EDI tilted forward and easily swooped in, banking a small circle around Windsong before he carefully dropped down and deployed his landing gear, landing vertical and settling on his wheels next to Windsong and slightly behind his Starboard wing. He shut down his engines then and remained quiet, though he was reluctant to open the cockpit and let Keith out just yet. He was nervous, afraid for Keith's life as the information implanted in his data core from the POE rolled through his neural net yet again, declaring all alien machines to be hostile and murderously destructive. "Father..." he murmured softly "Are you certain this is the best course of action?" he asked, a tremor in his voice that spoke of just how scared EDI really was considering how hard it was for EDI to even show emotion in the first place.

While Keith spoke to EDI, Windsong called on Optimus, whom he had just recently encountered once maybe twice since he landed on Earth. <"Optimus, sir, I have guests at the base that need your precense. We have urgent news that must be spread to both the Autobots and the NEST operatives. We will have to take immediate, likely progressive action of the problem."> He did not know that others were also finding out about the POE within a very close time frame, but the news would be spread quickly regardless, and everything would tie together at some point.
Windsong transformed and watched EDI land before stepping off the actual tarmac to take a kneel and avoid damaging the soft surface of the asphalt. He "took a knee" and looked over at the UCAV with a semi-quizzal/curious expression. He took a kneel mainly because his size was far more daunting than even Optimus's own stature.

"I'm positive, EDI. We need to hear both sides of the equation anyway. I want to hear from the leader to be sure that I wasn't getting paranoid for nothing. The leader's actions should reveal a lot to us. If not, well only then will question who we should listen to. Windsong there seems to be telling the truth, I want to see how far the rabbit hole goes." Keith replied, patting the AI's console reassuringly. He was probably just as unsure as EDI, but he had to hear these aliens out to make sure he wasn't clouding his personal judgment.

EDI remained uncertain, though he relented to Keith's judgment on the situation. "I will listen and concede to your decision, father." he offered softly, though he still would not open the cockpit, not yet anyway. He would wait until Keith gave the command to do so, and even then he would insist that Keith remain close to him. He was not about to risk his creator's life, but he knew he had to follow Keith's commands. He remained still and unmoving even as Windsong transformed and settled nearby out of the way, waiting, wondering what was going to happen to himself and his creator now that they were literally surrounded by alien machines, which EDI could detect all around him on his sensors. He tried very hard to remain calm, however, hoping he really was doing the right thing in coming to them for help and for answers.

Keith nodded, patting EDI's console again lightly. "Good, EDI." he said approvingly. "If you'd like, I can get out so you can transform. But it's not like you have to. I'm comfortable in here just as well." he suggested in case he wanted to use it to test interactions with these Cybertronians a little less awkwardly. It wouldn't matter to Keith, he could speak to them either from the cockpit or standing on the ground in person, it was all up to them.

EDI thought about it for a moment, but it was a very short moment. "I would prefer that you remain within my cockpit for safety. I do not know if these aliens will turn on us once we give them the information." he replied honestly, then added "If you wish to do otherwise, I will obey your command, however." EDI remained still as he was, waiting quietly outside of his private conversation with his creator.

Hearing Windsong's call Optimus was making his way from his office, concern showing his dark blue optics but the rest of his expression was hidden behind his battle mask. Normally he didn't hide his facial expressions but he also didn't want to cause urgency among the NEST base quite yet or have then alert right away, not till he himself knew what was going on. But whatever it was was enough to make one of the few Autobot fliers to be quite urgent and with needing all the base to know ASAP.
Stepping outside from the hanger the twenty eight foot tall red and blue semi mech gave the tarmac a quick scan with his gaze until he spotted Windsong, having met him only a few times but recognized him and another ship he was not familiar with. Taking a deep breathe to calm his 'nerves' Optimus made his way towards the three, not realizing there was a human within the odd ship. "What seems to be the urgency Windsong? And our guests?"He asked calmly, actually quite curious to know.

