Silverbolt snarled in response to Vortex's threat, but he couldn't help but admire Fireflight's determination, even in the presence of someone as malicious as the Combaticon Interrogator. He just hoped his youngest brother would be able to handle himself whilst he got himself out of this sticky - quite literally - mess. The missile impact did help him a fair bit, though, giving him somewhere to put his foot as he heaved himself to try and break the glue. It might have kept a smaller 'Bot down, but it was obviously not designed for the 40ft Silverbolt, and eventually he broke free and got to his feet, towering over Vortex with a less than happy expression. Not only had he attacked him, but he had threatened his brother. That, in his optics, was an act of war.

Fireflight circled around again, diving towards the ground and transforming so that he could land by Silverbolt, determination shining in his optics and flowing freely over the bond. //"Are you alright, 'Bolt?"\\ He inquired over the bond, looking up at his eldest brother as concern flowed into the bond as well as the joy that he was with one of his brothers once more. Despite his normally horrendous attention span, he was quite focused right now on the task at hand, and that was defeating Vortex.

Vortex's grin turned into a scowl when Fireflight landed and Silverbolt pulled himself free of the glue. He'd been hoping to at least incapacitate Silverbolt before the larger jet could get free, or one of his brothers could join the fight in full force. Still, he wasn't about to be deterred quite yet. "Aww....Isn't that cute? The family's all together, except not. What happened to the other three? Couldn't make the trip?"

Silverbolt sent reassurance to his brother as he looked back down at him with a nod. //"I'm fine."\\ He promised, before he turned back to Vortex with a narrowed gaze. His optics narrowed further when the Interrogator mentioned his other brothers. No way in the Pit was he going to say anything about them to this Decepticon. "That's none of your business." He growled. Calmly, his electrostatic rifle formed on his right arm, as a silent warning of what would happen to Vortex if he stuck around. He would make sure that Superion would be able to face him down when all five of them were reunited again. Maybe their giant, sixth brother would squish him into what the humans called a 'pancake'. At least then they'd take one Decepticon combiner out of the war.

Fireflight watched Vortex as well, feeling Silverbolt's anger through the gestalt bond. His photon-displacer formed on his right arm, ready to fight as well. "They'll get here." Fireflight responded, though it was quiet, as though he was saying it more for himself and Silverbolt than for Vortex.

Vortex looked from Silverbolt, to Fireflight, then back to Silverbolt, contemplating his next move before speaking. "It wouldn't be any fun if all of you weren't around to feel it all anyways." He stated with a pout, transforming and taking off, his rotors whirling to give him the lift and speed he needed to fly back in the direction of the Decepticon base.

Satisfied that Vortex hadn't stuck around to bother them further, Silverbolt's electrostatic rifle disappeared once more, and he visibly relaxed, comfortable with the fact that there was no longer a threat to one of his brothers. //"... Thank you for staying."\\ He muttered softly over the bond. He didn't want to think what might have happened if Fireflight had gone to get help and hadn't returned in time. He and Wheeljack might have ended up mourning over his cold, offline chassis. But one thing still bothered him. //"But... What was that you said before? About... Soundwave?"\\ He asked in disbelief. Had he heard correct earlier? Soundwave had bumped into his little brother... but hadn't actually harmed him? After all the stories they'd heard about both the Communications Officer and Megatron himself?

Fireflight grinned up at his older brother, his photon displacer disappearing as well. //"Well, I was getting ready to land, but I wanted to see Earth from in orbit, so I stopped and transformed to look at it, and I didn't notice that Soundwave was behind me, and he grabbed me, but he didn't do anything to hurt me. He just looked through my memories, and Superion kinda showed up, and Soundwave talked with Superion a bit, then he let me go. Silverbolt, I don't think Soundwave is as bad as everyone says he is."\\

Silverbolt couldn't bring himself to believe it. After so many warnings, so many stories, he was here, now, listening to his younger brother saying they weren't necessarily true? But why would Soundwave just leave Fireflight without hurting him? And if the intrusion had been enough to wake the dormant Superion, surely it had been an attempt a harm? Unless... the Communications Officer had lied to both Fireflight and Superion to distract them? Had he done something without either of them realizing? //"Did you tell Father about that? I don't want you hurt if something was missed or remained undetected."\\ He asked, hoping that, if Soundwave had done something, Wheeljack would've been able to pick it up and stop it before it was too late.

Fireflight gave a nod, his grin not faltering. //"I told dad. He checked over my systems and gave me the all-clear."\\ The grin turned into a small frown, one of concern and thought. //"But, I really think Soundwave was telling the truth. He could've killed me easily up there. I was out of reentry mode, so all it would have taken was him throwing me at Earth, with no motor controls or transformation, and I would've died, and all of you and dad would've been hurt really bad. Maybe....Maybe we could just give him a chance? He's got a family too, and he's scared for them..."\\

//"I don't know, Fireflight."\\ Silverbolt sighed, glancing up at the sky as if looking for the offending Decepticon that had found and interrogated his younger brother. Something just didn't seem right about it, and it made him feel nervous. //"I think he'll need to prove himself before we can make any solid decisions."\\ He thought for a few moments. Their father knew about this, as would their brothers when they arrived, but he imagined that no one else did. //"... For now, we should keep this between our family. We don't want to worry anyone else."\\ He suggested, knowing it was unlikely that any of the other Autobots would believe the young Aerialbot, since many of them had probably seen, or indeed experienced, what Soundwave was capable of.

//"At least he can have a chance of proving himself."\\ Fireflight replied with a small sigh of relief. //"And I wasn't planning on telling anyone else. Dad didn't find anything, so it shouldn't be a problem at all."\\ The grin returned, and he took hold of his brother's hand. "C'mon, 'Bolt! Let's head home! Dad's there, and there's someone else as well!"

Silverbolt looked back down at Fireflight and smiled as his hand was taken ahold of, though he frowned slightly in curiosity. Someone else? What did he mean by someone else? It would be good to see his father again, but this mystery person intrigued him. Still, that would be something to find out later. "Alright, let's go." He agreed, glad to have something else to take his processor off of Soundwave. Maybe that was for another time, and maybe he could voice his concerns to his father and get some advice. It wasn't always easy being a Leader after all. Though, since that was true, maybe his father wasn't the one to get advice from... Deciding to think about that, he let go of his brother's hand and transformed, setting off into the air, having received the coordinates for the base from Fireflight some time ago.

"Yippee!" Fireflight cheered, lifting off the round some then transforming, falling in place by his brother, as though there weren't three others missing, and the were flying formation. //"So, what do you think of Earth so far? I think it's really nice, especially since there aren't oodles of Seekers flying around, trying to blast us out of the sky. I haven't even seen Starscream or his trine since I landed."\\

Silverbolt considered this for a moment, glad that Fireflight was distracting him from his fear of heights, even if he didn't realize it. //"It's a very strange planet... The humans here must have so much time on their hands. But yes, it is nice. Some of it is actually quite beautiful, in fact."\\ He mused, glancing back out of habit and expecting to see the rest of his brothers. He was brought back to reality rather quickly when he only saw his youngest brother. They would make it here eventually, he knew. It would just take some time, and a lot of patience. But it did feel empty without them in formation behind him, silently reminding him that they were there.
