Cira eyed the hand and hesitated, keeping put out of respect, though she did chuckle a little when he mentioned Wheeljack. For now since she didn't know Jazz well, observing was enough for her. Her mind froze, unable to ask him any questions she might have had. Noting the subject change, Cira folded her arms and scratched one side of her jaw uncertainly. "He's just...KITT. He has some social issues. Guess he's still distant around you guys because he's not comfortable enough. He doesn't feel in the way you guys do, and he hates bein' in others' way, he was always known as me 'n Dad's companion and 'the super car', nothing more..." she flipped onto her hands for a moment and walked around randomly while waiting to hear what Jazz's nanoform/holoform had to say, oblivious to the other side of the conversation.

KITT felt as though he had forgotten Jazz's real form was within shouting distance from his real self. KITT concluded he must have been focusing on his holoform more than he had thought he would. It WAS fun to use, after all. While the holoform was exploring the larger building, his frame rolled back a litte nervously. He thought carefully over what to say. He understood what Jazz was trying to tell him, and now to his slight emarassment, he had to correct what he had said earlier. "I am sorry. I was trying to inspire Cira to not hesitate in spending time with you on a friendship basis, not that you two should date - I suppose my sarcasm didn't reach past Cira. For that I apologize. All though, it would be nice to see her with someone, however I understand why it is difficult for a human to be compatible with Cybertronians, such reasons are obvious." Unless of course Cira's dream of getting a robotic form like the Cybertronians had for herself came true, then loving relationships with the Cybertronians were indeed difficult, and seemingly awkward to some when first thinking about it. Even to KITT it seemed awkward because of their life span and sheer differences.

Inside the building, Jazz' miniature shrugged and tilted his head. "But he's not just a car, he's alive, like us, isn't he?" he asked Cira. "I mean, yeah he was made by humans, but he does think and act for himself, that would mean he's alive, even without a Spark. He's not just a drone following orders." He shook his head then and sighed. "I suppose our kind would be more likely to see him as alive than humans would since he's more like us, a more familiar kind of life I suppose." he added and looked around the interior of the building as Cira moved around him. He suddenly felt a bit awkward standing there, especially with her seeming to deliberately keep her distance from him. His nanoform shifted and returned to the human like appearance again, hoping that would make her feel more comfortable and less stand offish, though he did not approach her. Instead he turned and looked at the door that seemed to lead towards the larger building. "Hmmm, I wonder where this goes to." he offered cheerfully and forced the door open, then grinned back to her. "Shall we?" he offered, gesturing towards the open door and what lay beyond.
Outside, Jazz tilted his head a bit. "KI3T, I won't hurt you." he said, noticing the AI roll backwards from him as he approached. "You're alive like me, you deserve to be treated that way. All sentient life, and that includes you, should be free to do as they choose as long as it doesn't interfere with someone else's rights. Something the Decepticons never learned." He shook his head slightly, then addressed what KI3T had said. "I'm not worried about it. I haven't been active on Earth very long, but I'll get used to things eventually. It's alright though." he offered with a smile. He didn't know if KI3T would be amiable to any sort of gesture of contact, so he kept his hands down and close to himself for now. "You know, maybe we can see about getting you some upgrades, Cybertron style; a better holoform system for starters so you can better explore, and maybe a bot form too. If you want that is. We could easily talk to Wheeljack and Ratchet about it back at base later." he suggested, hoping that maybe with the offer of upgrades, KI3T would feel more welcomed and accepted at least among the Autobots.

KITT studied Jazz calmly as he listened, thinking through the wonderful idea of getting his own robotic form and a better holoform. Having both would certainly be amazing, he wanted to be able to fight and work properly with the Autobots some day. "I would like that, Jazz. I could be of better use to the Autobots if I had one in times of battle and helping around base when I am there. Unless Cira gets a different partner though, I cannot live and operate on base like Interceptor and the rest of you, we have our own function and the contract has not expired, so unless I speak to the authorities I would still be a visitor as usual. I do not know how Cira would feel about moving to NEST, she has other obligations as well. I am a bit avoidant around others, as much as I feel like I belong more with the Autobots than the humans, given my abilities and what I am, but I think I would feel more comfortable if I had a robotic form for when I wanted to work/visit with others." he replied.

