Wheeljack smiled at Silverbolt and Fireflight, letting himself be lowered back onto his own two pedes again. He nodded as Silverbolt and Fireflight spoke, knowing the other three would be there soon. "I just worry about all of you. I've missed you so much." he said softly. "Our family has grown a bit though." he told Silverbolt then and turned motioning for Jared to approach. Once the ten year old was close enough, Wheeljack gently picked him up and let Jared sit on his shoulder. "It's a long story how it happened, but, Jared, he's your little brother, my son, true Sparked son. He's ten years old now n only just recently found his way to me. We're all he has now, he needs us." he said then, keeping one hand on Jared to make sure he was steady on his shoulder. He then looked to Jared with a smile. "Silverbolt is the oldest and biggest of your brothers, Jared. Well, except Superion, but you won't be able to meet him until the others arrive." he offered the young boy, hoping that all of them would accept Jared as family and that no jealousies would rear up because Jared shared a creation bond with Wheeljack and the Aerialbots didn't, at least not yet.

Jared smiled, standing up straight and heading over towards his father and the two fliers. He chuckled softly as he was picked up and gently placed on his father's shoulder, listening as 'Jack introduced him. "Hi! It's really nice to meet you." He said, his arms resting on the hand that kept him balanced on the shoulder. As his Dad introduced his eldest brother, the tall mech nodded in greeting with a friendly smile, though there was something of a worried expression that briefly flickered in his bright blue optics, but quickly vanished. He was probably scared of stepping on the young boy. Another emotion then came. Was that sadness? It too disappeared as quickly as it came, but Jared had a feeling he knew why. Wheeljack had said he was his 'true Sparked son'; maybe the Aerialbots wished they had a creation bond as much as their adopted father did.

Silverbolt's optics widened slightly as Jared came into view. Were humans really that tiny? Hopefully they got taller as they got older, but still... //"Primus, they're so small."\\ He commented over the bond to Fireflight. When the small boy was introduced, he couldn't help but smile and nod in greeting. "It's very nice to meet you too, Jared." He replied to the young boy's own greeting. For a moment or two he became worried; he wasn't at all used to watching where he was going. What if he stepped on his newest, and by the looks of things youngest brother? No, he wouldn't. He just had to have faith in himself. The fear was replaced by a sudden sadness. This was their adopted father's true Sparked son. They shared a bond Wheeljack might never have with the Aerialbots, and Silverbolt couldn't help but wish they had that bond too. He hade sure the sadness quickly disappeared, though.

As the introductions occured, Fireflight was finding it harder and harder to contain himself, and that fact would be spilling over into the bond with the others. //"I know! And they don't get much bigger! At least the ones here are used to us, so they know to be careful and try to not get stepped on. Then, it's just up to us to remember to watch where we're going."\\ Fireflight giggled, his wings twitching in amusement and excitement.

Wheeljack's smile faded slightly seeing the faint expressions that flickered across Silverbolt's features. He reached out to his eldest son, laying his free hand on the Aerialbot's forearm. "It's okay, 'Bolt, He knows to be careful around us and stay against the wall out of the way if he's not with me. And I'd be carrying him around to keep him safe when he is with me." he assured Silverbolt, though he suspected there was something else on the big mech's mind. "That's not what's really bothering you, though, is it?" he stated as much as asked, suspecting one possibility and hoping he could find a way to fix the problem... somehow. He loved the Aerialbots dearly, he carried them as new Sparks, he dedicated his own chassis' resources to their developing pods, he tended their pods and watched them grow, he was there when they hatched literally into his arms, he raised them as his own and cherished each one with all his Spark. They had to know that, didn't they? Jared could feel the turmoil and worry in his father, though Wheeljack tried to hide it for the most part.

Silverbolt stood straight, still towering over their father figure, and sighed softly in response, looking away. It was likely that Wheeljack knew what was 'bothering' him, even if it wasn't what he was thinking of at that moment. It bothered him that, despite everything the Scientist had done for both him and all of his brothers, they still didn't share a creation bond. They'd been made from the AllSpark, of course, but Wheeljack had carried them, cared for them, because Primus had wanted him to. So why did things have to be so difficult? But he couldn't pressure his father like that. He wouldn't. If it was possible, then they'd look into it, but if it wasn't, then there was no point making the mech feel guilty about it. "I don't wish to bother you with it, father." He explained quietly.
Jared felt the brief turmoil going on inside his father, and frowned slightly, moving across the mech's shoulder to lean against his neck in a comforting manner, or what he hoped was a comforting manner. He wasn't so much of an expert in cheering people up; he'd never managed to make his mother truly happy, and he'd spent far too long with a healthy distrust of everyone he met. It'd take him a while to work up that trust again, but he knew that he could trust his newly found family. It was huge, after all! And not all of the Aerialbots were even here yet! Jared found himself eager to meet the others, though also a little nervous. What if they didn't like him?

Fireflight calmed down a bit, catching Silverbolt's feelings through the bond, and frowning slightly. Without thinking, he nuzzled up closer to his oldest brother, offering comfort over the bond. //"It's alright, 'Bolt. I'm sure Wheeljack wants the same thing."\\ The red and white jet tried to reassure his brother. It also made him wonder if that would give them and their brothers a connection to Jared, which filled him with a small bit of excitement.

