RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: Permanent
Name: Scalewing
Nickname: Scaley
Gender Identity: Mech
Approximate Age: Equivalent to a 7-year-old human
Alliance: Decepticons, former Autobot
Function/Job: Assistant Medic
Height: 4 feet at the shoulders, approximately 6 feet to the top of his helm, horns excluded.
Approximate Mass: 450 lbs
Type of Cybertronian: Symbiote
Personality: Scalewing is very child-like in nature. He is naturally inquisitive and curious, which can sometimes get him in trouble. He will investigate anything that catches his attention, no matter what it is. This is usually done with some sniffing and licking.
Under normal circumstances, Scalewing is very, very friendly. Factions, for the most part, mean nothing to him. He will be as friendly to an Autobot as he would be to another Decepticon. At least, that is the usual initial response. Due to the fact that he is a Decepticon, it is not uncommon for him to be attacked or regarded with some suspicion simply because of that. He will remain pleasant until attacked, after which he will respond violently and aggressively, biting and clawing if grabbed. If he is not grabbed, he will attempt to get his claws into armor gaps and slash at the interior cables, wires, and tubing.
There is currently only one known way to completely enrage Scalewing, and that is to attack, or even threaten, Code Blue. He will viciously attack the offender until the offender is down, he is unable to continue the attack, or Code Blue orders him to stop. So far, Scalewing has never truly attacked in this manner.
Appearance: Scalewing Pic
Alt Mode: N/A
Holoform/Human Form: N/A
Weapons: Teeth, tail, and claws.
Abilities: Being disgustingly cute.
Strengths: Scalewing’s armor overlaps and pieces together in a way to allow him as much flexibility as possible. This allows him more ability to wiggle into smaller hiding spots, and to twist away from attacks and such.
Weaknesses: Scalewing is only a bit larger than a large horse. This small size, compared to the majority of Cybertronians, makes him prone to taking more damage from attacks, especially melee ones.
Family: Creator; Code Blue
History: Scalewing was created in the early days of the war to be an assistant to Code Blue in her work. While she was in the process of evacuating patients from the battlefield, Scalewing would stabilize them, if needed, going from the worst cases on down the line, and begin the smaller repairs. From the bond that was shared between them, Scalewing knew that Code Blue had a family, but never met them or asked questions about them.
When Code Blue was tried and punished for, according to the Autobots, the misuse of her medical skills on various patients, Scalewing refused any talk or offers to leave her to become a symbiote to another. Instead, he chose to remain with her for the duration of her punishment, and undergo the same treatment. The next few thousand years or so were spent in stasis.
Coming back online started slow, then snapped forward due to an echoing wave of pain. Scalewing didn’t know what was causing it, but he did know that it was coming from Code Blue. Not long after, a jailbreak occurred, allowing Code Blue and Scalewing to escape. Through speaking with various other bots, and catching pieces of conversations, the two of them were able to gain a basic understanding of what had happened while they were in stasis. They also were able to figure out where most of the action was, and they headed to Earth.
Additional Info: Scalewing’s vocal units and language center are unable to allow Scalewing to produce actual words, so he speaks using body language and a series of sounds. Over a comm link, a monotone, computer voice speaks in a broken version of the language being used.