"yeah, me n my folks/family at work in California are the only ones that treat him like a person on a regular basis. Everyone else I meet has ta get used to him so to speak." Cira glanced towards the door and bolted out, doing a series of cartwheels on the way out. "Aye, let's go!"
She was having way too much fun with this.

Jazz nodded and settled there, almost sitting as he listened to KI3T. He smiled then and nodded. "Well, contracted obligations have to be dealt with, but you are a sentient being, so you have the right to choose where you go. And who knows, maybe we get you some upgrades you n I could train together so you can learn how to use your new form more effectively. I wouldn't mind honestly, I like making new friends n being helpful." he offered with a grin. "Heck, even just like this we could do something like, I dunno, race or something. I just really needed to get off the base and move around before I rust and fall apart. Ratchet was driving me crazy." he added and shook his head. He then looked around and spotted the cluster of three round smoke stacks, large ones, which had pipes and walkways attached to them and were connected to the main building through a conveyor system and a lower structure. "Ooohohohoh that looks good!" he suddenly blurted out and stood, making a run for the structure.
DJ chuckled and followed Cira through and ran up one of the nearby conveyor platforms to push off and grab hold of an overhanging pipe, swinging out and over to another series of pipes to follow them over to the edge where he hung there by one arm and looked around for a moment before building up momentum to swing out and up to the floor above. "Oh hey, Cira, check this out!" he called and she could hear him running above before launching himself up and out to grab some overhead piping and swung over to land on the rim of one of the disused smelting pots. "This place is a regular obstacle course!" he called out and ran around the rim of the massive pot and jumped up to catch hold of the large armature holding a smaller pot suspended above the second floor, then climbed up to perch on the elevated end of it, grinning excitedly.

Cira followed Jazz onto the conveyor system but instead crawled through the small gap in the wall at the point the conveyor belts lead into the larger building. "I'm in Parkour heaven!" She found herself a foot or so near the lower smelting pot DJ had found. She practiced her balance along the edge of the smelting pot before doing a flip off the opposite end and landing on the railing leading up to the opposite side of the smelting pots before the next set farther into the room. She then grabbed onto the railing and swung low between the gap (small enough for it), flipped again and landed in a crouch before moving onward into the room with a double cartwheel to the left. She then ran at another more cylindrical smelting pot and did a running pass with a back flip.
She then moved into a jog and considered where to go next. Running towards a wall, she ran along it for a bit before hopping over a random station doing the kong, then another by flipping herself over her hands. At some point she was going to go to the next level up, but not at the moment. There were things to explore on the lower level first.

KITT was about to offer a race when not a second later, Jazz got distracted by the steel mill's structure. He sighed inwardly and decided it still wasn't too late to ask. <"Perhaps we could race a bit once you have explored more of the steel mill.>" he suggested to Jazz via comlink once he was out of immediate hearing range.

Jazz was already starting his rather acrobatic climb when he heard KI3T's offer over the closed com. He looked back at KI3T then and grinned. <"Now that sounds like a great idea!"> he piped in cheerfully, then continued his climb, using his natural agility and the structure to climb in an almost Cirque De Soleil style. He was clearly enjoying just getting out to move around freely, and it became very clear to the black AI that Jazz was one bot who would certainly die inside if confined for very long.
DJ watched her from his perch and couldn't help but smile. The way she moved, her speed and grace, the agility and strength of her frame, he found himself drawn to her movements, admiring her intently. When he realized he was actually staring at her, he shook his head and tried to distract himself with looking for another route to explore before leaping out and catching hold of a series of pipes near the edge of the second level floor. He then simply traveled along it by hand, swinging like an ape through the trees. He glanced over at her and found his Spark quickening slightly as she moved along the smelting pots. He hung there for a moment, watching her, then looked away and dropped down on the other side of one of the pots out of sight, leaning against it trying to collect himself.

