Rper: Catalyst Spark
Character type: permanent
Name: Bob Verge
Nicknames: Guardian 452
Gender Identity: Male
Approx age: Pre-war (was a sparkling when the war began) Pretender form looks and acts, around 28
Alliance: Autobot
Function/Job: Security (Both base and, on some levels, planetary)
Height: 5’7”
Approx mass: 230 (due to dense materials in his frame)
Cybertronian type: Pretender
Personality: Bob is impulsive, doesn’t plan much of anything through all the way and likes to fly by the seat of his pants half the time. Yet somehow, due to skill, impressive ability to think on the fly, luck, or an insane combination of the three, what he pulls normally works, or it completely blows up in his face but he prefers not to dwell on those instances. Bob tends to get embarrassed somewhat easily, depending on the situation you may even get him to stutter. Do be careful if he tries to give you the kicked puppy look however, those brown eyes do make for very effective puppy eyes to get what he wants.
He does tend to be a pretty easy going guy most of the time, enjoying the moments where he can take it easy, talk with a friend while having a milk shake, try to work on his car or just mess around with those he’s close to. He has a pretty good sense of humor and is quick of wit, most of the time at least though you can catch him off guard from time to time, especially if he’s just waking up. Bob is a bit self sacrificial however, if there is no better option he will put himself in harm’s way to protect others. He also respects life deeply, no matter what race, or faction someone is, he believes there’s at least some good in everyone and would much rather bring that good to the surface and avoid killing them. Sadly, sometimes, he doesn’t have a choice in the matter.
Appearance:
Alt mode: N/A
Holoform: see above
Weapons: Glitch (key tool symbiote)
Abilities: Immunity to being hacked, viruses, forced system control overrides and forcible data extraction.
Glitch’s abilities: Energy constructed items of whatever shape and type Glitch or Bob can come up with, energy shields, remote operation of non-sentient systems and vehicles, able to connect either by port or wirelessly and transfer/copy data from any type of system so long as said system is not too strongly password protected or encrypted. Long range sensors are also one of Glitch’s abilities, these sensors can pick up information from even farther due to monitoring stations that have been set up throughout the globe.
Strengths: He tends to have at least SOME good luck. He’s also pretty good at making things up as he goes along, changing his tactics (if you wish to call it that) as the situation changes. He holds a very strong respect for life and, if he can avoid it, will not kill needlessly, even if the opponent is an enemy.
Weaknesses: However, making things up as you go along can backfire, and it can backfire badly. His sense of duty means he will put himself at risk if he feels it is the right thing to do, and has been known to be self sacrificing when a situation calls for it. His inability to transform into his true form is also quite a weakness, this is due to an encounter in the past in which the parts needed for his transformation sequence were literally ripped out, thus far his systems have rejected any attempt to replace it.

Partner/Symbiote: Glitch (Key tool)
History: Bob, along with his partner, Glitch, landed on Earth on Sep. 10th, 1994, following a lead that Earth may be in a bit of trouble soon. As soon as he had landed and acquired a human disguise he began setting up remote monitoring stations, small, discreet devices that networked with each other and Glitch, to monitor incoming Cybertronians and other items from space as well as look for any who may land that were part of his former colony. Once that had been seen to he inserted his own alias’s information into the US records databanks along with falsified school records so he had a legitimate identity in the nation he decided to take up residence in.
Once he had grown accustomed to the human society he decided to become an active part of it, getting employed as a police officer in Augusta, Maine. He stayed with the police force there, still monitoring incoming interplanetary objects until 2007, when some rather large items with Cybertronian signals were picked up by the remote monitoring devices he had set up. He took vacation time from his job to check out the situation, watching from afar via the monitoring stations he had in that area, Upon realizing what was going on and why those Cybertronians were there, he was faced with a choice: Reveal himself to these Cybertronians he had not yet met to try to help fight off the threat to this planet, or return to his human façade as he had been living for a time. Realizing that one group of the Cybertronians were trying to protect Earth as much as he intended to, though from a different threat, and seeing that the protecting group was able to handle the current threat pretty well, he decided there was no reason to out himself yet, however he would keep tabs on what was occurring with the group.
He returned to his human life once more, going back on active duty for the police department though he did use his monitoring station to keep tabs on the Autobot group. Upon getting wind that a human group was formed to help out the Autobots, who had protected the world Bob and Glitch now called home even at the cost of one of their own, he decided, at Glitch’s insistence, that a switch in career path may not be a bad idea. He then joined with the human military, using Glitch’s abilities to find out what was needed to get into this group called NEST to be able to help out with the defense of the planet. After a few years and a lot of effort, he finally managed to get transferred to NEST‘s security team.
He figured that working within NEST would allow him to help the Autobots without revealing that he, himself, was a Cybertronian, so he could continue living his human life for the time while still being able to serve his original purpose for coming to this world, defending it from enemies. However, he had not taken into account the fact that him being Cybertronian in nature meant the other Cybertronians could sense him very easily, the fact had simply slipped his processor. However he was rather quickly reminded of this whenever Charter walked by him and picked up on said Cybertronian signature, at that point the gig was up and Bob explained the situation, including the fact he is unable to transform into his true form anymore and minus the details about the exact threat he had come to Earth to stay a few steps ahead of.
From that point forth Bob and Glitch have been working as part of the Autobot’s base security team, though Bob is not the type to always stay in a stuffy security room however and is quite known for doing field work and, at times, fighting, though he doesn’t like having to fight but he fully understands, this is a war, sometimes you don’t have a choice. He does, however, avoid killing an enemy when he has a choice in the matter. He and Glitch still keep an eye on things on a planetary level as well however, just in case.
Additional information:
He does own a red 1966 convertible Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS Clone, though getting the car to actually run, or even start up for that matter, is an ongoing struggle.
