RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: Permanent
Name: Windstorm
Nickname: Wind, Windy
Gender Identity: Femme
Approximate Age: 23 human year equivalent
Alliance: Decepticon
Function/Job: Intelligence Collector
Height: 34 Feet
Approximate Mass: 5.7 Metric Tons
Type of Cybertronian: Normal Cybertronian
Personality: Windstorm is somewhat sane, as far as Decepticons go. She is capable of rational thoughts and careful planning, as well as a level of cunning. Her position as an intelligence collector somewhat demands a level of mental stability, though she is, by no means, the most sane Decepticon there is.
One main aspect of Windstorm’s more unstable side is a constant, never-stopping, playing of “mind games.” Some of Windstorm’s actions seem, to most others, to be completely irrational and without purpose. Windstorm finds playing these “games” to be highly amusing and entertaining. Having come from a low-class family, Windstorm originally learned how to lie to a bot and trick a bot into giving her what she needed. As time passed, she became more fascinated with it. This lead to her entering into the intelligence world.
Appearance: Windstorm stands at approximately 34 feet in height. Her armor is a splotchy mix of different shades of cool grey, and her optics are a dark gold. Her rotors fold behind her, and her legs are plantigrade style.
Viewed in the UV spectrum, or under UV lighting, the color of her armor darkens considerably, save for an intricate pattern of tribal-like designs across her armor, as well as a Decepticon emblem on her chest. The patterns glow an orange-yellow when visible.
Alt Mode:
AH-64 Apache Longbow
Holoform/Human Form: Changes often.
Weapons: Stun gun in robot mode, standard rocket launchers in alt mode.
Abilities: The ability to annoy.
Strengths: Windstorm is skilled in finding the small chinks in mental protection, and picking at them in order to get inside and get the information she’s looking for. When she has free time, she reads up on different forms of psychological warfare to see what has worked well in different situations, and how she can use the tactics.
Weaknesses: Despite being a military aircraft, Windstorm is not suited, physically or mentally, for battle. She has he weaponry to defend herself and get out, but not for a sustained period of time. This tends to make her seem cowardly.
Windstorm is also a bit of a novice when it comes to matching her body language to what she is saying. This makes it easier for someone who can pick up on it to “read” her.
Family: Windshear, mother, unknown; Surge, father, unknown; Quickshear, younger sister, unknown; Stormsurge, older brother, unknown.
History: Windstorm’s family was a part of Cybertronian’s lower class. Her father worked at a factory, and her mother worked as a maid in an upper-class house. Even combined, they could not get enough all the time to feed Windstorm and her siblings. This left the three of them on their own as far as food and entertainment. Stormsurge learned how to pick subspace pockets, allowing him to bring money home for them to use or save away for emergencies. Quickshear, still being very young, was left in charge of the house, taking care of the cleaning, and having food ready for when the rest of the family got home. Windstorm taught herself how to trick more gullable bots into believing she was orphaned and/or crippled, take pity on her, and give her food or money. On a good day, she could bring in enough food for the entire family to feel a little full.
When the war came to their home, the siblings were all at home while their parents were off at work. As the Decepticons advanced through the sector, the three of them split off in their own direction. Windstorm ended up running into the Decepticons. She considered herself old enough, and demanded to be allowed to join the Decepticons. Intelligence was her chosen field, and the training took a long time. Once it was complete, however, she was out in the field, gaining intelligence and experience.
Additional Info: Windstorm is extremely fascinated by the psychological aspects of human culture. She also bears no visible faction symbol, and gives off a Neutral signal. When her armor is viewed in the UV spectrum, however, a faction symbol, as well as intricate markings, become visible.
