"Wait no nothing like that, my father actually had no idea I was created." Rin said, hoping to clear up the misunderstanding. THough she really hoped that was the case and that in time she could come to know her father, but at this rate it would be some time before then. KNowing the autobots they were likely busy and the chances of Sideswipe knowing of her were slim and well her adoptive parents had yet to allow her to go. Quite frankly she was getting antsy and wanted to go, almost tempted to go alone if she had to.
Turning her attention back to Blindspot she only shrugged,"Nothing actually, I was only curious to where the sound was coming from. Echoing like that I'm surprised no one came in earlier." She told him and looked to where he had been damaged, making slight pained look,"Oooh that really looks like it hurt. You sure you'll be okay Blindspot?"She asked.

“It still seems irresponsible. If one submits to any kind of experiment, they should know what they are getting into. Surely he had to know that a creature such as yourself could have been the outcome, especially if the experiment was to further relations with humans. Even if there was the barest chance that his participation would have yielded a viable result, he should have checked.” It seemed the drone was on a tangent. When he spoke next, it was with a hint of bitterness in his raspy voice. “Not all Cybertronians are gifted with sparks healthy enough to create new life. Those that do should treat their giff of virility for what it is--a gift.”
He seemed to run out of steam now. His vocoder had started to crackle a bit at the end, threatening to give out under the strain of his little speech. The drone had the decency to feel a bit sheepish about going off on her like that. “Er,” he amended, after a prolonged, awkward pause, “but that is not your fault, of course.”
When Rin questioned, he rocked on his tires. “It hurts, but it is not serious. I am a medic; I would know.” He seemed a bit eager to change the topic after his rant. “And speaking of medics, how exactly are you getting proper medical care yourself? You seem to be an adolescent.” He gave her a quick scan--there was no visual sign of the activity, but Rin would most likely be able to sense it happening. “You are at an important developmental stage. You should be monitored closely, especially considering your unusual physiology!”

Rin patiently waited, letting Blindspot get his little rant out of his systems and smiled as he seemed to finally catch his breath. Though the sound of his vocalize almost shortening out made her look at him with a bit more concern, though she didn’t inquire the problem since he would likely have it happen again and she didn’t want to come out as rude. “As far as I know I created without those who created me telling my biological father so he wouldn’t have any idea, and if he does he hasn’t a clue where to find me.” She told him and could only shrug, honestly believing Sideswipe really had no idea so she wasn’t angry with him nor did she feel like he abandoned her.
But the teenager looked at Blindspot while crossing her arms,”Yes I’m still developing but by human standards I am close to my adult years. Give about eight more human years and I would be considered fully developed by human standards, however I have no idea how that is by cybertronian means. There isn’t much about my kind.” She explained, and hoped this random decepticon wasn’t really going to hint on watching her twenty four seven; she didn’t need a baby sitter. In her mind it was the last thing she needed

Blindspot relented a little, but he still counted it as another mark against the Autobots. Rin was a mere girl, however, and she shouldn’t have to deal with the brunt of a drone’s frustration with his enemies. She clearly hadn’t had a proper Cybertronian authority figure in her life at all. If she really was some kind of hybrid, some combination of both human and Cybertronian, then she needed both aspects of her ancestry taken care of.
The human part had already been represented.
“Well,” he said, drawing himself as much as he was able in his vehicle form, “then it appears we have not met one another too late. Somebody needs to tell you what it means to be Cybertronian. How much do you know? Do you take any form of Energon supplement? Are you familiar with the term ‘Spark’ at all? Do you know any of the great stories of Cybertron? The music?”
He was already making a mental tally of the things he would need to bring to her to start her education off right.

"Er no I don't, in fact what the heck is energon? And I only know Cybertron is where the cybertronians live, though this is only due to the fact I met a Autobot a little while back. And a spark? Is that the strange glowing orb inside my chest when I transform?" Rin said, her expression full of confusion since half the stuff Blindspot was asking was alien to her. Never had she learned anything cybertronian, not even their language if they were able to learn it at all. Indeed she was greatly lacking in cybertronian knowledge compared to her human side.
Though why was he asking any how? Certainly this decepticon wouldn't be trying to become her self-appointed guardian or teacher. Right? She hoped that wasn't the case otherwise this was going to be something she would be explaining to her adoptive parents, which she didn't think she could come up with something. It was difficult enough being a human teenager, but being cybertronian there was a while other side to learn, as if life wasn't difficult already to get through. "Please tell me your not planning to teach me all this."

