RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: Permanent (upgraded)
Name: Landmine
Nickname: None…yet.
Gender Identity: Mech
Approximate Age: Equivalent to a 28-year-old human.
Alliance: Autobot
Function/Job: Explosives Ordinance Disposal/”Bomb Squad”
Height: 28 Feet
Approximate Mass: 19 Metric Tons
Type of Cybertronian: Normal Cybertronian
Personality: Landmine is somewhat of an easy-going mech. Smiles are normally what he wears, and his motto is “fake it to make it.” When asked about it, he’ll state that by simple acting happy or cheerful, you can usually trick your mind into believing you’re happy, then you actually are happy. In regards to this, the more stressed he is, the happier he appears to become, most of the time.
Because of the high levels of stress his job can demand, Landmine takes every opportunity to unwind that he can grab and uses it. Still, when he’s not diffusing explosives, either those that belonged to Decepticons or Autobots, he’ll pull his fair share of work to help out however he can. In that regards, he really can’t be called lazy.
Despite his immense, and often intimidating, size and appearance (he’s not the most handsome of mechs), he has a truly kind and caring Spark. He would give everything he had just to keep another safe, and would even be the first to throw himself on an explosive to save a life.
A joke of his, which sometimes can also be considered very serious, is the old saying of “I’m a bomb technician. If you see me running, you’d better be running faster than me.”
Appearance: Landmine is a massive mech. His armor makes up the majority of his bulk. Without it, he’d be closer to average-sized, though his armor is not designed to come off easily. The panels overlap, so that there are less gaps that rounds and shrapnel can penetrate through. Normally, his faceplates are uncovered, but when he is working a heavy mask slides into place in front of his entire helm. The only area open to severe damage is his optics, as he needs to be able to see, but the openings are simply wide slits. His optics are dark green in color.
Instead of two arms, like most Cybertronians seem to have, Landmine has four. The lower set is slightly smaller than the main set, but he can use all of them equally. Oftentimes, he will keep the secondary set tucked in while he is performing simple tasks. Their main use is during defusing, because sometimes you really need an extra set of hands.
His legs are also thicker than normal, and not simply because of his armor. The underlying structure has been bulked up, so that his legs can carry his massive weight. His feet are similar to Ironhide’s in the way that they distribute his weight on the ground, though he still leaves very noticeable footprints.

Holoform/Human Form: Landmine’s holoform is not immensely bulky like his real form is. Instead, he’s average-sized, for a human, and just sturdily built. His size does not show the power contained in his smaller form. His hair is a light blonde color, and his eyes are a dark green like his optics. While wearing his human guise, his second set of arms simply fold across his chest, though he uses them like normal when the guise is dropped. His typical clothing includes pants with a desert-camo print, a dark brown t-shirt, lightly tinted sunglasses, and military desert boots. His skin is tanned a decent amount, though when his shirt is removed, a tan line is evident, as his “natural” skin tone is a lot lighter. There is also a lighter tan line around his eyes where his sunglasses rest, though the skin underneath is still a bit darker than his “natural” tone. His holoform’s name is Leon.
Weapons: His immense size, machine gun, large mace.
Abilities: None.
Strengths: Landmine is very heavily-armored mech, which allows him to take damage a lot better than most others. Supposedly, it can exponentially increase his chances of surviving the detonation of most small to medium bombs, but he had not tried to test that theory on some of the larger bombs.
Weaknesses: Because of his immense weight, Landmine is very slow and cumbersome. Commonly, to move just a bit faster, he has to drop onto all six limbs to run, which leads to him having a higher need for joint repairs, as his weight is quick to wear down on his joints.
Family: Creators: currently unnamed. Siblings: A lot. Zero is his oldest sister.
History: Landmine is one of a number of bots spawned from one creator pair. The oldest of them was Absolute Zero, who was often taking care of them. His original job was construction and demolitions, helping bring down old buildings and put new ones up. It was a life of hard labor, and he couldn’t have asked for more.
When the war began, everything changed for him. Originally, he didn’t want to get involved, and so began making plans to leave Cybertron with some of the other Neutrals. That was before he began seeing the destruction that was being caused by explosives that had once been used to help people. What he decided was that the Autobots did not need a demolitions expert. Instead, they needed counter-measures. He used what he knew about setting up explosives, and began applying that to the defusing process. As time progressed, he got modifications to his frame for more armor, and even bulked up his base frame to support that armor. Through trial and error, he learned how to defuse other explosives, and found that many traits could be applied to larger explosives. Still, he’s had his fair share of close-calls, near-misses, and almost-death. The med bay is practically his second home.
With the war shifting to Earth, Landmine has packed up and set a course for the blue planet. Hearing about the smaller inhabitants getting caught in the war has only made him pick up speed, his goal to do everything he can to protect not only his comrades, but their new human allies as well.
