//"They do!"\\ Fireflight chirped happily, getting excited. //"And it's amazing how much the can do in such a short span of time! They don't live that long at all, most of them don't even live for a full century."\\ He was rambling slightly without even intending to, talking about whatever happened to come to mind, happy that at least one of his older brothers had landed safely.

Hmm, that wasn't long at all, Silverbolt realized. They really had such short life spans? //"How can they possibly get everything they want to do done in such a short amount of time?"\\ He asked, to himself more than Fireflight. Then again, sometimes he thought, though he never told his brothers or his father, that they did live a little too long, so maybe the humans were lucky. They didn't have to live for far more than just centuries, let alone during a civil war. But at least he had a large family to keep him company; one that would never abandon him when he needed them the most, especially with his fear of heights. He hoped it wouldn't take long to get back to the base; he had missed his father in the long years that they had been apart.

Were he in robot mode, Fireflight would have shrugged. //"I'm not sure. I haven't interacted with many of them. Though, there's one named Cira, she's a femme, or...well...female, and she loves flying! And she had a car, named KI3T, but he wasn't like any other human car. He could talk and stuff like us, but he didn't have a Spark, and he didn't have a robot mode at all. He's really nice."\\

A talking vehicle without a Spark? That was unusual. Silverbolt found himself wondering how on Earth that was possible, though a quick nosy at the internet told him that, lately, the humans had been focusing their efforts on something known as 'Artificial Intelligence'. Drones, perhaps? Drones that could think for themselves and didn't need a controller? Maybe that was where this KI3T had come from, but he'd find out the details when he got to the base. Right now, he was quite happy with listening to his younger brother's updates on what he'd missed so far on this planet, regarding the Cybertronians anyway.

A couple hours later, the NEST Base came into view on the ground below. From the air, it might seem sparse to some, a couple handfuls of buildings above ground scattered around with a runway dividing the base. Were one to look underneath, however, there would be much more. Offices, many living quarters, and other rooms were found in the underground of the base. Thankfully, there were a couple hangers for the larger-framed and aerial-framed bots. //"Home, sweet home!"\\

Silverbolt smiled to himself as he surveyed the base below, and began the descent towards it. As soon as he was close enough, he transformed and landed carefully near one of the hanger entrances. Glancing around curiously, he couldn't help but notice that there were only a couple of buildings, with a few aircraft dotted around. A quick scan told him that most of the Autobot activity was underground. He probably wouldn't be sticking around there for long, then; all of his brothers, including himself, got terribly claustrophobic. //"It's a very well hidden place. Nobody would suspect it."\\ He commented, though one burning question was on his processor. //"Now where is our father..."\\

//"It reminds me of home...back on Cybertron, that is..."\\ Fireflight commented as he transformed and landed near his brother. //"As for where dad is..."\\ <"Dad! Come quick! Come quick! I've got a surprise! Bring Jared with you, if you can!" He could barely contain his excitement over the reunion, and once again hoped that his other three brothers would hurry up and land, so that all of them could be a family again.

The sudden excited call over the closed coms from Fireflight startled Wheeljack and he very nearly dropped his tools as he was working on one of his many projects while his holoform and bonded son were putting a small engine together. The call had actually startled Wheeljack so much his holoform flickered a bit. "Well, seems Fireflight is really excited about something. Wanna go see what your big brother has gotten himself into?" Jack asked with a bit of a chuckle as Wheeljack set his tools down and carefully moved over to where Jared was, kneeling down and offering his hand so the ten year old could climb up. Jack stood then with a shake of his head. "Fireflight is often easily distracted or easily excited, always was. I wonder if he discovered a colorful bird and decided he had to bring it home and show it to us?" he pondered out loud thoughtfully. <"Alright, silly bot, we're coming."> he offered with a laugh in reply to Fireflight's excited call. Jared had met Fireflight a number of days ago when Jared was found by Chasm and brought to base, and the meeting and subsequent time together had gone pretty well considering, though he couldn't help but think of the other four, Fireflight's missing brothers, and poor Superion, divided between them and unable to awaken without all five of them together. His holoform flickered again, this time vanishing completely as the cloud of specialized nanocells returned to the white and blue mech.
He couldn't help it, as far as Wheeljack was concerned, the Aerialbots were his Sparklings through and through, he loved them dearly and the Engineer had been deeply worried about them all ever since he had been forced to leave them behind, unable to get a message through to his cherished young Flybots. But he had Fireflight with him at the base now, and through him Wheeljack knew the others were alright, that they were alive somewhere and on their way to Earth. Wheeljack just could not quell his deep worry for them until they were all safe at the base with him again, a fact Jared could easily feel and well understood about his father. Wheeljack had a Spark that overflowed with love and compassion for his Sparklings, whether he adopted them or they were born of his own Spark, something many of the other Autobots were well aware of, given what happened to him early in the war. The Aerialbots knew of the six little ones Wheeljack had lost and still deeply mourned, feeling as though he had failed them, that they died because he couldn't protect them from the marauding Decepticons. But other than what little they had learned from the base data banks on Cybertron of what happened, they never heard their father talk about those lost ones, though they sometimes saw him off by himself looking like he was upset, but whenever they questioned him, he would give them a smile and say he was alright, then promptly distract himself and them from it with some lesson or another. And at night when he settled in with them for recharge, he would often lay awake, staring at the ceiling praying silently for the ones who had died, sometimes even crying for them quietly, trying very hard not to disturb his sleeping youngsters. He knew they had worried for him, but at the time, it was simply far too painful for him to talk to them about it. Now that he had told Jared and that Fireflight was on Earth, Wheeljack hoped the other four would find their way to him soon, and then he would tell them, all of them, what had happened to him through connecting a cyber tendril to Superion and showing them all through their great Gestalt brother the terrible burdens of agony he had carried for so long but could never speak of. For now Wheeljack shook it off, trying to let himself feel Fireflight's apparent excitement, yet again wishing he shared a creation bond with the Aerialbots like he did with Jared, though he offered his ten year old son a smile, trying to stay cheerful for the sake of the Sparklings he so dearly loved, the ones that were still alive.