Blindspot actually gasped, an audible sharp intake of air through his vents, as Rin asked what a Spark was. “A Spark--A Spark is the very soul of a Cybertronian! It is the source of our life, it is also the source of Newsparks, it is… it is our everything, human pup!” He contemplated shifting, but decided against it. “And in most Cybertronians, yes, it is located in our chest. Even I, a mere drone, have a Spark. And… I suppose a hybrid creature like yourself does, as well.”
His rasping voice was grave as he spoke next. “Guard it well. If your Spark is snuffed, your life is ended. And yes, I suppose I will have to teach you these things, since nobody else is. I cannot believe you didn’t know what a Spark was. Lack of knowledge can be dangerous, little one! Goodness knows this country’s government is probably eager to get its hands on more Cybertronian technology…” He didn’t want to see this little girl imprisoned and experimented on as his Lord had been.
“And as for the finer aspects of Cybertronian culture, well. It is your heritage. You owe it to yourself to learn it.” Some deep instinct that Blindspot didn’t even know he possessed had clicked in him, and a command that issued straight from his spark was driving his nurturing functions into full throttle. He had slipped into the dreaded lurking Mother Hen mode, and nothing could save him now from his paternal instincts.

Rin listened a bit, putting a hand over what she could feel as a beating heart, not her humming spark that sounded like it could be singing,"Like you have to protect your heart with your life, it's not exactly any different Blindspot so that I really don't need the lesson on." She said but she gazed at him nervously, knowing full well this wasn't just a teacher thing. Was he really starting to become more of another parent? The last thing she needed was a fourth parent and she began to step back.
"Okay look, yea I may need to learn this stuff but I can wait till I find my father and learn from him there." She said obviously catching on to something of the change in Blindspot. He wasn't just planning to teach her he was almost trying to be more then that, which was a little freak in a sense to her and he was sounding quite protective. "Please tell me your not becoming a mother hen? Or another parent because I got more then enough."She said watching him.

“A heart?” He sounded nonplused. “Is that a human… thing? An organ? I do not know what a heart is, pup.” He was already ticking off the things he would need to show her, the things he felt she should know--but her next words hit him right in the Spark, and the car actually flinched away from her.
“Oh.” His paternal imperatives screeched to a halt. His attention was unwanted. He was surprised by how much that rejection had hurt. “I…” He was not about to be outdone by a pup and an absent Autobot, though. Remembering that the girl’s “father” had abandoned her (he was conveniently forgetting that this was not technically true), someone had to pick up the slack. The instincts barreled on, unheeded. “Well, your Autobot father is not here, and I cannot stand by and watch some pup go neglected.”
He rolled forward again. “Your personal feelings on the matter are irrelevant. This is for your own good! I am certain you will become quite interested in it all once I get you started." Blindspot was normally an extremely passive individual, but he was known to get bossy with patients who didn’t want to do what was best for them, and the situation with Rin was only slightly different. He made a mental note of her energy signature. “And now that I have met you, I will know where to find you.”

Rin now was growing a bit annoyed with Blindspot's bossy tone, especially when she insisted she would learn the stuff needed in time. "Yes the heart is a major organ in the human body, it's what pumps blood through the body. And as for learning the things needed for my cybertronian heritage, I will in time but forcing me into it is going way out of my comfort zone." She said, being rather stubborn on the subject as she clenched her fists slightly, backing up carefully towards the garage entrance.
"And find me as you may ice can slow you down and so can I." Rin closed her eyes as she focused on the concrete. Despite it being what it was, something already churned up from the gorund it was still an earth, a type of rock she could control and she would make use of it now. Breathing deeply she shifted her stance, like a she was about to fight then turned her palms upward and raised them quickly, the ground around Blindspot shooting up a little above his hood in the same manner. Looking up Rin smiled before she turned and sprinted back down the garage, looking for some place to try and hide.
Coming to one of the pillars she hid behind it, panting and her breathes coming out like small puffs of frost. How was she suppose to avoid the Decepticon drone when he was bent on teaching her a heritage she hardly knew? There was likely no way to get around him trying to teach her but she would be stubborn and make it harder then easier for him.

Blindspot sensed the change in the air, but he did not know what to make of it. It was unlike anything he’d felt before. He started to speak to her, his tone a bit gentler, “There is no need to be unreasonable, Pup, I am merely trying to help--” and then a wall of concrete had sprung up in front of him, and he panicked, frantically reversing.
Rin would hear it as she ran out of the parking garage: CRASH!
Blindspot had just backed into the same pillar. He carefully pulled away, wincing internally. Okay, that time had hurt, and he had smashed one of his taillights. Ow. Ow ow ow. He carefully rolled around the concrete wall, slowly, somewhat gingerly, and called, “Pup?”
She was gone.
“What did you just do?” he called into the parking garage. He didn’t look as if he was in any hurry to follow her out into the weather, especially not after his second crash.