Cira continued to move to the other end of the room, climbing over a generator of one of the assembly stations connecting to an old unused fluids/metals pit. She performed a precision leap from one edge of the pit to the other, the space just barely being wide enough for her to make it with little momentum gained. Using the forward swing she leaped onto a set of maintenance ladder built into the wall via another giant precision leap.
Unfortunately these particular stairs were getting a little too weak to hold that kind of force and began to give way. They slid and the lower rusted half below her feet slipped off completely. Leaping desperately she clung to the good end of the ladder with a 'woah' and tucked her feet up against it before deciding how to get to the second level.
She then pushed off with a small grunt and grabbed onto the very base of one of the upper walk ways, inched over to the end with her lower half swinging for a bit. Using gymnastics basics, she swung her knees above herself between the edge of the walk way then used a bar to pull herself up from the waist before settling into a kneel to survey the upper level and testing the walkway's weight before continuing on.
She scanned for DJ, having trouble spotting him from this angle, but she knew he was probably somewhere on the other side still.
Meanwhile, outside, KITT rumbled his engine in anticipation and excitement before settling on his wheels a bit while he waiting for Jazz's real form to race whenever he was ready.

DJ heard the scrape of metal and Cira's startled yelp, but when he looked for her, he saw that she seemed to have things well in hand already. He watched as she climbed, marveling at her strength and agility for a moment before inwardly berating himself and ducking out of sight again. The whole thing unsettled him more than a little; here he was in an abandoned steel mill with a human female, essentially alone, and he found himself more than merely admiring her technique and skill, he was admiring her, drawn to her like a magnet. But she was human, not one of his own kind, and he could not for the life of him understand why such feelings had risen up within him like this, especially towards a human. He had always been fiercely independent, never needing anyone yet always there to offer a laugh or support to his friends. Still, here he was, looking at Cira in ways he never thought he would consider towards anyone, except perhaps his adoptive brother, Red Alert, who was likely about to blow a gasket when he finds out Jazz had made a run for it off base and vanished. All he could do was sigh and shake his head before making a run for one of the other smelting pots, running up the side of it and catching the top with his hands to pull himself up before running around the rim and launching himself off the opposite side to catch hold of the second level railing, his feet planted on the edge of the floor. With a quick glance around he found a support beam at the edge of the floor platforms that could get him up to the third floor, so he hopped over the rail and ran for it, running up the vertical surface and catching hold of the floor of the third level and pulling himself up, then swinging his body to one side to hook a leg on the edge and tuck up inward to roll under the rail and onto the third floor itself. From there he wandered off towards one of the broken windows, looking out towards where the base was, wondering if he was worrying his friends needlessly just to get out and get some real exercise.
It didn't take long for Jazz to reach the top of the smoke stack, and there he perched, crouched low, one hand on the rim, his other arm draped across one knee, looking around. He seemed pensive then, almost thoughtful and uncertain. He lowered his head, looking at the area around him as if looking for another place to move to, though his thoughts were miles away. He couldn't help it, torn between freedom, the tug he felt towards Cira, and feeling like somehow he was hurting those closest to him by being out there, leaving without a word to anyone of what he was doing, where he was going, or how long he'd be gone. He contemplated contacting the base to let them know he was fine, yet he knew that doing so would only bring a righteous tirade down on himself from the others, especially Ratchet and Red Alert. All he could do was sigh and shake his head helplessly as he settled there on the smokestack rim and hope things would work out for the better eventually. At least KI3T and Cira seemed to understand his need to get out and be free, that was some consolation he could hold onto anyway as he looked over and gave KI3T an appreciative smile.

Cira started to walk along the maintenance walkway, whose support beams crossing the second level reached towards the smelting pots and some other old large machines. She knew it was risky, but those beams were calling to her, she wanted to see if she could make it across with out falling. At least, if she did fall she could either land on something half way or, pass out happy (hopefully not die from such a fall it would depend on the way she fell and just how high up they were).
Carefully she used both feet and hands to set herself on one end of a beam off to the right side of the building above one of the large smelting pots. She bounced on it a bit, testing it with her weight distributed as it was before she made her way across. These were the kinds of heights she was more cautious around. She would stay on all fours because standing up might be too risky until she was mostly all the way across.
As she made her way across she looked down into the smelting pot and yelled: "ECHOooo!" and a faint echo rounded off the large pot, bouncing back at her in a way. She continued to move across before cautiously standing up and testing her balance when she was confident the beam could carry her weight.

