Hugin nodded, nudging Munin to go first. Between the two of them, Hugin was the elder, which made him quite protective and caring towards Munin. Once Munin had taken what she would need, roughly enough to fill half of her tank, Hugin did the same. They knew they would have more than enough to sustain them for a while on half a tank, even enough to stretch their wings for a bit.

Jazz sat there as they did so, a soft smile on his silvery face, one hand gently stroking each bird's back as they fed, a gesture meant to sooth and calm. Once they had finished, he looked at them both. "This place was abandoned by humans, so you should be left alone here. Be careful though, some spots are not completely stable and may not hold your weight. Those old smelting pots over there should be safe enough though." he told them., then added, "I'll be back soon, I promise." He then carefully slipped out through the large doors he had entered through, closing them behind him so the raptobots would not be disturbed. He knew they could easily get out if they wanted to through the windows on the upper floors, which they could access through the open area above the smelting pots that extended from ground to roof and nearly from one end of the large building to the other.

Once Jazz had left, the siblings set about exploring their temporary home. It did not take them long to get a general idea of the layout, and soon enough they were longing for the open sky. A brief discussion was had before they found and open window to climb out of. The light was low, with the sun sinking below the horizon, but that didn't bother them. Spreading their wings, they launched themselves into the air, their wings bringing them up higher as they flew. They stayed within sight of the building, but allowed the winds to help carry them around, enjoying the freedom of flight for the time being.

Jazz headed back to the base and the first place he went was Energon storage. He knew Red Alert would be monitoring the base security systems, he just hoped that his beloved brother would not decide to closely examine or follow what Jazz was doing, or where he was going. {"Just trust in me Red, please... I can't reveal them to anyone yet, not until they tell me it's okay. Just please trust me."} he thought inwardly as he loaded up on filled Energon capsules, then closed up the storage vault and prepared to head out again.

Red Alert was nearing the end of his run for the past week, feeling his frame beginning to demand recharge. Something on the screens caught his optics, and he brought it onto the main one. It was Jazz, inside of the Energon vault. Confusion sparked across his processor as to what Jazz would need in the vault. <"Jazz? Is everything alright?">

Jazz perked up and slowed a bit when Red Alert contacted him. He looked over at the security camera and gave it one of his disarming smiles. <"Is all cool, Red. Don't worry."> he assured the Security Officer, hoping that would be enough, though knowing Red Alert was unlikely to just let it drop so easily.

Red Alert frowned a bit, concerned as to what was going on, but wanting to trust Jazz. <"Promise you'll tell me later?"> The Security Officer was genuinely concerned about Jazz's well-being, especially with how often Jazz kept running off from the base without telling anyone. He understood that Jazz needed his space, but it would be nice for Jazz to let someone know where he was going in case something happened.

Jazz grinned at the camera. <"Red, you know I won't do anything that'll hurt any of us."> he assured Red Alert, then placed his hand over his Spark, his expression softening as he looked at the camera, imagining Red Alert standing there. <"I love you, Red, always."> he said softly, then transformed, carrying his newly gathered Energon cache and heading out towards the gate.
Jazz vented softly as he raced back out towards the old steel mill again. By the time he arrived, it was completely dark. He carefully slipped inside the large structure, using his headlights, mounted at his wrists, to light his way as he moved over to a strong and well sheltered area, then began carefully stacking half a dozen Energon capsules within easy access for the two avians yet protected from view otherwise. He then settled back and waited for them to return, figuring they were out exploring under the cover of darkness.

The sound of a familiar engine caught the avians' attention, and they turned to return to the building, crawling back in through the window they had left from. Spotting Jazz down below, they swooped down, finding perches for themselves before settling in. ~"Many thanks, Jazz."~ Munin stated with a slight nod. Hugin had spotted the Energon capsules, and relayed their location to his sister.

Jazz smiled back to them. ~"As promised, and if you need more, let me know and I'll bring you more."~ He then pulled out one of the capsules and offered it to them. Each one was enough to fill the Energon tanks for both avians, given their size, so 6 of them would last for a while and were small enough that each of them could carry one in each talon if they had to move.

Munin reached out to grab the capsule from Jazz, her siphoning tube taking what she needed to fill her tank the rest of the way before passing it to Hugin. ~"These should last us a long while."~ Hugin stated as he filled his tank. ~"We learned how to be very efficient with what we had."~

Jazz nodded at that. ~"I figured as much. But this is the least I could do to repay you guys for helping me..."~ he lowered his gaze slightly, his voice softening a bit. ~"I just wish I could do more... to atone for what happened to all your kind... to all the mechaminals..."~ he added. He simply couldn't shake the guilt, but he held out hope that with two raptobots on Earth that maybe a lot more mechanimals had survived the war despite the Decepticons' worst destructive efforts to eradicate every living thing on Cybertron. ~"But you survived, others had to have survived too..."~ he offered, looking to them again.

~"One bot alone cannot atone for what this war has done to our kind."~ Munin responded. ~"And as we have told you, it is our duty to help you. We needed no payment in return."~
Hugin shook his head at Jazz's comment about others surviving. ~"Our old flight is dead. All were killed either in the air, or shot down and tormented. We do not know if others escaped."~

~"We can't give up all hope."~ he replied. ~"We give up on that, on each other, then they win. We just can't do that, we can't let them win."~ There was a level of urgency in his voice as if there was so much more at stake, which to Jazz, there was. To give up hope to him was the same as dying, and he could not bear the thought of going through that ever again.

"We never said to give up hope." Hugin replied. "Only what was known to be true." The avian shook his head. "Our flight is gone. That does not mean there could be others who survived."