"We have some discouraging news to share. I was meandering along the East Coast when I encountered this one here-- he goes by the designation EDI, and he is created by man. I will let them explain the full story - I just happened to encounter him, only to find out said bad news. There is a dangerous group of humans amongst us that work in secret called the Preservers of Earth, and they seek to exterminate any and all Cybertronians. EDI was created to help protect the humans and eliminate targets with the aerial superiority we fliers are granted...Luckily, there was no fighting between us." he glances down at the two, optic ridges frowning slightly at the small VTOL aircraft: did EDI have any sort of meaning to it? The way he had heard the name made it sound like it was just another human name...

Keith was busy staring up at Windsong and Optimus once they got closer to them. He felt so small sitting here in EDI's cockpit! He rather liked each of their highly unique appearances, and noticed the key structural differences in what made a flier versus one that didn't. How very fascinating! Keith rather liked the set of colors Optimus had, and though he was only half Windsong's huge size, he was still a bit easier to look at. "My eyes hurt..." Keith muttered with amusement. "I'll do the talking EDI, unless you want me to...We both speak for humans after all."
((Bug me on Skype and I'll edit this if you want Keith to speak for em.))

EDI regarded the large robots with more than a little apprehension, though he didn't move from where he was. "Perhaps it would be best if you spoke for us both. You know more about Command Control's intention. I have the protocols and information implanted in my neural net, but what I have is only useable for tracking and attack, not diplomacy." he replied honestly, not sure if he should speak at all, unless he was asked a direct question. EDI was uncomfortable with the situation as it was, he was not about to start a fight while he was so completely surrounded by these alien machines, and especially not with Keith in very real danger from such a destructive conflict.

Optimus listened to Windsong and was quiet the whole time the flier explained the bad news he had obtained and it left Optimus somewhat dismayed to know this. So there were humans who were indeed against them but he had never imagined they would hate them so much as to want to exterminate the cybertronians. Would that mean the Techno organics were in danger as well from this? "This is most disturbing news Windsong, and not exactly the hate I had expected from the humans."He said with concern showing on his face.
Looking down at the jet Optimus spoke to them at last,"If you do not mind me asking EDI but do you and your partner work for these humans?"He inquired, though he was calm and didn't want to risk a chance of hostility. But he had to know for the safety of all the Autobots under his command, he wouldn't risk losing another life, not again when they had been lost so quickly before.

"If you would allow me to throw my two cents in -- we did. Regretfully. I worked with a couple of them directly. How many people are associated is uncertain." Keith spoke up after listening to EDI and the Autobot leader. He knew that EDI probably had more information on the POE than he did off hand at this point, and he hoped that whatever information was currently obtained could readily be transferred to the Autobots.
He began to wonder if other Autobots had encountered affiliates/members of the POE, and if so, how recently.

EDI remained quiet as Keith addressed the tall red and blue alien machine. He discretely displayed a holographic screen low in front of Keith, showing him the information EDI had, the location of the now destroyed POE base in Colorado, the names of several officers, including the base commander who was now up a tree in his vehicle, thanks to Windsong, the alien radiation signature he was given to scan for and his orders to seek and destroy all sources of this radiation, several of which seemed to surround EDI now which put him on edge, fearing the worst, including the immense machine in front of EDI now. His thoughts remained on the situation at hand, and he watched these alien machines carefully, scanning them continuously for weapons deployment, movement, and anything else to warn him of possible attack. EDI simply could not help it, the programming was hard to ignore; he was surrounded by targets and the POE programming was screaming at him to destroy them all, yet reason was also screaming at him to stop, the two sides warring with each other in his neural net, thought processes that Keith could see displayed on the HUD, along with the fear of Keith being in danger among these alien machines, and yet, they seemed to be the opposite of what the POE had told him. Stress and confusion began to grow within him again as he sat there listening to them talk, though outside of the holographic screen that only Keith cold see, EDI remained quiet and motionless as he sat there on his landing gear facing these alien machines.
