Rper: MapleH07 (Maple)
Character type: Permanent
Name: Skywarp
Nicknames: 'Warp, Warpy, Dumbaft (This one is not advised)
Gender Identity: Masculine
Approx age: Same age as Starscream and Thundercracker, Pre War, younger than Optimus and older than Jazz
Alliance: Decepticon
Function/Job: Member of the Elite Seeker Trine, attempted Scientist in his spare time. This has about as much success as Wheeljack. Possibly less.
Height: 30 feet tall
Approx mass: 19.5 metric tons
Cybertronian type: Normal Cybertronian
Personality: That depends on the mood that you catch him in. Most of the time Skywarp isn't too bright, so requires supervision and a direction to go in if he's going to be even remotely capable. If the transwarp device was in capable hands, the Autobots might need to be worried, but luckily it's been given to the black and purple Seeker, who usually just uses it for immature pranks on both friend and foe. He takes a charmingly puerile angle at thuggery, so his pranks are well-received amongst his Decepticon peers. Except for the victim. And his Seeker trinemates.
There are occasions, though, where Skywarp can prove to be quite competent. The immature and childish outer layer is simply a mask for something darker. Given the situation, he's more than capable of taking someone apart (maybe not putting them back together again) and often delights in doing so to the point of what could be considered a psychotic demeanor. He's a pretty big fan of explosives too, especially when he is permitted to go all out on something, even if it's something small.
His reasoning for joining the Decepticon cause is mainly loyalty to his trine. And, understandably, a fear of Megatron. Better to keep him happy than make him mad.
Appearance:
Alt mode: F-15 Strike Eagle
Holoform: Skywarp does not currently possess a holoform, due to him finding it pointless, and also finding it far more entertaining to frighten human beings with the fact that he's an aircraft moving by himself.
Weapons: Skywarp possesses a null ray and a rocket launcher in robot form, and a gatling gun and various types of missiles and bombs in his jet form.
Abilities: Transwarp Device - This allows Skywarp to teleport to random places in a flash of purple. He cannot use it consecutively, though, as it can overheat and take some time to cool down depending on how many times he used it. Nor can he use it at a great distance, like from Earth to the moon for example.
Strengths: Skywarp is very good at stealth, thanks to his ability. He's a light-footed attacker who can sneak up from nowhere and hit you from behind, as well as adequate at long distance and aerial combat. He knows enough to work out weak areas in a Cybertronian, and is quite capable at exploiting them. He's also good at pushing people down stairs.
Weaknesses: Skywarp's not too bright. He needs a direction and, more often than not, supervision to get his tasks done, which is why he's usually found sticking around his trinemates. If an Autobot wises up to his tricks, he can easily be outsmarted and sent packing. He's got a habit of flying in without thinking, which can get him into a few tight spots that he'll no doubt need assistance to get out of. He's also not very good at lying, which can conflict with things like pushing people down stairs.
Family: Unknown. Considers Starscream and Thundercracker to be his brothers, at the very least, as a member of the Elite Seeker Trine.
History: Before the War, Skywarp did what he did best - played tricks on people and teleported around surprising everyone, and occasionally paying the price for it. When strange aliens invaded their home planet, Skywarp joined his trinemates in the effort to stop them, with Megatron declaring war on the invaders, and anyone aiming to harm Cybertron and its citizens. Skywarp never learned the reason as to why Optimus and his followers turned against them - he'd found a strange joy in blasting things apart, and this was just another excuse. So he stuck with his trine and made his way through the war.
The seriousness of losing the AllSpark didn't get to him very quickly either. It was only after he stuck around when Megatron left to pursue it that he realized Cybertron was dying because of Prime's treachery, and that made him worse. He had more anger to take out on the Autobots, half of the time neglecting to finish them off completely to let them die in agony because there were always more that he could find and destroy.
Whilst Thundercracker may have started to question the Decepticon cause, Starscream did not, and neither did Skywarp. The Autobots were responsible for their dying home planet, and the AllSpark's destruction as he later learned, and they would pay in whatever way he could make them. Both he and his blue colored trinemate made the long journey to Earth, getting up to speed with recent events, contacting Starscream, and eventually reporting directly to Megatron.
But not before they chased a certain Chickenbot.
