RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: Permanent
Name: Darkwind
Nickname: Talon 3, “Lt Henry Prucell”
Gender Identity: Femme
Approximate Age: 33 human years equivilant
Alliance: Decepticons
Function/Job: Sniper
Height: 35 feet
Approximate Mass: 13 Metric Tons
Cybertronian Type: Normal Cybertronian
Personality: Darkwind is a very quiet bot, preferring to speak only what is necessary, and let her actions do most of the talking. Even those who know her well experience the same attitude, though they know it is not a closing off or true coldness. It is simply how she truly is. Before the war, if asked why she was so quiet, she would respond that there was “nothing to be said.” It is highly likely that this answer still stands true, though she has not been asked.
Darkwind also has an immense amount of patience. If need be, she will remain in the same spot for as long as necessary, sometimes days to weeks, to take the right shot. That does not mean it will take her long to snap, in her own way, at someone who is annoying her. She has no patience for someone who decided to so much as touch her rifle, and some patience for those who need to take a hint and leave her alone. Whatever the case may be, when she runs out of patience, you start running.
Darkwind does her best to be efficient in whatever she does. She doesn’t like to leave witnesses, and won’t take a rifle shot unless it’s the only one she’ll take for that target. This does not, in any way, mean she is not cruel. She simply does not like to waste her time. One of her least-liked things is to spend a large amount of time doing something, and nothing comes of it.
Appearance: Darkwing stands at approximately 35 feet tall. She has digigrade-style legs, like many aerial frames, and her wings fold behind her, per her alt mode’s design, though they fold up instead of down. Her armor is a light grey color, and the name “Lt. Henry Prucell” is painted just under the cockpit canopy on the sides of her fuselage. Where the original talons had a star in a circle with two bars coming off both sides of the circle, she has a Decepticon logo instead of a star. Her optics are a deep, dark red.
Alt Mode:

Holoform/Human Form:
Weapons: Blue Ferret missiles, Throat Ripper missiles, Sidewinder missiles, HARM missiles, Fuel Air Explosives, Truncheon implosion bombs, 2 Equalizer Gatling guns all in alt mode only. A small energon knife and a long-barreled sniper rifle are her only weapons in robot mode.
Abilities: None
Strengths: Darkwind is an excellent shooter, mostly because she takes her time with each shot to make sure she has whoever her target is in her sights. Even without careful aim, she has a high amount of accuracy with hitting her intended target. She owes a good portion of her accuracy to one of her optics being modified to view longer distances when needed. This, along with the crosshairs scope on her rifle, gives her a view of the target as though they were right in front of her.
Weaknesses: Despite her excellent marksmanship, Darkwind does not have very good close-combat skills. Getting within close striking range of her greatly reduces her combat ability, though she’s not left completely helpless.
Family: Unknown
History: Darkwind worked in a refinery before the war. It is unknown if she had any parents or siblings, or if she was spawned by the AllSpark. No one related to her was ever seen. The only bots she was ever close with were her two trinemates, Cloudstreaker and Syndicate. When the factions started to form, Darkwind sided with the Decepticons, mostly to get out of the refinery. Cloudstreaker joined the Decepticons as well, but Syndicate had a Sparkmate who was with the Autobots, and she followed him to join that side. She started out as a grunt, like many Decepticons, but soon found a fighting skill that she could learn that interested her. She practiced her sharpshooting abilities whenever she could, and started to become quite proficient in them.
She slowly climbed her way up in the ranks a bit, just enough so that she was a more respected member of the Decepticons. She’d always been a quiet one, and simply got more quiet and cold as the war dragged on. She didn’t see much of Cloudstreaker after the trine was split, and they were only split further when Cloudstreaker was called away for something.
As time went on, Darkwind began to think about leaving Cybertron to go find other places the Autobots had gone to. When Optimus’s message was sent out, the group she was with intercepted it. That was when she made her decision to go. She traveled to Earth, and managed to slip into the atmosphere undetected, using her Cybertronian alt as opposed to her protoform. It was the year 2016 when she’d arrived, and she began her search for an Earth disguise. Something caught her optic as she searched. She’d stumbled upon the final training run of a squadron of three new fighter jets developed by the U.S. Navy. They were the F/A-37 Talons. Unfortunately, she was one Decepticon on her own, and she needed to be able to destroy the original jet as well as take out any witnesses. So, she waited, and bided her time.
When the three pilots got leave to go to Thailand, she was ready. Scanning a local girl who was unfortunate enough to wander just a bit too far from her home, Darkwind managed to catch the attention of one of the pilots using her new holoform, walking down the steps as he was going up. As he talked to her, she pretended to not be able to understand him, learning enough Taiwanese to be able to fool him. When he was called up for a mission, she followed in the air, waiting still for a chance to strike. The fourth jet did not escape her notice, but she paid it little mind. She was focused on the pilot’s jet. Lt. Henry Prucell, aka Talon 3, was her target.
She got her chance when the fourth fighter suddenly went rogue, and the three Talons had to chase after it. Henry was the first to find the jet, and pursue it. She scanned his jet as they flew through the canyon, and scanned him for her holoform, just as an added measure. As it so happened, she never had to lift a finger to get rid of him. The fourth jet, as well as his own error, did that for her. Once his squadron mates had left, she investigated the wreckage to be sure that there was no chance of him surviving. From there, she laid low, seeking out the Decepticons so that she could rejoin them.
Now, with the increase of their activity, she finally has.
Additional Info: Was once part of a trine with Cloudstreaker and Syndicate.