Jared glanced up with curiosity as his father's holoform flickered. He then grinned as an explanation was given. So his older brother, or one of them for now, had found something? "Sounds fun." He agreed happily, jumping up to sit on his father's hand, peeking over briefly to watch the holoform flicker and disappear. That always fascinated him, and it never got old. Maybe he was actually a holoform, but he didn't know how to deactivate it yet. What sort of being was underneath his human shell? He could only wonder for now.
He felt the wave of various emotions from his father, and he sent back reassurance as he caught the smile on Wheeljack's faceplate. He knew full well that the Autobot Scientist still cared deeply for his lost Sparklings, and still worried for the safety of his six current ones. Seven, now that he had come into the picture. This was a very large family, and it would be nearly impossible for his father to constantly keep watch over all of them. But he could at least try to convince him that they would be alright.

Silverbolt glanced around the area as Fireflight commed their father. It was very peaceful, that was for sure. But it got him thinking. //"Maybe Cybertron was this beautiful before the war."\\ He muttered over the bond. He often found himself thinking into the bond rather than out loud or in his processor. Somehow, it felt more private. Well, as private as having four other mech listening in and voicing their opinions on the thought could be. Still, he was used to it, and he wouldn't trade that bond for anything in the Universe. Briefly he considered hiding until his father came out, to add to the surprise of his arrival, but decided to stay visible in the hanger entrance, knowing his arrival would be surprising enough.

Fireflight was resisting the urge to begin jumping up and down at the return comm from Wheeljack, and Silverbolt's musing over the bond distracted him some. //"I bet it was, but without all the organic parts."\\ He replied, looking for Wheeljack and Jared to appear. He wondered to himself what the reactions all around would be at the reunion, and his excitement and amusement flowed out into the bond with his brothers.

Wheeljack headed up to meet up with his youngest bot, knowing he would likely be bouncing around excitedly in short order if he took too long to get up there with Jared in his arms. He carefully shielded Jared from the glaring sun til his eyes could adjust on their own and he looked around briefly before spotting Fireflight, who was very nearly vibrating with excitement and he started towards the young excitable mech, seeing him standing next to a taller air frame he didn't know yet seemed oddly familiar. But when the other mech turned towards him, the face he saw made him stop in stunned silence for a moment as he stared at the taller mech. "Silverbolt?" he asked hesitantly, slowly setting Jared down by the hangar wall. He then strode forward haltingly for the first few steps, then "SILVERBOLT!" he cried out the tall mech's name and ran straight for him, literally jumping up into his eldest son's arms and holding on for dear life. "I tried to call when the shuttle left... I tried so hard to reach you... all of you... Primus I've missed my Flybots so much!" he cried and buried his face against the taller mech's shoulder. "Fireflight got here n said you all were okay... I've been praying every day you'd all be safe and find your way to me again..." He lifted his head and looked at Silverbolt then. "Where's my other lil Flybots? Where's Slingshot, Skydive, and Air Raid?" he asked, looking over at Fireflight, then back to Silverbolt again, starting to look a little frantic.

As soon as he and his father were outside, Jared barely had the time to send gratitude through the bond for shielding him from the sun before he spotted Fireflight. Cheerfully he waved to the other mech, though at first he didn't recognize the second mech either. It was only when he turned around that his own eyes widened. Was that Silverbolt? He carefully hopped off of his father's hand when it was lowered, a grin forming on his face as he watched his surviving parent race towards his newly arrived brother and practically jumped up to hug him. He heard the taller mech laugh, saw him hold up his father so that he wouldn't fall off. His family was getting bigger, and pretty soon his other brothers would make planetfall as well.

Silverbolt couldn't help but laugh as his adopted father jumped up into his arms. He held onto the smaller mech so that he wouldn't fall, since he himself was a great deal taller. He listened quietly as Wheeljack explained what had happened, and what he'd tried to do. "We understand, father. Fireflight explained earlier, and it's been sent through the bond." He assured the Autobot Scientist with a smile. Another chuckle escaped his vocal processor as his three remaining brothers were mentioned. "They're fine, father. Last I heard, Skydive and Slingshot had managed to meet up, and Air Raid was well too. They're all on their way." He replied, having not felt anything pain wise over the bond, so assuming they were all okay.

Fireflight giggled and waved at Jared when he saw his younger brother wave, then laughed when Wheeljack jumped on Silverbolt to hug him. "Surprise!" He cheered, all but bouncing all over the base with excitement and happiness, unable to contain his joy that their family was that much closer to being whole again. "They'll be okay. You taught us how to take care of ourselves, after all!"