DJ heard her call and looked back towards where she was, an amused smile on his face. He then walked over to the third floor railing and looked over at where she was, leaning on the railing a bit. "This place is something else, ain't it?" he asked as he looked around a bit, then back to her. "There's smokestacks outside, I'm kinda perched up on top of one of them. There's piping n such you could use to climb up if you want." he offered with a tilt of his head as he watched her move along one of the beams, admiring the curvature of her frame a bit too intently before quickly looking away and hoping she didn't see.
Outside on the smokestack, Jazz merely settled there, looking around thoughtfully. He almost seemed lost or uncertain for a moment before he looked down into the smokestack itself. Something caught his attention and he leaned down a bit, his hands gripping the inside rim as he scanned the interior below him, noting the tubes and tunnels that led back towards the main building. He began to wonder if they were big enough for his nanoform to get through and explore, and as if in response to this thought, his holoform looked in that direction and began making his way towards what looked like the exhaust vent system that led that way from the West end of the second floor.

Cira was glad DJ was in front of her instead of off to the side somewhere. If he had been off to the side, merely turning her head suddenly could have caused a temporary loss of balance, something that could make things go severely wrong for her. She'd lost her balance that way before, and it wasn't fun, especially when she had to soften her fall to avoid injuries and barely achieved it. It often left her heart skipping a couple beats. Nevertheless, she didn't have to worry about that here. "Sweet! I'll check that out in a sec, I'll carefully make mah wake over -- err, up." she replied, standing up on to her feet a little past the halfway point on the beam. Her legs wobbled slightly as she maintained her balance as carefully as she could.
She then grabbed onto the railing DJ was leaning against and pushed off it into a jump with her arms, then studied the area for a possible way up. She could brave it by going on the outside, but the integrity probably wasn't much better on the outside vertically. Cira walked over to the maintenance ladder that would take maintenance personnel up to the roof in case the roof or a part of the smokestacks needed maintenance. Luckily, this set of ladder didn't falter on her, so she was able to access the hatch which led to an opening outside. She looked around before continuing, her eyes going all directions and then towards the smokestacks to look for Jazz. It didn't take her long to spot his shiny figure.
She would start making her way over, and studied the piping veeeery intently before she started the initial stages of her climb up the smokestack Jazz was perched on. Cira figured-and hoped- might be room for her up there.

DJ nodded to her and then moved to the vent system, inspecting the opening before disipating his nanoform and letting the cloud of nanocells slip through the grating that covered the vent, reassembling on the inside without the holoform. He then gradually made his way along through the heavy pipe towards the smoke stacks, uncertain which pipe went to which stack, but having fun exploring none the less.
Jazz smiled a bit and turned, looking over at Cira as she popped out on the roof of the main building. He waved to her then, grinning like a Sparkling before he stood and started walking around the rim of the exhaust tower he had perched himself on. As he moved, he started doing random slow turns and hops at first before planting his hands and arching his frame to bring his feet up over his head, then 'walked' on his hands completely around the rim before bringing his feet straight out to either side, turning, then lowering himself to sit down on the top with his legs stretched out to either side of him. He looked over at her then and angled his torso downward until he stuck out horizontally from the top of the smokestack rim, his legs still out to either side along the top and his hands reaching down to grip some of the piping below him to provide support while he sat there at such an odd angle. He smiled down at her and tilted his head a bit, watching her quietly and wondering how she was going to make her way up to him. Inwardly he imagined her climbing up the tower and straight into his arms, though he shook the thought away quickly and lowered his head to look at the pipes his hands were holding on to. {"Yer gonna go loopy in the processor if you don't knock it off, slag for neural core..."} he thought to himself irritably, yet he couldn't help sneaking a peek at Cira again before looking away and sitting up again, bringing one leg out to dangle over the outside rim of the stack, idly swinging it slightly as it hung there while he remained sitting on the top, his other leg still outstretched along the flat surface as it gently curved back away from him. He looked out to the horizon again, seemingly lost in thought, trying to forget a lot of things he simply did not want to remember anymore.
