"And now they are invading your waking period." Munin continued. "If you let it dictate your life, however, then you have not truly returned to life."
"You came offering help for us." Hugin stepped forward, his red optics having much the same look as his sister's. "But it is obvious that you are the one who requires help. The creature in your nightmares will consume your mind if you do not defeat it. We shall help and guide you."

Jazz vented slowly, trying to calm himself down, then looked to the pair, fear still bright in his blue optics. "I... I don't know how..." he admitted softly, his voice shaky and uncertain. He had never told anyone of his nightmares, and only one other even knew of them and he couldn't bear to talk about them with Charter, nor could he even begin to admit to the addiction to mech stims he now suffered just to escape the nightmares that threatened to tear him apart.
Eirik stepped forward now, laying a hand on Jazz' forearm. "Maybe Odin knew of this and sent them to help you. Maybe he knew you and your friends need their help to heal what was lost. But to do that, they have to help you first before they can help the others." he looked to the ravens. "Maybe Odin wanted me to find you and wake you so you could help them, maybe find an end to the suffering you've all gone through." he added softly, then looked up to Jazz. "Odin is wise, and he understands the pain, probably more than any of us can imagine..."
Jazz could only look at the human, uncertain and scared of his own memories. He hated what he had become, never in his life had he feared anything, and now he was terrified, yet he couldn't bear to admit it, not even to those he loved most.

The two ravens nodded in unison, and Munin even stepped forward to place a wing against Jazz's armor gently. "We shall guide you, and help you learn how, but we shall not do it for you."
Hugin looked over to Eirik. "I am sorry we may have to part ways so soon, but we shall return. If you end up having need of us, do not hesitate to call. We shall know, and we shall come."

Eirik nodded, placing his hand over the emblems he wore around his neck. "Odin be with you, my friends." he offered and stepped away, letting the bots have their privacy.
Jazz looked at the two ravens sadly. "But it was our fault your kind was destroyed, I should be the one helping you." he protested softly. "You've been through so much already, it's not fair to ask more of you..."

"You are not asking more." Munin stated firmly. "It is our duty as Odin's messengers to help, and it is obvious that Odin wishes us to help you."
Hugin reached under his wing with his beak, pulling a small piece of metal out. The piece was a curled bit, like a metal shaving, and had bits of color in it. He placed it on the ground near Eirik. "This is a piece of our home. Keep it, in case our duties take us away for too long, and we do not meet again in this world."

Eirik picked up the token and held it close, offering a smile of thanks. "Take care of him, he needs you more than I do." he whispered, then left them in peace.
Jazz sighed, lowering his gaze. "I don't know that I understand... all I know is that you should be soaring over the northern skies of Cybertron with the rest of your kind, wild and free... You shouldn't be trying to save the sanity of one lost n lonely mech like me..." He then looked at them, extending a hand slowly just to touch Munin lightly. "I miss home..." he said shakily, closing his optics again.

"Our kind no longer flies the skies." Munin replied, a slight tone of bitterness to her voice. "Hugin and I do not even know how many of our kind still exist. What we do know is that Odin wished for us to find Earth, and for us to assist humans. Apparently, he wants us to assist you as well. We do not question the decisions of the AllFather. We merely follow them."

Jazz winced at her tone and her words when she spoke of her kind, murmuring a soft "I'm sorry..." in response. He knew well that the decimation of their race, of all the mechanimals, was because of the war, because the Autobots could not protect them from the onslaught of the Decepticons. "We're trying to protect this planet, trying to protect the humans from the Decepticons." he offered softly. He was still confused as to why they spoke of old human myths instead of those of Cybertron, but he didn't question it. "I know we failed you, all of you, on Cybertron... I'm sorry..." He pulled his arms up around himself, lowering his head. "We lost a lot of our own too... because of Mmm...nnn... because the Decepticons..." he vented sharply then, inwardly cursing himself for his weakness and fear, yet he was afraid, terrified of even the warlord's very name and the nightmares it invoked in him. He had begun to hate what he had become, weak and afraid, useless to his friends, crippled by nightmares and addiction. "I'm not worth saving, but the others are... you are... that's why I came, to protect you from the Decepticons... I can't bear the thought of you being destroyed too..." he admitted then.

"We can more than take care of ourselves!" Hugin added sharply. "We have done so for centuries, and we can continue to do so now. It is you who quite obviously needs help, and no amount of arguing is going to change that. If you still feel the need to 'help' us, then let us perform our duties! We are Odin's messengers, the guardians of thought and memory."
"Besides," Munin added. "How can you protect anyone when you have trouble protecting yourself?"

Jazz flinched in response to Hugin's sharp tone, ducking his head down a bit more. He knew they were right, that he could not truly help them, he couldn't help anyone in the state he was in. He felt useless and broken as it was, their words only confirmed it even more. He nodded solemnly then, feeling even more defeated and broken. His symbiotes tucked themselves away under his armor and he transformed, backing away from the tent. "We... should go... if they know you're here, they'll come looking for you... if they think you've left, they'll leave the humans alone and go searching elsewhere for you..." he suggested, wanting to go into hiding, though he was not ready to go back to base. He did know of someplace they could go to that was near the base, the abandoned smelting mill he had explored with Cira. The thought of her made his Spark shiver, though he buried it, feeling unworthy of her, especially now...

"Then we shall go, and begin your journey towards healing." Hugin nodded, he and his sister following Jazz. Outside the tent, the two of them spread their wings and simultaneously took to the air, circling around above Jazz, waiting.

Jazz called up a ground bridge that would take them to the mill, and once open, he drove through it, skidding to a stop on the other side, then moving towards the chain locked double doors at one end of the large building, transformed and popped the lock, opened the doors, and slipped inside, waiting for the birds to follow before he shut the doors again, then moved to sit in the dark interior, waiting quietly, his head down.

Hugin and Munin followed, flying through the ground bridge and into the building. They looked around, noting how devoid of light it was. Hugin set about to remedy the problem. "Darkness is not conducive to a mindset healthy enough for this task." He spoke, searching out the lights.
Munin landed on Jazz's knee, looking up at him. "Our words were a bit too harsh, perhaps?" She asked. [colo=blue]"But we needed to get through a stubborn head."

Jazz nodded slightly, looking at Munin trying to hide the pain he felt in his Spark. He lightly stroked her back with one finger, venting softly as Hugin sought out a way to turn on some lights. "I feel... broken... useless... I'm always so afraid... especially of... him..." he shivered and looked away, his hand moving to cover the scar across his midsection. "I feel like I'm drowning in pain n terror... the nightmares... I can't wake up..." he whispered with a shiver. He couldn't even stand the idea of going into recharge. Red Alert had found him thrashing and screaming on the floor of his own quarters one night, unable to wake up out of the nightmare as it was, the same night his symbiotes had emerged. The memory of that night made him curl up into himself, wanting only to retreat from the pain and horror that threatened to tear him apart inside.

Munin nodded. She asked, blinking a couple of times when Hugin finally did find the lights and flipped them on. "You obviously cannot even say his name without invoking memories, so we shall try something."
