RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: PC
Name: Barricade
Nickname: ‘Cade, N.B.E. 4, Meta
Gender Identity: Mech
Approximate Age: 32,000 years
Alliance: Decepticon
Function/Job: Scout, former Combat Controller (unknown to most)
Height: 16 Feet
Approximate Mass: 1.6 Metric Tons
Cybertronian Type: Normal Cybertronian
Personality: Barricade is a somewhat distanced mech. He does not like to have close ties with anyone, possibly a tendency from his past. Where others would spend their recharge in the base, Barricade would rather stay out at a random parking lot, or parking garage, sensors on full-alert. Some of his distance may also stem from his current separation from his partner Frenzy. Since there has been no contact since the incident at the dam, Barricade has assumed that Frenzy is dead.
Barricade also manages to have an interesting sense of humor. He finds ways to make sarcastic jokes in almost any situation, and has no problem cracking jokes about his team mates. He especially loves to crack pervy jokes when there are Autobots around, and the humor capability is there. Prowl is one of his favorite targets for this.
There is something else within Barricade’s processor. Something buried deeply, locked away, and mostly forgotten. It is controlling, and completely uncaring. It will stop at nothing to complete the mission. It comes from a time before Barricade was actually Barricade. There are very few who know the actual identity of this personality, and Barricade would prefer it to stay that way.
Appearance:
Alt Mode: See above picture
Holoform/Human Form: Barricade’s holoform is a shorter male, standing at about 5’5,” with black hair that seems to be in a near permanent stare of dishevelment. His eyes are a deep, ruby red, though they are usually hidden behind red-tinted sunglasses. He wears a standard cop uniform with his police patches being the same one that is on the sides of his alt mode. On his left inner forearm is a tattoo of the “To Punish and Enslave” that is written on his alt mode, and on his inner right forearm is a brand of the Decepticon logo. On his hands are black leather driving gloves.
Weapons: Gyro flail, claws, cannons.
Abilities: Ranged hacking through radio frequencies. Hacking can only be done for movement control, and target must be in visual range.
Strengths: As a former Combat Controller, Barricade has uncanny hacking abilities. He is unable to hack for information, only temporary movement control, and more complicated machines must be done at a closer range. The length of time Barricade can maintain a hack, without interruption, is undetermined.
Weaknesses: Barricade is extremely vulnerable when he is hacking. Specifically, he is vulnerable to being hacked himself, and being attacked. His hacking requires a visual of the target that is being hacked, so removing Barricade’s ability to see will make his hacking completely unusable. Also, using his CC hacking seems to have an odd aftereffect, which leaves Barricade vulnerable to attack.
Family: Creators unknown, presumed dead.
History:
When Barricade first joined the Decepticons, he was put into the Combat Control program, having a somewhat underdeveloped and basic sense of combat tactics. Put in charge off a team of five or so, he would assume full control of every move they made, and every shot they fired. As time went on, his skills were charpened and refined over and over again, and the persona known as “Meta” was born. Meta remained in control until a botched mission removed him from CC to prevent processor damage, and Barricade was brought back out.
With Meta and CC behind him, Barricade began to see with his own optics the combat Meta had only watched from screens, and through the optics of the bots he controlled. Barricade adapted quickly, and managed to become a somewhat successful fighter.
When the All Spark was discovered to be on Earth, Barricade, along with Blackout and Starscream, went to retrieve it. Several times, Barricade clashed with the yellow Autobot known as Bumblebee, one of the last being when Barricade attempted to get the location of the glasses with the coordinates of the All Spark from the human Samuel Witwicky. When the battle in Mission City began, Barricade was last seen following Bonecrusher, though he vanished during Bonecrusher’s fight with Optimus Prime.
His whereabouts, for the most part, remained unknown after that. Occasionally, soldiers at NEST would believe that they’d seen him lurking around the perimeter of the base, but he always managed to be gone when they went to take a closer look. What Barricade is up to now remains to be seen.

The Saleen’s engine hummed in idle at the rest stop, overlooking the highway. It had been sitting there for the better part of the night, off by itself a ways. There had been no officer seen in the rest stop, or in the cruiser, which left people to wonder. Some of the teenagers had, on dares of course, gone to see how close they were willing to get to the strange cruiser. One of them made it all the way to the side of the cruiser before freaking out, and it wasn’t from the “creepiness.” Just behind the front wheel well was, of course, the police symbol for the car. What got him was the logo inside of it. The fight between the Autobots and Decepticons was well-known. His legs could not take him away from the Saleen fast enough. The phrase “To Punish and Enslave” glinted menacingly behind him. With a roar, the engine came fully to life, and unit 643 took off onto the highway, then disappeared into the night.
