Rper: Jetta Windstar
Character type: Permanent
Name: Abyss aka The Black Beauty
Nicknames: BB by some
Gender Identity: Female
Approx age: 35
Alliance: Neutral, formerly Autobot
Function/Job: freelance mercenary
Height: 20 feet
Approx mass: 6 metric tons
Cybertronian type: normal Cybertronian
Personality: Abyss is known as the Black Beauty because of her alternate mode. Her real name is Abyss, but some like to call her the Black Beauty, and she has chosen that as her alias as a freelance mercenary…She is innovative, reasonably spontaneous, cold-hearted and vicious. Abyss is not very open with others and does not talk very much, so she’s much like…a female Blackout in a way.
Abyss has a sarcastic side. She also uses many masks to hide her emotions from others, and she often gives the impression of a careless/reckless daredevil, a bitch, or the quiet one.
The reckless daredevil: often seen in battles or when seeking a challenge. She doesn’t like having obstacles she can’t overcome in her way, and will do everything in her power, be it by a maneuver or weaponry to overcome or destroy whatever is in her path. She is randomly reckless in various combat moves, and so this femme attempts to stay unpredictable and change things up.
The bitch: Abyss is all about her role, and money. She tries to keep attachments minimal so those attachments don’t jeopardize future objectives/missions. She also hates working in small groups, even more so with large ones. However, just because she doesn’t like someone, she will still help to get the job done if it’s worth it (if she sees something that would give her an edge in battle or aid her in tools for revenge, future targets, etc). Furthermore, Abyss also has somewhat dark humor. She can be very rude and brash with her words – particularly when on the job, so she often uses it as a tool for intimidation or to keep other Bots from prying into her life too much.
When she’s not occupied with something, she’s a tad bit relaxed and a little more talkative until one starts pushing her buttons.
Abyss is not afraid to show her former battle scars. She stands at about 18 feet and is very lean, her build athletic and flexible like a robotic ninja. She has spent enough time on Earth to incorporate several of the human martial arts into her combat knowledge, and she isn’t afraid to use her figure to be intimidating – or occasionally sexy. She often has a cold, serious look about her similar to most Decepticons, but occasionally you’ll see a wild, reckless look about her, and that usually signals red flags to the enemy. All though flexible, she is susceptible to more damage than bulkier Decepticons, but not only can she give hard hits, she can take them fairly well, too.

ALTERNATE MODE WEAPONRY
BOT FORM WEAPONRY
Abilities: Her main abilities are focused around her fighting style and alternate mode; her fighting style has been modified over the recent years due to how much time she has spent on Earth. As soon as Abyss arrived on earth, she stumbled across the Black Beauty while scanning for Energon sources and exploring the new world. Her alternate mode was chosen due to the amount of weaponry it could hold as well as its tough armor (it’s not quite like KITTs, but it's good).
Her other main ability is slightly accelerated/increased efficiency damage repair – the nano repair bots move at a slightly faster pace than they do for some Cybertronians because of the beatings she took on in and out of battle when she was younger. This is not like KITT and KARR’s fast healing abilities, but it holds the same concept. This only means she can take a better beating than most femmes around her size.
Strengths: Close-ranged combat is her primary battle strength, though she’s got great aim when it comes to her two laser pistols.
When it comes to personality, Abyss is very hard to break. Her unwillingness to get too close to other beings allows her to move freely on Earth with no one to order her around. However, there are downsides to her ways…Every once in a while when she finds someone worth connecting with, they will see sides of Abyss no one else has ever seen. The malicious, devious veil she always covers herself in is pulled down and a very loyal fighter and companion is discovered.