Wheeljack could sense that something was deeply troubling Silverbolt, especially with Fireflight growing quiet and trying to comfort his eldest brother. He gently hugged Jared close and gave Silverbolt's forearm a reassuring squeeze, trying to think of what to say to his much larger sons. He shuttered his optics and vented softly, then looked up at Silverbolt and Fireflight as he sent a thought to Jared over their bond. //"I have to tell them something, Jared, the need to share a bond between your brothers and I is just much too strong and it's hurting all of us."\\
"You don't know how often I laid there trying to recharge wishing I could feel all of you in my Spark, wishing to hear your voices in my thoughts, to know you were all okay. Even when you were still in your little pods I wished my Spark could call out to you and give you comfort. I tried desperately to call out to all of you, hoping you could hear me so you could follow when my shuttle was given the evacuation order. If I had a creation bond with you, then you could have heard me and we would never have been separated like that. Please don't ever think that because I have such a bond with Jared and not with you that I would ever love you any less. I can't, you five are part of me, you are my sons, my hatchlings, my little ones. You are every bit as much a part of me as Jared is. I am your Alpha and will always be. Nothing in this universe will ever change that." he assured his two fliers softly, hoping to give them both some measure of comfort that they in turn could pass on to the others. And in his Spark he hoped the remaining three would come home soon and ease his worried Spark. Above all, he wanted them safe and the only way he knew they would be safe was if they were together and close to him. His Spark ached for them as much as theirs seemed to ache for him, and he knew he had to find some way to forge a bond with them, somehow...

Silverbolt's head tilted down to look at his little brother as Fireflight came and nuzzled up to him, causing his to smile softly and place an arm over his shoulders. To the best of the 40ft Aerialbot's ability, anyway. His attention went back to Wheeljack as he spoke, staying quiet to allow their father figure ample time to get his thoughts and feelings across. A smile broke onto the taller mech's face, and he nodded in understanding. At least the Scientist was there with them, even if they couldn't feel each other the way Wheeljack and Jared could. To just be in their father's presence was enough for Silverbolt.
"We know, father." He assured the other mech with a nod. "And you are as much a part of us as we are of you, no matter what the difficulties. And now Jared is a part of us as well." With that, he looked back at the young boy with a soft chuckle. "I'm sure Fireflight loves the idea of a brother younger than him."

//"There has to be some kind of way to create an artificial one. Or even just a private one that you can all share. I don't want to see any of you hurt like this, with the thought that I can't do anything about it."\\ Jared sighed mentally, leaning back against his father. Whatever happened to the phrase 'the sky was the limit'? Did that only apply to humans? Or could they make it work here too?
Words came out loud from his father, and he remained silent as 'Jack and Silverbolt spoke. It was easy to see how much it pained his entire family that only he and his father shared a creation bond. It wasn't fair; the Aerialbots were here first. Somehow it didn't feel like he had the right for this bond, but it wasn't like he could just give it away. There had to be a way to extend it somehow, add more 'Bots into it. If the AllSpark created them for Wheeljack, why hadn't it thought about that? It was somewhat sentient, right? The comment about Fireflight no longer being the youngest distracted him for a minute, and he laughed slightly. He had a lot of big brothers, to say the least.

"I do!" Fireflight chirped in response to Silverbolt, giggling. //"See? I told you that he wants the same thing."\\ He spoke over the bond. //"I knew that he wanted to have a bond with us. He just doesn't know how to fix it so we do have one together."\\

Wheeljack smiled and vented softly, glad that at least Silverbolt and Fireflight understood and were accepting of their new little brother. Now that Silverbolt had met Jared, and Fireflight having met and gotten to know Jared ten days earlier, Wheeljack hoped that Air Raid, Slingshot, and Skydive would also be so welcoming to Jared. One thing he did pick up on was that if Silverbolt and Fireflight seemed to want a creation bond with him, as expressed by the way his eldest Sparkling responded, then most likely all of them wanted the same thing. He wanted to be sure that the feeling was indeed mutual, however. "Is that what you all want as well? To share a creation bond with me?" he asked, looking from one to the other. If they confirmed it, then he would more than triple his efforts to find a way, somehow, to make that happen for all of them.

Silverbolt debated the answer for a few moments, glancing to Fireflight briefly before turning back. "I still don't believe I can personally speak for all five of my brothers, but as far as I'm aware, it's a desire that is expressed by all of us." He answered with a nod and a small smile. "Were it possible, I think we'd all be extremely grateful for it." There was the problem. They simply didn't know if such a bond could simply be created without having been sparked with it. Nobody had even bothered to experiment with the idea, as far as Silverbolt was aware. But if their father was willing to try it, then he knew that he and his brothers would definitely support the idea.
Jared smiled up as Silverbolt gave his agreement. It was something they all definitely wanted; he could sense it. It was just a matter of figuring out how to create it. Maybe he and his father could work on that project together! It'd give him a sense of pride to bring his new family closer. As much as he cherished the new bond that he had with his father, Jared didn't want anything to set him apart from his brothers. He didn't want to make them feel jealous or anything. So he would help wherever he could. To the best of his ability, at least.

Fireflight nodded rapidly as Silverbolt spoke, chiming in after his brother had finished. "I'm sure dad can figure it out! He's smart. He can do it, I know he can." The red and white jet grinned, looking up at Wheeljack, his optics full of youthful innocence and hope.

Wheeljack's smile turned to a chuckle as Fireflight showed his youthful excitement at the idea, and his faith that their Alpha could do just about anything. "Oh how I have missed all of you..." he offered in response and hugged his two much larger sons the best he could, careful not to knock Jared off his shoulder. "I promise I will do all I can to find a way, somehow... If there is a way, I won't stop until I find it." he assured the pair of them, hoping that promise would be relayed to the others who were yet to arrive. He inwardly prayed to Primus that a way would be revealed to him that would grant him the creation bond they had craved for so long.
