Rper: Jetta Windstar
Character type: Permanent (all my characters are permanent unless I have a specific plot idea or decide to kill them for w/e reason. Because I love them.)
Name: Jack Hurst
Nicknames: none known
Sex/Gender Identity: Male
Age: 50 (my oldest human character ever made >.<)
Alliance: Preservers of Earth
Job: One of the key leaders with the POE, he is one of the active recruiters and overseers of various underground projects that aid their endeavors; NSA agent.
Height: 6.5 feet
Weight: 185 lbs
Personality: Jack can be quite manipulative when he wants to, and when he’s done his research. All though he can be classified as a villain, he often seems like an average one unless he gets carried away in making a chained reaction in his plots. He tends to focus on making the biggest buck possible even if he denies that other non-monetary benefits could sway his mind. When he’s set on something, it’s very difficult to stop him. One main thing Jack doesn’t like is changes in plans which he is not given enough time to prepare for, and he also hates leaving loop holes/loose ends for people to find.
Just because he doesn’t like this doesn’t mean he can’t handle it and adapt, adaptation is one of his strengths – with his manipulative ways comes his ability to change like a chameleon to influence and work with people so he can easily get himself out of a situation later. He will often appear friendly for a while until he decides to take it up a notch, and his ways of doing this change up with each situation that is put in place either by himself or the other POE leaders above him. Being able to carry forward with trying to weave back in his own plans just requires more work and adaptation.
Appearance: Richard Burgi – Appearance in Knight To King’s Pawn **used in history
Jack is a lean fellow. He’s rather good looking despite his age and has very few gray hairs despite the stress he’s endured over the years, though he is beginning to lose some of it. He is fairly graceful with his steps and carries himself quite well.
Picture is from KR08 in Knight to King’s Pawn where he makes some of his key appearances.
Preferred Vehicle:
Black Chevrolet Silverado
Preferred Weapons: guns, really. Anything goes when it comes to guns.
Abilities: He’s human, so he’s not capable of any extraordinary abilities. Except perhaps that he’s an excellent liar and enjoys messing with people from time to time (he’s rather twisted that way).
Strengths:
Jack is very driven and a highly manipulative individual. He can worm his way in and out of an array of situations, and he’s a very good liar and smooth talker. He carries himself well and knows how to pack a punch when needed. He has no connections and nothing to lose so personal interests seldom get in the way of business.
Weaknesses:
Jack has a bit of a temper, and he tends to lose focus when he gets frustrated, or really POed. He’s also very selfish and has a strong sense of ownership of all things belonging to his projects. And more importantly regarding his selfishness, he holds a grudge to the extreme and is very rarely capable of forgiving. Jack is very dark and brutal, he does not care about love and despises mushy gushy stuff. He has no preference to either gender and does not give into romance. This solitary way of his leaves him stubborn and often lonely and a near constant state of denial about the life he’s leading. He just doesn’t care anymore, he’s more interested in whatever his current projects are than his own self.
Family: Parents deceased
History: Back in the early 2000’s, Jacks interests formerly (and still do) lay with the KARR project when he discovered his remnants. He was always serious, always the man with a plan because of his upbringing and personality. He had desired to create a super weapon, but to do so required a driver. It was his way of contributing back to the military after having served with the Army for so long. He had chosen Mike Traceur as the test subject, which happened sometime after the young man started serving in Iraq with the Army Rangers doing classified missions here and there. He was able to complete the KARR project by illegally acquiring some of KITTs data and parts with the help of Torres and some others he’d hired to oversee the process. He stayed out of sight from FLAG, careful to not reveal KARR during the time Mike was with the Rangers. Once Mike quit and was summoned by FLAG, he let the project simmer a while and focused on perfecting KARR, waiting for a good time to snatch Mike back, who was seemingly the only one ‘fit’ to drive KARR, who was everything KITT was not.
Then after 2008, about 2010 and on was the rise of the Preservers of Earth. Jack took interest and turned his attention to the Extreme Deep Invader later on once he got comfortable with the POE, and using his recruiting and manipulation skills, he was able to convince Keith Orbit in resurrecting his prized creation. Thus when he joined the POE he put his interest in KARR behind, letting him rust in peace or be found by the Decepticons.
EDI was one of the many he used to gain a little more power in the POE, he also recruited some other fairly powerful human fighters that would serve the POE well such as the red head Alison Texas.
Jack is also associated with the NSA, though his power in the organization is unknown to most except the higher ups in the POE.
Additional information: he doesn’t like being called old man

RP Sample: ((I'm branching off of what Katt did for Jack in Mission Orders confirmed because its really late in the morning and I wanted to get this up. I may edit this and switch it to something else when I get his image bio done. But for now I'm using regular bios until everyone is posted up))
Back at the hidden Colorado base, the head of Command Control was furious indeed. "DAMNIT! Get that flying piece of crap back here NOW! We can't have it flying around out of our control. It might start killing humans instead of its programmed targets!" the CC Commander yelled at the techs before turning and heading towards a man who was standing off to the side away from everyone else, a severe and dark expression on his face. "If that AI finds out there's two groups of these aliens..." he began, only to stop as the other man held up his hand.
Jack replies calmly, "He will learn that it is because of their civil war which they brought to our planet that humans have been killed, which will validate his command to destroy all of them." If he hadn’t learned that already anyway. "What about what that thing told EDI?" the first man asked. Jack shrugged lightly. "EDI won't listen to them, and that one was lying. These things may pretend to be friendly, but they are only using their civil war to make us chose their side so they can later enslave us once we helped destroy their enemies." His expression remained serious and stern as he gestured towards the monitoring stations. "Reestablish contact with the UCAV and make sure it's following OUR orders." he added and walked away, leaving the other man to only be able to respond with a quiet "Yes Sir." before heading back to talk to the techs again.
EDI was different than KARR, far different. To Jack, he was more child-like, but equally smart and powerful, and deadly as an aerial combatant. He didn’t want EDI getting his directives confused, having EDI abandon his loyalties would ruin his efforts and additionally, he would be a great liability to the POE. {“EDI is a powerful weapon, we can’t afford to have him go astray as he did before. No programming can prevent that, but telling the story right can.”} He thought to himself. EDI was the only non-human fighter/weapon he had taken interest in since joining the POE. Jack had many objectives for EDI to achieve, but it had to be done one Cybertronian at a time, since EDI was the sole aircraft aligned with the POE as of now, and their first. It would only be a matter of time before EDI destroyed one of his targets of choice, and there would be many more to narrow down in the list. KARR was long since a thing of the past, but that didn’t mean FLAG was as well…