Rin stayed behind one of the support pillars to the parking garage, at first wincing from the sound of the crash but she hadn't meant him get hurt again, only to slow him down. Honestly she had acted out of a little stubbornness on her part, not wanting to be thrown right into something so quickly and well him being a Decepticon she had to be a little cautious. Well maybe. Blindspot hadn't seemed to mean any harm but his bossy attitude prompted her to be somewhat on the defensive and now she wasn't sure what to make of it. But his question made her slightly peek around the pillar though still just out of sight.
"It's an ability I have naturally, it's part of something I learned as a result of my Cybertronian half." She answered, her voice echoing in the garage but she didn't reveal herself. She wasn't sure what Blindspot would do and Rin would be on the defensive or keep a watch on him.

Blindspot was a sophisticated machine, but he did not specialize in harmonics; others might be able to pinpoint the girl’s echoing voice and find her, but it was beyond his scope, and he knew it. He carefully, slowly rolled away from the barrier and the pillar that he had hit, his plates bristling and raising as he very carefully shifted to inspect the damage.
It was too low for in the garage for him to do anything except crouch, and it was quite a cramped space, making the task difficult. Since he had damaged the rear end of his vehicle mode, the plates on his shoulders and upper back were twisted a bit painfully. He reached over his shoulder, more or less reduced to crouching on all fours, to make sure he hadn’t accidentally tweaked any cables or even severed an Energon line.
“That is something else that you should probably investigate,” he grumbled. His raspy voice was not really much louder in his ‘bot form. He did not make any more moves towards Rin, and in fact seemed a bit subdued. It was a mixture of embarrassment, a bit of dejection, and physical discomfort.

Peeking carefully around the pillar Rin saw Blindspot and he did seem in some pain, his shoulders and upper back looking painful from transforming. Though she was a bit apprehensive in getting closer she finally stepped out from her hiding spot, looking at Blindspot with a neutral gaze,"I've been doing so the last few years since they developed and I've began to learn how to use them quite well." She said crossing her arms as she looked at Blindspot.
"But I would appreciate it if you held up on being a mother hen." She added as she moved closer a bit and looked at his shoulder,"Though you really look like your in pain from that surely."She said, gesturing to the damage.

Blindspot continued his inspection. He was listening to Rin, but he did not look to her; he had a tendency to narrow his focus when he was dealing with medical matters. “It is painful, but it is not a dangerous wound.” He finished his examination of the parts he could reach. No internal components seemed to be damaged; only his plating.
Now he turned back to Rin. “I am not a mother hen. Firstly, that is a bird, and moreover a female bird. I do not know if you are able to tell by my voice, but I am most certainly a mech, little one.” He carefully shifted back into his alt mode, settling on his tires. “I am simply being responsible. You have lived your life without knowing a full half of your heritage, human pup! The demonstration of your abilities only furthers my point. You are more than just a human. Aside from limiting yourself, to continue to live in such a way, without proper guidance, could be dangerous to your health.”
He did not know why he suddenly and very intensely cared about the fate of this girl, but he did. The thought that she might hurt herself. It wasn’t that he was fond of her--he barely knew her--but he could feel the feeling, a welling imperative from his very Spark. Protect the child. He felt powerless to disobey.

Rin sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose,"Look yes I understand what a hen is and that your obviously male but I also understand I am missing half of my heritage. I only found out a couple years ago what I truly was and recently of who my father really is. Now if you can stop beating the dead horse on the matter maybe this wouldn't get us both in some bad shape."She said trying to get Blindspot to see she understood what she had been missing the last several years.
Yes, she had been deprived of what else she was and learning that part of herself but it had been for a reason for protecting her. It apparently was that way for most techno organics to keep them safe, but besides that she really didn't know much else. But Rin knew her father had not known of her, therefore she held no hard feelings of him abandoning her in the first place. Now there was the matter of finding and meeting Sideswipe so they could get to know each other and not be apart anymore. Rin just hoped he knew who she was or was aware of her existence.
"Look I know your suddenly concerned for me but I am fairly capable in handling myself Blindspot and holding my own in a tough situation. Now if you please can you lay off me needing to know this stuff, please."She said in a more kinder tone.
