((October 18th, 2027 - Somewhere in space, 3 star systems away)) Thundercracker had grown bored, but more than that, he had begun to question whether it was all worth it. While he had spent time traveling between the Nemesis Base on the fourth planet of some insignificant star in this rather average looking barred spiral galaxy, the bar being remnant evidence of a long ago galactic collision, and what remained of Cybertron in a nearby galaxy, he had yet to make contact with Megatron since he had been found, let alone with his Trine brothers. While he didn't mind Skywarp, Starscream grated on his nerves. He was Starscream's second, and Starscream was head of the Seeker Armada, second in command to Lord Megatron, and that fact alone had kept his doubts and any thoughts of insubordination in check, not to mention the universal fear of not only Lord Megatron, but also of his Communications Officer and personal hound, Soundwave. No one dared cross that creeper mech out of fear he would make good on some of the worst nightmare stories about him. The thought made Thundercracker's frame shudder slightly and he buried the idea. Fear was unbecoming of the Seeker SiC, especially when he himself used fear against his enemies. He knew the power of terror, and he knew well how to use it, which gave him a unique perspective on the stories about Soundwave - if even half of them were true, Soundwave was as lethally terrifying as Megatron himself, and no one dared cross the warlord and live to tell about it. Well, no one except Starscream, but as inept and stupid as Starscream seemed, he always managed to stay just this side of Megatron's last nerve, though only barely. He was lazily flying past another nondescript star system when a blip appeared on his scanners, a blip that looked like another Cybertronian signal. But at this range, identifying that signal was problematic at best, especially with the binary star's magnetic interference. So, he diverted his flight path and headed inward towards the planets, three large gaseous orbs with massive geomagnetic fields, a myriad of moons, and debris rings of varying sizes and densities. He hoped he would find Skywarp, considering he hadn't seen the black and purple jet in some time. In some strange way, he missed his younger Trine brother.

The black Cybertronian jet had settled into an easy flight path, making his way to the distant planet that his brothers were on via the most direct route. His thoughts were mostly inward, reaching across the bond to communicate with his brothers, or at least try to. Their bond was so strained across the distance that he was surprised it hadn't faded away.
A blip on his radar caught his attention, which brought him out of his thoughts. He couldn't tell which faction the signal belonged to, so he continued at his current speed, but kept a sensor peeled. His weapons array hummed to life, just in case.

In a sweeping arc through the system, Thundercracker slipped between the two stars, careful to pass through the gravitational center of their binary orbit, angling towards the Cybertronian signal he had picked up as it passed the outermost of the three gaseous planets. As the signal gradually cleared, he realized it was from an Autobot, and not just any Autobot, but one of the fliers connected to that crackpot inventor, Wheeljack. ~"Oh goody, a Chickenbot all by his lonesome. Wonder where his brothers are?"~ he mused to himself and readied his weapons array. While he couldn't use his more terrifying abilities in space, he was far from defenseless. Lining up his shot and using the gravity well of one of the planets moons, he fired a missile to circle the moon right into the Aerialbot's flightpath for a head-on collision. At least, that is if the flybot didn't see the incoming missile before it was too late, anyway.

Space...
Space...
Space...
What was that over there?
Oh. More space.
Skywarp had never been so bored in his life. Flying was fun. Flying through space for Primus knew how many cycles was not fun. Being alone was especially not fun. He'd been separated from Starscream and Thundercracker right after Optimus Prime's message had been detected, so he'd eventually gotten fed up of sitting on his aft on Cybertron and had set out to find his lost trinemates. He'd prefer to find Thundercracker first - Starscream wasn't exactly right in the processor lately, what with his apparently increased dislike of Megatron. Skywarp himself didn't care for the Decepticon Leader, but he knew when to keep his vocal processor shut. Fear was a good motivator.
The black and purple Seeker used his engine sparingly, if only to save energy. Had he possessed more Energon, he would've gunned it and tried to get to the designated planet as soon as possible. But he did not, so he was forced to take the slow path. Which was processor-achingly tedious.
Wait. What was that? Two signals, up ahead. Both familiar. One was one of those Chickenbots that Wheeljack had created. Finally, some entertainment! The other... The other was Thundercracker! TC was here! For once, Skywarp was happy that he'd taken the slow path. He accelerated just a little bit, making sure to mask his signal so that the Aerialbot didn't know he was coming. He would give his trinemate some forewarning, though. </~"Hey TC, you need any help with that?"~\> He chuckled through the trine's comlink.

An additional ping on his radar helped Air Raid determine that he was not among friends. The ping was a missile, headed directly for him. The black jet pulled up and to his left, making a tight turnaround. {"Thundercracker. Fun."} Firing off a missile, he knew he had two options. He could either continue engaging the older, more experienced flier, which, as much as he'd love to show he just how well he and his brothers could fight, had a disadvantage. The Seeker did have much more experience than he did, both in general combat, and in fighting by himself. Air Raid was not used to fighting by himself, he and his brothers had always been together. His other option was to run, and try to make for the planet Optimus Prime had spoken of, and the one his brothers were on.
He hated trying to be responsible.
Firing off a second pair of missiles, he turned again, making a beeline for the star system of the marble planet.

The initial missile soon spiraled inward and impacted the moon's surface as Air Raid pulled away hard, and Thundercracker growled softly until he heard an all too familiar and welcome voice over the coms. </~"Skywarp? Primus! It's been too slagging long!"~\> he answered and tucked low and under the moon to avoid Air Raid's first missile. </~"Yeah, caught a Chickenbot alone out here. Wanna play "Smelt the Mech" with him?"~\> he asked with a chuckle and launched a pair of missiles to sling shot around the moon from different directions at Air Raid as he came around from yet a third direction, right in Air Raid's flight path. Here was his arena, here he knew well how to use gravity and magnetic fields to his advantage, something he had tried to teach Skywarp. Now to see if his Trine mate had been paying attention. They were still 3 star systems from where Optimus and Megatron were, but no one said they couldn't have some fun along the way.

