then I'm doin' my rounds..." he muttered as he walked, venting a heavy sigh.

Ratchet glared at Sideswipe as he intervened, hearing what the mech said and seeing Ironhide scoot off the berth in a harsh manner. Hearing what he said about his privacy caused the medic to think... and now, understanding it was something personal, so personal that he couldn’t even tell him... Ratchet thought to him self as he looked at Sideswipe. “'Hide you're stubborn as ever, and you're not getting out of it that easily!” he said, not bothering to fallow him. Seeing sideswipe in front of him, he let 'Hide go for now.

Sidewipe just watched them then lowered his arms when Ironhide left and Ratchet finally dropped whatever had about caused them to go at each other,"And you guys say I'm bad."He remarked almost not seeming himself these days. In fact he seemed rather irritated, too cheerful, serious...almost a mix of emotions lately but he never stuck around long to let them ask about it. And with this finally over he only gave Ratchet a nod before he went to leave as well grabbing his head as the processor ache hit again.

Ironhide snorted again, but he kept quiet. It wasn't worth arguing with Ratchet over it and decided it was best to let it drop and leave while he could. Once out of the med bay he headed for the Energon storage and got his painfully empty tanks refilled again. Venting softly in relief, he turns and heads out to the tarmac, transforming into his alt mode to begin his daily rounds of the base as usual, though his processor wasn't fully on what he was doing, more running on auto pilot than anything else as he went about his duties. He would definitely need to talk to Barricade that night and try to ease some of the stress he felt, and let the younger mech know how he felt. It concerned the scout after all, it was about him and as far as Ironhide was concerned, Barricade was the only mech who really needed to know what was going on.

Ratchet watched ' Hide leave the med bay completely, then then turned his concern to Sideswipe, seeing him try to walk out as he took a few strides forward. Ratchet placed his hand on the silver much’s shoulder. “Sideswipe you seem to be in pain by the way you're holding your cranial plate... maybe I can help you,” he offered to his friend, letting the tension of Ironhide go for now as he saw Sideswipe needed his help now.

Sideswipe watched Ironhide leave but stopped as Ratchet grabbed his shoulder and looked back at the old medic, not wanting to confess that his possible drinking problem. "Just had a rough training session this morning Ratchet, it's nothing serious."He assured him holding back a wince since he knew he really had too much high grade for the pain to be so much, a good recharge would help but his sleeping patterns had become quite off by a lot to where he trained during the night and slept during the day or was up for a few days then slept when he got exhausted. Other times he drank himself to near full system overload and he passed out from the excess energy which resulted in painful processor aches and going on those few days of training.

Ratchet looked at him as he spoke. “Sideswipe, you seem to be having pain and spasms from training, let me help you,” he said, knowing Sideswipe also was hiding something from him. He'd seen Sideswipe having an unusual pattern over the last couple of days... “Sides, have you had any high-grade lately? That might be part of your spasms as well,” he said, wondering if Sideswipe had a few drinks.

Sideswipe thought he could at least twist the truth but he wouldn’t be ready to confess the full truth,”I had some last night.”He confessed yet he had more than a few, by far not even close to it. Problem was he didn’t exactly want anyone to find out about his growing drinking issues knwing what or how they would react, many of which he didn’t want to think about.

Ratchet nodded his head to the sliver mech. “Hmmm... Sideswipe, I think you should take it easy. Even though it was a small amount, a hangover might be one of the causes of your aching processor, and if continued it can get worse,” he explained, hoping Sideswipe would listen to him. “I can give you a slight pain reliever to help the pain in your processor if you want me to, Sideswipe,” he said to him, slightly walking over to his medical counter. He cleaned up the slight mess from cleaning Ironhide’s Tanks before he got the pain reliever, giving Sideswipe some time to disagree or to except his proposal.

Sideswipe looked towards Ratchet for a moment and nodded a bit as he took it from Ratchet and had the pain killer,”Guess I will Ratchet. Been busy a lot so just wanted to have to relax time last night and had a bit more than I thought.”He said attempting to smile and hope the medic believed hit bluff which he doubted it. But it wasn’t exactly like he could confess to having high grade every other night which had grown from one every month to every other week to several every other week then to every other night. It was indeed a growing problem.

Ratchet looked at Sideswipe as he had finished cleaning the mess up. “Okay, Sideswipe, I can give you a quick shot though your energon lines to help ease the pain... But please try not to drink too much high-grade! It can be highly addicting,” he said to the silver mech as he walked up to him holding the vial in his hand. “Ready, my friend. This will not hurt you,” he ensured him, but waited to see if Sideswipe was aware that he was getting ready to give him the pain reliever shot.

{"A little late for that doc."} He thought, Sideswipe well aware that it was addicting and he was already hooked. The problem was he was likely not to get off of it any time soon, in fact it was going to get worse, much worse if he didn't stop soon. But as Sideswipe looked at the shot he seemed to shuffle his 'foot' a bit since he wasn't a big fan of shots, much like most humans and bots weren't."Sure." He mumbled standing still to allow Ratchet to give him the shot.

Ratchet looked at him as he came close to Sideswipe's arm. Seeing that he was a bit tense, Ratchet asked: “Are you sure, Sideswipe?" He looked at Sideswipe as the shot was ready. “If you do not want the shot, I don’t have to give to you, you know,” he said, wanting to make sure Sideswipe had the choice... but in a way, Ratchet was going to give him the shot no matter what. He paused for a moment, then, seeing Sideswipe a bit relaxed, he brought it to his arm. “Ready?” he asked, looking at him about to insert the shot into a valve and would send a slight presser to his energon lines to ease the pain.

Sideswipe gave him an irritated look,"Yes I'm ready." He said with a low growl, but there was still the pain and he was growing quite nervous the longer he was there. The growing anxiety was clear in the younger mech, where as he was normally the one relaxed, playful, and joking when he was even now a little more mature. But he had changed over the last couple months,a visible change at that and anyone would likely be concerned. But Sideswipe was sure the first ones who would notice were Notitia and Ironhide, considering he had been close to them. But he was also sure right now Ratchet would pick up on something being very wrong.

Ratchet nodded to Sideswipe's response, noticing he was not acting like himself. A few moments passed, and Ratchet inserted the pain medication into Sideswipe’s Energon lines and put the vial down. After doing so, he said: “Sideswipe, there is more to this the your telling me... Tell me what is wrong. You know you can trust me, my friend.” As he spoke, he turned back in Sideswipe's direction after putting the now empty vial in its receptacle. Ratchet kept his gaze on Sideswipe for a moment, hoping he would accept his offer and tell him the real reason he was in pain and why the silver mech wasn't acting like himself. Ratchet knew there was more to his story and he had to find out, so that he could help him with anything that might be bothering him. Ratchet didn’t want to see another mech he knew waste away from something that he perhaps could have helped them with...
