Addendum:
Do note that Transformers do not use the terms "Parents", "Father", "Dad", "Daddy", "Mother", "Mom", "Mommy", etc to refer to Transformers who have Spawned offspring. Transformer "Parents" are actually referred to as "Progenitors" and their young are "Podlings" (while inside the pod), "Hatchlings" (for the first Ano-Cycle after emerging from the pod), "Sparklings" (young Transformers not yet capable of transforming), or "Mechlings" (during their juvenile stage). Progenitors are also called "Alpha" (the dominant or stronger of the pair) and "Beta" (usually smaller than the "Alpha"). Usually it is the "Beta" who carries while the "Alpha" instinctively becomes more aggressively protective of their "Bond Mate", who can not Transform while still carrying the developing pod. It is for this reason that the "Beta" of the pair is often also also called "Carrier", though in the case of Spark Twinning, the "Alpha" can also carry.
In cases of "Forced Spawning", there is only one "Progenitor", the "Alpha", who is also the "Carrier" of the new Sparkling. Also note that the "Progenitors" often refer to their offspring as their "Sparkling", regardless of the young Mech's age, in much the same way human parents refer to their own offspring as their children, even when their children are grown adults.
