[Wildrider]

((20 August 2027, 1342 HLT))

The noontime rush was slowing down as a black and red Ferrari slowly woke up, music blaring through its radio sound system. He'd passed out in a parking garage, the need for recharge after so long without it as he'd traveled through the quiet of space forcing him to do so in the dark morning hours of this same day. He'd found an alt mode and immediately found a spot to recharge.

Now, Wildrider wanted to stretch out a bit before going out into the city to maybe have some fun, and, of course, make his way to base. His alt mode's form cracked and shifted as he started to transform, then grinding gears and sharp pain halted his transformation. ~"Huh?"~ He reversed the process, then attempted once more, and was met with the same result. A message on his HUD confirmed what he was slowly figuring out. His transformation sequence was broken, and he would remain stuck in his alternate mode until he found a medic who could fix it.

A spot of panic bubbled up, but that was replaced by excitement when he heard the blaring of car horns outside the parking garage. Car horns meant that there were cars, and that meant there were things to destroy. "Wooooo-hoooooo!!!!!!!" He hollered with glee, and sped out of the structure he'd recharged in, slamming into any cars in his path, his strong armor and force field protecting his frame against significant damage. This was proven further when he appeared suddenly in the path of a semi. The actual force of the impact made him roll once before landing back on his tires, but he had nt so much as a scratch on his paint job.

A ways away an older teen girl leaned back with a contented sigh, settling into the driver's seat of the Mini Cooper she was riding in once more. She was mostly sitting in that seat to keep up appearances since her current companion had no holoform, she was not the driver this time. Though she didn't mind the relaxing drive and she knew it would be easier on her friend. Besides, the real excitement was going to be in where they were going. "You gotta admit, dude, this is nice. Vegas baby! Few months ago I had to wonder if I'd ever get to go to Vegas, now..." She grinned a bit. She was loving this, the freedom to go where she wanted and the resources to get there. Sure, she could have hopped trains and hitchhiked her way there but not this time. It was nice to relax during the travel portion once in a while and this way she got to spend some time with her best friend too. "I've wanted to be able to travel like this ever since I was a little girl you know, just never really had the ability to. Now I might as well make the most of it, right?"

Making the most of it was definitely something she intended to do, and on this occasion she wasn't just planning to see the sights. Some of the activities she had planned may be a bit on the illegal side, though not too bad, at least not in her opinion. Of course, she hadn't told anyone that bit when she left for the road trip, nor had she filled her friend in on her exact plans. She knew if the Autobots knew the details she would not have been allowed the trip, chaperoned or not, but Las Vegas was a tourist attraction, there were plenty of legal activities to partake in so it wouldn't be all that suspicious since she had actually asked before taking off this time. Plus she knew her friend wouldn't rat her out. It was all rather well thought out this time.

The sounds of chaos, panic, and destruction up ahead caught her attention and she sat up in the seat to get a better look. "Dude, I haven't even made it over there yet, what gives?" She cringes slightly as she saw a Ferrari get slammed by a semi but when the small car drove off afterwards with no damage she had to wonder. "Something isn't right... Let's go check it out, they may need help!" she said, pointing towards the mayhem. She then checked her pocket, making sure her revolver was there just in case she should need it.

The chameleon painted Mini Cooper listened to his best friend as they cruised down the road, though wasn't exactly sure how to respond. In all truth they were not the best with social interactions, no matter how close they may be to the person. But there was also the fact that they couldn't completely identify with her on this front. They'd spent their entire life traveling aimlessly until they had come to Earth, they didn't see what she could find so appealing about travel. Then again, she was traveling to get someplace, they had traveled to stay away from someplace, perhaps it was the goal that was the key. Though they had to admit one thing, it was nice to spend this time with their friend, especially since this time they knew where she was unlike last time she decided to go off someplace and had them worried.