Weaknesses: Abyss heavily detests and scrutinizes the concept of change, unfortunately, and she does not like accepting external change either– but, due to her tough shell and strong emotional barriers, she is able to adapt quickly in a calculating manner- which is a good thing, but her weaknesses seem to outweigh her strengths. All though great at her profession, Abyss is often lonely and an independent soldier. She is not a good team player and does not like making too many friends in fear of being manipulated and taken advantage of. She refuses to do dirty work with most Decepticons now and would rather go on a hunt than side with them, even temporarily. This makes her a very antisocial, bitchy, misunderstood, and neutral Cybertronian!
Another weakness is money, Abyss will do anything for just about any sum of money, even if the causes/people involved manage to put her into a dilemma or trap later on.
Family: Abyss has a sister, but she does not speak of her
History:
Abysslikes to see herself as the stronger one between her and her younger sister Nightrush Before Nightrush was taken in by their drunk ‘parents’ around the equivalent of age 8, Abyss was taken into a different family, separated from her completely, though the bond lasted even though they forgot it was strong. Abyss didn’t receive much better treatment from her own parents, and it didn’t help she felt strange surges of pain from someone other than her own self at random times, even when they weren’t fighting or training. Her parents were rough, they had high expectations and while they still drank, they tried to teach her all she knew. She hated them to extreme bitter levels up until she was the equivalent of a young teen and killed them when accidentally going berserk under extreme stress. Abyss's “record” started at that point, when she proved that she wasn’t afraid to kill. But too much pressure had made her snap, which in the end caused her to abandon the Autobots and become a refugee.
This was where her career started. Abyss decided that killing was good if and only if it had a solid purpose and benefit to others. Originally, she had orders from Optimus to spy on the Decepticons at the beginning of the war. But when she was caught red-handed, she decided to kill most of those in her way to prove that she refused to be reprogrammed. She ran low for a while once the war started, but was eventually caught again, and forcefully reprogrammed by the Decepticons. She nearly lost a right leg in the process and damaged her left optics from two different hits once on the ground. Instead of turning red, the optics turned a bright white, and they glow green when her visor is down due to the lenses. The scar remains, partly hidden under the paint, and her left face place has a nice line of old dent marks on it from the impact, though now it is a little more straightened out. While her scars and dents may not be as bad as some, the collection she has now shows that she has survived a lot, and intends to prevail.
When the Decepticons asked her to assist them in future battles, she would rebel and try to keep anyone in her way alive as long as possible unless they became a real threat to her. As she grew closer to her full height, she didn’t have much to lose. Most times though, she was used for spy work, where she was more of immediate use to either faction. She frequently double-crossed either side once the Great War got under way, but she managed to live, even if when she received damage.
Once spying failed and things got rough, she doesn’t hesitate to kill to get out of a situation.
Now that both factions are most interested in Earth however, Abyss is more or less a neutral party, spying where she wishes, and working for whoever needs her, even among the humans. She has survived a lot of beatings, even some from Megatron and Starscream when they tried to capture her and convert her. She has tried to prove herself worthy to her race on more than one occasion and seems to have an odd interest in Megatron, but doesn’t dare show it. Of course having long since forgotten Optimus’s orders, she has forgotten to try and make peace with the Autobots to see if they need any assistance now that new things have stirred up on Earth.
For now, Abyss remains solo, getting to know the race that lives on this delicate planet that is Earth rather than focus on what she is trained for – well, someone. Instead, she uses her holo-form to help the humans in various assassinations and crimes around the globe, occasionally trying to ‘set things right’ on her own terms where opportunity strikes. She doesn’t care about the human currency of course, so the only thing in it for her is glory and chances to learn new things. This femme found the Black Beauty at a comic con with in the first week she arrived at Earth, as it was very comfortable for all the weapons that she has obtained over the years, by theft or purchase.
Lastly, Abyss has started snooping around California and Nevada, investigating some of the activities and technological endeavors that have spurred up there. She is studying the POE from afar, and is currently working with her ‘human associates’ who disapprove of the POE to learn more about their motives to find out just how dangerous they really are. All though she doesn’t care for either faction, Abyss has the same priority as any other Cybertronian: to survive.