</~"Ooh, my favourite game!"~\> Skywarp laughed back, speeding up again to head in a fourth direction at Air Raid, using the nearby planet's gravity to slingshot himself before suddenly disappearing in a flash of purple. A few moments passed by, before he reappeared right above Air Raid, having transformed to his mech form, taking a swipe at the Aerialbot's fuselage with his clawed digits. He didn't wait to see a reaction, knowing that two missiles were heading for the Autobot flier, so he warped again, this time flying alongside Thundercracker in his jet form, waiting to see what would happen to their new playmate. Hopefully this game of theirs wouldn't be over too soon. That would be very disappointing.

Everything was happening so quickly, Air Raid struggled a little bit to keep up. First, there were the missiles from Thundercracker, then there was the blue and gold jet himself. As the black Aerialbot readied his torque rifle to fire at Thundercracker, he felt claws rake through the top of his fuselage, making him roll with a yelp that was lost within the vacuum of space. {"And Skywarp?!"} Now he knew he had to get away. He was outnumbered while attempting to fight on an unfamiliar battleground. His radar pinged at the two new missiles, and he dove down, his engines firing up to full strength in an attempt to carry him away from the Seekers as quickly as possible. The gashes where Skywarp had gotten him stung, mostly from the circuitry beneath being exposed to the severe cold.

Thundercracker chuckled as the Airialbot made a desperate bid to fling himself away from the missiles and the Seeker pair. </"Primus just don't make fliers like he used to."\> he remarked to his trine mate before giving chase, a hail of bullets from his gatlin guns leading the way. </"I wonder if he's trying to get to Optimus and if his brothers are there too. What do you think, chase his stupid aft and shoot him down within sight of the planet?"\> he asked, rather liking the idea of shattering the Aerialbot's hopes right when the young flier thinks he's within reach of his goal.

Skywarp considered this for a few moments with a audible 'hmm' over the bond, before grinning mentally. </~"It'd make it more entertaining."~\> He agreed, though he had a few more thoughts afterwards. </~"We should be careful when we get close to the planet, though. We don't know what kind of defences they have."~\> He remarked, boosting his thrusters and keeping pace with his trinemate. Hopefully the Aerialbot wouldn't guess their plan and go off course so they wouldn't end up on that planet with the other Autobots. Noble as that would be, it would also be fairly irritating, and Skywarp might get impatient.

Air Raid did his best to try to lose the Seekers, weaving around moons and asteroids, feeling some of the shots pepper his fuselage. ~//"Guys! If you're out here and can hear me, I could really use some back up!"\\~ He shouted over the shared bond.
After what felt like an eternity of trying to shake the Seekers off, Air Raid entered the Sol system, passing by the first couple planets, which lifted his mood some. {"I'm almost there!"} He cheered mentally, zipping around the many moons of the ringed planet. A little further, and the blue-marble planet with its single moon came into view. His Spark soared with happiness, and he pushed his engines harder, not caring at this point if he burned them out.

Thundercracker had kept on the Aerialbot's trail, shooting at him periodically just to let the Autobot flier know that he was still there and ready to kill him at any time.As they circled the ringed planet of this new system, the one from where Optimus Prime's message had come, he knew it was now or never to kill this Autobot. He would deal a hard blow against the Autobots and cripple their aerial defense in the process, not that it was ever worth much to begin with. With that thought, he pinged his trine mate that now was the time, then released four missiles at their target, straight at Air Raid as the blue and green planet came into clear view ahead. </~"Kill him within sight of his goal, and his brothers."~\> he sneered over the link to Skywarp.

The chase had been pretty long, and at some points Skywarp's patience had been wearing thin, but the blue planet was within their sight now, and Thundercracker had sent the ping to signal the end of the Aerialbot. The black and purple Seeker fired four of his own missiles at the same time as his trinemate, snickering softly over their comlink as the last statement came through. What would kill the Aerialbot first? The impact? The temperature of space? The heat on his exposed systems as he flew out of control through the atmosphere? Skywarp was eager to find out. Then again, when this was over, they'd have to report to Lord Megatron. He shuddered at that thought - he wanted to put it off as long as possible.

Air Raid's radar pinged loudly at the approach of the missiles. {"Eight?! Now?!"} It partially didn't surprise him, but it did make him begin to panic. He began zipping around, trying to lose and avoid the missiles, passing the largest planet with the red spot, and reaching the asteroid field. One missiles was stopped there, hitting an asteroid and blowing up the large space rock. The other seven, however, remained on his tail as he exited the field and approached the red planet. {"Come on!"} He growled mentally, swinging around one of the red planet's moons, losing another two missiles and gaining speed. He shot for the moon of the blue planet, ringing around it, another missile gone. That, however, was when his luck ran out. The engines he'd been pushing so hard finally sputtered out, the damage and strain too much for them. {"No no no no!"} He transformed, turning as he brought out his torque rifle, firing at the missiles, managing to take the last four out, though the final one was a bit close when it exploded, sending him tumbling towards the planet.

Thundercracker laughed as the Aerialbot began falling out of control towards the blue planet's atmosphere. </~"Shall we just let him burn or finish him off?"~\> he asked Skywarp, pondering both options for a moment. He then decided he'd rather finish the chicken bot off than rely on him burning up in reentry... That was until he picked up a horrifyingly familiar ping on his sensors that made him shudder and veer off suddenly. </~"Slaggin creeper bot..."~\> he grumbled irritably as a silvery blue shadow drifted towards the tumbling Autobot.