They were snapped out of their thoughts as a wave of sensation passed over them from their danger sense, indicating a threat up ahead. Not much later the commotion started and a jolt of panic went through their frame. They got ready to change course when the girl spoke, urging them to hurry up ahead. They would have protested but she had a point, they may need help and they had come to Earth to help after all. With a slight nervous groan they sped up a bit heading directly towards the scene. "Shouldn't we, you know, call for backup or something? Let someone more experienced handle it?" It shouldn't have come as much of a surprise to them that the girl had a response to that. "And who says they'd even get here in time. Besides, between the two of us I'm sure we can handle it, whatever it is." With a nervous and defeated sigh they continued to speed forward, hoping their friend knew what she was doing, because they certainly didn't.

Wildrider took the corner as quickly as he could, slamming into other cars that were in his path. A signal caught his quite scattered attention, making him swerve and turn around. "AUTOBOT!!!! YEAH!!!!" He hollered, blaring his horn and charging forward, intending to ram the Autobot. He wasn't worried about the size of the Autobot. His shielding was meant to take just about anything. "Let's play some CHICKEN!"

It didn't take long to determine that the Ferrari was the source of the chaos as they got closer. "Alright, step one of my entirely improvised plan: Lure that guy away from the heavily populated area. Step two: Come up with step three. But let's focus on step one right now." The girl reached forward and patted the dashboard reassuringly with a smile, taking her eyes off the road for a moment as she spoke to her friend encouragingly. "Just get his attention, you can dodge better than anyone else I've ever met so we should be- WOAH!" Her eyes widened in shock as she saw the car in question heading straight for them proclaiming a game of chicken. "He's about as crazy as I am! Well we got his attention, dude! Just roll with it and lead him away from here where he won't hurt anyone! Just keep baiting him! In fact... You know that song 'Catch Me If You Can' by Runblebee? Blast it!"

The Mini Cooper let out a slight nervous whimper. Every ounce of instinct in their frame was screaming at them to get away unnoticed and avoid the confrontation all together. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?" It was near impossible to tell with the girl half the time, she just seemed to make things up as she went. But there was one undeniable fact about her methods, more often than not they worked. They swerved out of the way as the Ferrari came at them and started heading away from the main part of the city, blasting the song their friend had requested. "Are you sure we shouldn't call for help?"

Wildrider skidded sideways as he tried to turn when the Mini Cooper he was trying to ram suddenly swerved, slamming into an unoccupied parked car. He shook on his wheels a bit, like he was trying to shake his head, then gunned his engine to give chase. "Hah! Trying to run away? I don't think so!" The thought of using his weapons didn't cross his processor at the moment. He was too interested in being able to physically ram the smaller vehicle. The song did catch his attention, but not in the way one might expect. "Alright! Music!" He cackled with glee, speeding up to keep on the Mini's tail.

The girl grinned at her friend's question. "No way, dude! We can handle this, it's two against one and this suckers already falling into our trap!" She then lowered her voice, muttering to herself. "A trap I'm still trying to figure out the details but still, it's working so far..." She looked back at the assailing vehicle, hearing his shouts loud and clear. "Well I'll be damned, he likes music!" she said with a light laugh. Yeah, maybe that part didn't do exactly what she'd wanted but he was still coming after them. "Just a bit further and we should be good for step three, as soon as I finish with step two..."

"You haven't figured out step three yet?!" The Autobot groaned a bit, panic rising in them. "You have no idea what you're doing do you? Oh Primus, we're gonna die..." They swerved as the Decepticon got close to ensure that he wouldn't hit them. Part of them was really starting to consider calling for backup anyway but they stopped themself from doing so. It wasn't just that their friend had said not to, they were her companion on this trip. It was their responsibility to watch after her and keep her safe and they didn't want to fail in that responsibility, especially after having legally adopted her in the first place. They needed to prove to themself more than anyone that they could handle it.

Wildrider growled in frustration as the Mini in front of him swerved when he got close. "C'mon, you feisty little speed bump. Can't you put up more of a fight?" As though to make his point, he revved his engine to push forward, trying to bump Arc's rear bumper, and maybe even make them spin out. He had not picked up that the shape in the driver's seat was a human, not a holoform.

