((Decepticon Base; December 24th, 2027)) ((Time: 16:00 [4:00 PM])) The infamous maverick known as Deconstructor was at it once again, having sneaked out of the Decepticon base. There were many things that he was supposed to be doing at this moment - organizing the armory, supply inventory, searching for things that more authoritative 'cons had lost - but instead, he'd become bored with these menial tasks and was now standing on the tarmac outside the main hangar, surveying his surroundings and wondering what he might blow up. {"Why do the higher-ups want me to stay here all the time?"}, the impulsive young Cybertronian questioned to himself. {"My skills would be put to much better use making all the ugly, unnecessary human cities into beautiful explosions! That'd be so much more useful than hanging around in this dump all the time, doing chores for the superior officers... what's so superior about them, anyway?!"}Frustrated by his situation, and even more frustrated that he couldn't think of anywhere to go now that he'd escaped the confines of his degrading assigned duties, the technician transformed into his Dodge Prowler alternate mode and proceeded to drive wildly in circles for a while, turning as sharply as he could at rather high speeds and allowing his vehicle form to spin out of control. As was to be expected, this kicked up quite a cloud of dust before long. "Slagging dust!" he yelled, and released a small burst of electromagnetic energy which forced the subatomic particles of the dust to separate, effectively clearing it. As the obscuring dust instantly disintegrated, Deconstructor thought he noticed some movement in the distance. He paused for a fraction of a second to consider what it might be, but finally decided that the perimeter defenses would be enough and resumed his game of driving as wildly as he could outside the base.

Not that she cared, Abyss was back from her travels a day before Christmas. The old, shiny Chrysler Imperial rolled towards the Decepticon base, finding this to be more more so than the Autobot base for now. Her alternate mode had definitely been through several washes, especially after healing up from her intense battle for survival with Rinzler and Darklight. A few new dings were on her frame as a result, but she didn't care about that either. She was old, but appealing beyond the somewhat jaded appearance.
Seeing some dust stir up near the front side of the main complex, Abyss accelerated a ways before coming to a steady stop. She studied the Cybertronian out front calmly, keeping her distance and not saying a single word for the moment. It was about time she made some allies, Trevor was right about one thing, she needed to be herself more, and that meant she needed to spend more time with her own kin...

Deconstructor was too distracted by his risky driving to notice the vehicle that had approached. He wasn't paying attention to his surrounding environment at all, and likely wouldn't have noticed if he were suddenly transported from here to Cybertron itself. All that was on his mind was the sharpness of the turn he was taking, how fast he accelerated through it, how much he slowed down beforehand... An Autobot who didn't know him might see him and think he was an aggressive stunt driver, rather than an insurgent who liked to blow things up.
All too soon, the expected result of speeding around madly had to take effect: The Prowler hit a rock, or an uneven patch of ground - Deconstructor had no time to figure out which - and the explosives technician felt his vehicle form lose its steadiness and begin to flip over. Not wanting the indignation of a visit to the medic, he focused the excess electromagnetic energy generated within his systems on himself, and just before he would have smashed into the ground, his entire form broke up and dematerialized just as the dust had a klik before. A couple of micro-kliks passed, and suddenly the robot form of Deconstructor materialized from the ground up, as if he had risen from the dusty road. "Thank you, thank you!" he shouted to no one in particular, taking dramatic bows as if he were a professional performer. Of course, only then did he notice the black vehicle that was sitting only a short distance away. "Oh... slag," said the impulsive Decepticon. He considered dematerializing, but knew that whoever this was had already seen him... and he wasn't about to give them the satisfaction of watching him disappear like a coward.

"Well that was certainly enteraining." The femme commented as she approached a bit clsoer, but not too close. "Fancy trick of yours?" Most males were deemed a waste of time beyond the professional level. Many of the ones she'd met, both human and Cybertronian weren't all that interesting. There had been only one human she had taken a liking to so far, and of course, he was stationed at NEST for now.
It was merely the dematerializing that caught her attention. One couldn't blame her, the ability was certainly unique.

Deconstructor nodded quickly before answering: "Fancy trick indeed... I'm the one and only who can do it!" To show off just how capable he was, the technician channeled the electromagnetic energy from his systems through one arm, allowing that arm to slowly lose its atomic cohesion and disintegrate just as he had before. He did this very slowly, letting the particles follow invisible field lines along the earth and momentarily make a distorted geometric pattern before disappearing from view. The way Deconstructor handled his dematerialization process with such precision, he looked more like a computer-projected image than a solid object... and then suddenly, he forced the energy being projected through his systems to surge, and his entire body seemed to disintegrate into the ground. This process left a powerful and unique energy signature which any Cybertronian - or even a human, if they had the right equipment - could pick up easily, but of course reckless, impulsive Deconstructor hadn't considered that. He was just interested in showing off.
"Cool enough for ya'?" he said suddenly, having materialized once again further to the right of the newcomer.

"Certainly." Abyss chuckled. She definitely noticed the signature left behind, but did not comment on it. "Are you looking for something to do as I am? Is the base still relatively quiet?" Abyss questioned casually, hoping activity had picked up in a month or so since she had been gone but she figured that was likely not so.
She wondered why she had even returned other than hoping to get another job...perhaps it was because since last month or so, going to visit the Autobots wasn't the most ideal thing for her to do since her hunt for Barricade.

