RPer: Suburban Wulf (Chasm)
Character Type: Semi-Permanent
Name: Hugin and Munin
Nickname: Odin’s messangers
Gender Identity: Male (Hugin) and Female (Munin)
Approximate Age: Equivalent of a pair of 3-year-old Earth ravens
Alliance: Neutral
Function/Job: N/A
Height: Hugin is approximately 2.75ft with a wingspan of about 7ft. Munin is approximately 3.5ft with a wingspan of about 8ft.
Approximate Mass: Hugin; 0.25 metric tons. Munin; 0.35 metric tons
Type of Cybertronian: Northern Raptorbots
Personality: Hugin is the more aggressive of the pair, and is more prone to short bursts of anger or frustration. Outside of the uncommon occasions where his anger gets the best of him, however, he is much more the thinker. It had been his idea to leave Cybertron when the war was still in its earlier stages, and the Decepticons were just beginning to lay waste to the rest of Cybertron. He is very upset at the larger Cybertronians for this, as much of his and Munin’s kind were obliterated as a result of the war.
Munin is the calmer of the two, though she can be quite fearsome herself if riled up to that point. As much as she is upset at their home’s, and their kind’s, destruction, she prefers to remember the better times, before the war overtook their planet.
Now, both of them have a slight quirk to their mentality. They often speak in regards to Norse mythology, believing themselves to be Odin’s ravens.
Appearance: Hugin and Munin both have the standard appearance of Northern Raptorbots, with similar accent patterns, though the colors are different. Hugin has red optics with gold and red colors for his markings, while Munin has blue optics with silver and blue for her markings.
Alt Mode: Anything close to their mass
Holoform/Human Form: N/A
Weapons: Small mini-guns tucked away underneath their wings.
Abilities: None
Strengths: Being Northern Raptorbots, Hugin and Munin are both very fast in the air, and have their natural agility in the air to fall back on, so long as they are actually in the air.
Weaknesses: Both of them are very small, by Cybertronian standards, which makes it very easy for them to take large amounts of damage very easily.
Family: The two of them are siblings to each other. Nothing is known of the rest of their family.
History: Hugin and Munin hatched as part of a small clutch in the area around Six Lasers, neither one holding a name. They grew up in the flight they were hatched into, growing more independent with age. A favorite activity of theirs before the war was to investigate Six Lasers, and sometimes fly with the acrobatics show that was there.
When war broke out, it quickly became evident that unless they escaped, their kind would go extinct. Many in their flight, as well as other flights, tried to escape the war. Many of them failed, and their numbers quickly decreased. Hugin and Munin managed to hide away against a shuttle that was transporting a group of Neutrals away from the planet, leaving Cybertron far behind them.
Sometime later, the avians found themselves on a semi-primitive Earth, among people of the Norse culture, where they were hailed as Hugin and Munin, Odin’s ravens, and named as such. They remained with the people, learning their language, and of their lore, sinking into it. With no sustainable sources of energy available, however, the two began to run the danger of dying. So, they found a cave that they could hide in, telling the people that they needed to journey to Asgard to report to Odin, and to await Ragnarok. The cave was sealed, so none would disturb their rest, and it has remained sealed for centuries…