"Thinking thinking thinking thinking..." the girl muttered to herself, watching the Ferrari carefully through the mirrors. "Wait a minute..." She turned around in the seat and looked through the back window to get a better view. The way he was driving, so recklessly, so aggressively, it was... hell on those tires! A grin spread across her face as she turned around again, reaching into the pocket she kept her revolver in. "I've got it! I need you to roll down the window here, just trust me on this, and when I say so swerve to the right." She unfastened the seat belt as she pulled the gun out of her pocket, turning around again and watching the Decepticon carefully. "NOW!" As soon as she'd shouted it she pulled herself up to sit in the window, leaning out of it and staring the assailing vehicle down as she trained the gun on him with a smirk. "YOU WANTED A FIGHT, BITCH!" she shouted at their pursuer before firing a couple well aimed shots at his front tires.

The Mini Cooper sped up as the Decepticon started closing in to keep ahead of him, though they weren't sure how long they could keep it up. {"Now would be a great time for her to think of something..."} they thought desperately. No sooner had the thought passed than she exclaimed that she had an idea. What exactly she was planning wasn't specified but something was better than nothing at this point. They followed her instructions precisely and could have sworn they felt their spark jump in panic as she ended up sitting in the window with most of her body outside and then proceeded to accept the challenge of a fight. "What are you doing?!" They couldn't help but flinch slightly at each shot fired. She had to be crazy, that was the only explanation. Why she thought provoking him further was a good idea was far beyond them. But what scared them more than the now seemingly imminent fight was the thought that they may lose her in it. She was their best friend, her mere presence was a comfort to them. She was their closest companion after a life lived in isolation, they couldn't stand to lose her. Of course, they would never tell her just how much they worried about her and her habits, but that concern was there, it always would be.

Had he been in his robot mode, Wildrider would have smirked when Jasmin stuck her head out the window and yelled what, to him, sounded like an acceptance of his earlier shouting. He caught the sound of shooting just before both of his front tires completely shredded, followed several seconds later by his rear tires. Sparks flew as the rims screeched across the pavement until Wildrider came to a complete stop. There was silence from the Ferrari for a moment, then he erupted into laughter. "That was awesome!" He laughed, somewhat surprised to have been taken out like that. He attempted transformation again, and was greeted with the same grinding gears that made him yelp and quickly reverse the process. "Oops...Forgot about that..."

Jasmin grinned as all four tires blew out and the Ferrari came to a stop and then blew across the end of her gun. "Game over..." She looked over her shoulder at the dashboard. There wasn't much point to it but it seemed the most natural way to indicate that she was addressing her friend. "He seems to be taken out, lets go make sure he won't be causing anymore trouble." She twisted around to sit in the window facing forward as her friend turned around, switching her gun to her left hand as she did so. She wasn't as good a shot with her left but it was better to have the weapon ready just in case. Once they had stopped in front of the Decepticon she swung her legs out the window and hopped down to the ground, switching the gun back to her right hand and using the now free left hand to brush her hair out of her face since it had gotten a bit messy during that little stunt of hers as she approached the vehicle which had, for whatever reason, not transformed yet. "Alright you, first question: Why? What could you possibly have to gain from that mess?"

The Mini Cooper vented a sigh of relief as the offending vehicle came to a stop. {"Good, now we can get out of here and-"} They didn't even get to finish the thought when their passenger said to turn around and actually go back to the Decepticon. As much as they wanted to tell her no she, once again, had a point. They hated to admit it but it would be best to make sure the Decepticon wouldn't cause any more harm. They regrettably turned around and headed back to where the Decepticon was nervously. They could still feel a sense of danger from him and would much rather be putting distance between them than getting closer. They cautiously rolled to a stop a ways in front of him and then felt their friend exit via the window, their spark nearly skipping a beat as she approached him and questioned him. "Um... that might not be the best idea..." they said almost pleadingly, worried for what the Decepticon might do to her and transforming in the hopes that they would be able to protect her better in their bot form.