"You could say that..." Deconstructor groaned. The truth was, he was tired of following orders when he wanted to do his own thing, and was sneaking out of the base to avoid authority... but he wasn't about to explain that to this newcomer. "Nothing much is happening, the superiors have gotten bored without being able to order us around and started ordering us to do stupid, menial things like clean the spilled energon out of the interrogation chamber. How 'bout no thanks?! Fragging interrogators can clean their own messes!" The explosives technician scoffed indignantly at the end of his sentence, to show just how much he hated being ordered around. "It's been too long since I saw a decent-sized explosion..."

"Explosions...I could help fix that problem. I have been low on duties as well, so I can relate to your boredom. I recently returned from the Middle East to take a break. You would have fun there, the terrorists always have work to offer."
Abyss knew she was straying from her ways a bit, but sometimes she had to make some sacrifices if she wanted to entertain herself and make some money. "But I've grown a little tired of that place myself." she was technically a mercenary, not a demolitions expert like Deconstructor.

Deconstructor was clearly and visibly excited by the thought of making an impressive explosion, and was pacing back and forth in front of Abyss as he visualized it. The immense power of all that concentrated heat and energy... the things it could accomplish... there was an intoxicating beauty in that power which Deconstructor himself didn't fully understand his obsession with. But it was so perfect, one of the few things on this primitive, organic planet that wasn't mindless and menial! In a universe where mystery was almost always hidden behind a lifetimes' worth of tedious, demeaning tasks, massive forces created by tiny explosive devices were the one thing that was worth the work of setting up.
"The Middle East, huh... Yeah, I saw that on the human news, I'll have to look into going there sometime," he said. If nothing else, the trip would be an excuse to get away from his superior officers. "Well, I was about to head into the city and find some really elaborate building to level dramatically. Care to come?"

"Sure, I don't have anything better to do." Abyss replied, revving her engine a little. It would be nice to explore the local states some more so she could be more comfortable if she was to hang around the Decepticons. Not all were a lovely bunch to be around, but it was a better choice than the Autobots for now. "My name is Abyss, by the way. Mercenary. Currently on downtime."
It was always a little awkward for this femme to make friends because of her duties, but every now and then, it couldn't hurt.

Deconstructor grinned in response. Explosions were always more fun - if that was even possible - when someone else was there to share in the excitement! "Nice to meet you. I'm Deconstructor," he said before transforming into his Dodge Prowler vehicle form and speeding away, toward the state route into the city. "Try to keep up!"
The maverick sped through a red light and noticed that, just fifteen feet ahead of him, an old man with a walker was struggling through the crosswalk. {"Well... let's see how I can make this more interesting..."}, thought Deconstructor. He continued accelerating until he was five feet from the man... three feet from the man... Then, just before he would have hit this infernally slow human, the technician directed a burst of electromagnetic energy at him and the old man simply disintegrated, broken apart into the form of stray atmospheric molecules. "Whoo! That was fun!" exclaimed the malevolent Decepticon.

All though Abyss wasn't accustomed to killing senselessly like that, she DID admit the ability was pretty cool. She had a pretty impressive main weapon and it was energy-based in a way, but it was still much different. "Downtown, which is about an hour away, has some nice big buildings with a lot of landscaping. Could be fun since you're just after creating a display of explosions." Normally, she disagreed with such antics, but sometimes you had to let off some steam. And break stuff. Abyss decided the time had come for her to relax a little. The opportunity was hard to resist since she had been so significantly influenced by the Decepticons.

Deconstructor accelerated even further until he was driving in excess of 100 miles per hour. This was likely not a good idea in a residential area - even one with a wide road like this - but the Decepticon paid no attention to such concerns. Progress wasn't being made fast enough. There were boring buildings downtown that needed to collapse with a bang already, slaggit! "Nothing better than a display of well-timed explosions..." he commented in response to Abyss.
Deconstructor turned the corner at his ridiculously high speed, going off the road slightly and tearing up somebody's well-kept garden. {"Well! Some fussy organic won't be too happy!"} he thought with mild amusement as he sped away, continuing toward downtown and obviously more interested in getting there than in keeping a low profile.

Despite her alternate mode being smaller, Abyss was able to keep pace with the young mech, keeping a fair distance behind him, able to avoid the landscaping. She detected an incoming projectile from the lower atmosphere however, and was suspecting it was another Cybertronian arrival. Well how convenient that they would arrive somewhere in their vicinity. This could be interesting, especially if they were an Autobot. She double checked the signal source again and found it to be Decepticon. "It appears we may have a newcommer join us." she announced in case Deconstructor was more focused on the road.

Carnage happened to drop into a local Ford dealership, his heavy armor as well as his transport pod causing significant damage to one corner of the lot near some nice Mustangs. Quickly scanning one of the Mustangs without much thought as he emerged from the mess, he quickly drove off in his new terrestrial disguise without really considering where he was going to go first. "Sorry for the mess guys! Not!" he shouted as he left.
Interestingly enough, his alternate mode didn't completely match up with the original as it often did for most Cybertronians. He had enough armor the Mustang appeared bulkier than normal and he remained in a tinted grayish black. It looked like a very mean, customized Mustang. He was able to hide the weapons in various compartments but it was clearly a non-standard Mustang. "Carnage coming through!" he activated his rapid fire chain gun on the right side of the Mustang's hood at two vehicles who were passing the entrance of the dealership just as he was getting to the same point.
