Jazz groaned and laid back as they gingerly shifted him onto the stretcher, but his hand wouldn't let go of Red Alert's arm. He desperately needed that anchor to hold him in the hear and now, needed his brother's comforting presence. "Red... don't let go... don't let me die..." he murmured, a twinge of fear in his voice, something no one was used to hearing in the happy-go-lucky silver mech. It was Spark wrenching, to say the least. Jazz finally opened his optics again and looked over at Optimus, relieved to see his leader and long time friend was okay, though he looked a bit different, and next to him, the one who apparently found Jazz and saved his life. He owed the young mech a huge debt and Jazz was not one who let debts go unpaid for long if he could help it.

Between Jolt, Charter, Red Alert, and himself, they were able to ease Jazz onto the stretcher without stressing his already horribly damaged chassis and the tentative preliminary repairs further, and once they had Jazz on the stretcher, Wheeljack took up position at one side of the foot, leaving the other side for Red Alert and the head end for Charter and Jolt since Charter was still connected to Jazz' neural system and Jolt was linked up through Jazz' Sparkling chamber providing life support for the time being. "When yer all ready, let's get our mech back ta base." he offered them, knowing Optimus would follow right behind with the young Wavelength in tow. He looked at Red Alert then, and saw the tight grip Jazz had on his arm, letting out a sympathetic sigh. "I got the foot end, you guys look after that end n keep him calm." he suggested, figuring Jazz was not likely to let go of Red's arm any tine soon.

Jolt nodded, moving to very carefully disconnect from Jazz, enough had been transfered to keep Jazz stable for the time being, it would take only a few moments to get Jazz to the med bay to get him hooked up to proper equipment so the real healing could begin. He moved to take hold of both sides of the stretcher head, looking over to Charter "Keep connected to him for now, I'll handle the top of the stretcher." he told the taller mech. A small time without more energy and nanobots being added into Jazz's system wouldn't do any harm, even a moment without someone to help keep his processor straight, however, could be dangerous for the time being, though the blue medic figured that being in familiar company and recovering may, hopefully, put Jazz's mind at ease. Considering Ratchet's bedside manner being so gruff, however, Jolt decided he was going to be sleeping in the med bay for the duration of Jazz's recovery, so that Jazz was spared from Ratchet's grumpiness when he had to be awakened, at least a small something to make recovery a bit less stressful for the silver bot.
"Alright, lift when ready, we'll follow your lead through Wheeljack." Jolt said to the white and blue inventor, ready to lift Jazz's stretcher in time with the other two so the short journey would be as smooth as it could be. Jolt then glanced over to where Optimus was "Sir? Think you can help the little one there and get him resting on a berth so he can recover? I'll do a full scan on him once Jazz is all set up." he asked of their leader.

"I. . .I'll be alright." Wavelength said, he did need rest, he knew he needed rest, but nothing was too bad off. He gave a small wave, smiling a bit when he saw Jazz looking their direction, though his smile was hidden by his lower face mask. Silver, that was a pretty color, scattered the light rather nicely, Wavelength just watched Jazz for a moment, now that the situation wasn't nearly as tense or rushed, he could actually allow himself to notice Jazz's paint job, the metallic flecks in it causing light to scatter one way while the smooth finish made the light scatter in a different way, the color meaning it reflected almost every color wave length from it, it was quite a display. It was then he realized his staring could likely be a little bit on the creepy side and he looked down. Water, water and that vortex for the ground bridge, reflected, and created in the latter's case, light too, it wasn't as showy, well the vortex was a bit, but, it'd stop him from staring at Jazz.

Inwardly Moonsweep nodded to himself. He had just gotten the verification he needed. "All things in place..." he murmured quietly to himself, quiet enough that none of the group below would hear him even if they were trying to listen. His frame shuddered a moment, his energy levels reaching dangerously low levels. He could stay no longer, but at this point he didn't need to. He knew all he needed to learn from this event, all had gone accordingly, there was nothing left for him there. It seemed almost as if the exact timing had been planned, and who was to say it wasn't? But the truth or falsehood of the idea was unimportant, either way it would not effect the chain of events, the flow and pattern of things that had passed and things that were still to come. Finally turning away from the group he took off in the opposite direction, the dark figure streaking across the sky only visible as brief glimpses where the clouds thinned or parted to anyone who happened to be looking. He would now need to find a place to rest and recover what energy had been used. Though nightfall was soon approaching, the time where he was strongest and best hidden. If all went well he would not need to rest for long and would recover more fully during the daytime tomorrow.

Charter looked at Red Alert, noting the grip Jazz had on his arm, the unwillingness to let go. In a way he was relieved and thankful that Red Alert was there to comfort Jazz and help him to pull through this, but at the same time he was oddly frustrated. He wanted to be able to help more. Even directly connected to Jazz's processor he didn't seem to help as much as Red Alert was now. As strange as it was that actually seemed to hurt him a bit inside, and the tone in Jazz's voice only served to worsen it a bit and he pushed more soothing sensations through the neural interface, determined to keep Jazz calm and not allow the negative emotions to seep through to him. He pushed the feeling back, burying it so deep that even he became unaware of it's presence. It was not something that would help the current situation, nor did Charter consider it something to dwell on, especially in these circumstances. He looked at Jolt, nodding to the instructions and preparing to move with the others.

Optimus glanced at Jolt and nodded,"I can Jolt." He assured the young mech waiting for the others to go through but he glanced at Wavelength. He was a tough mech that was for sure, but he knew that even if he was recovered from earlier there was still some room that rest could help him further. "Rest will still do you some good Wavelength." He said kindly but gave one more quick glance around the area, though he thought her saw a dark streak in the sky though it was gone as soon as he saw it. For now Optimus pushed the thought of someone watching them back and glanced back at the others.

"I won't leave you, Jazz." Red Alert replied reassuringly. "None of us are going to leave you." He gave a nod at Wheeljack, he could tell that Jazz wasn't going to be releasing his forearm any time soon, and spared a glance at Charter. What the tall psychiatrist had been doing had not completely escaped the Security Director's notice, and he sent a brief comm. <"Thank you."> Whenever the others began to move, Red Alert would be ready to move as well. He placed one hand on Jazz's again, gently rubbing it. He also did a minor remote patch into the security system, just so he could keep an optic on the more major parts of the system. He still, after all, had a job to do.

As Charter soothed him directly through the neural link, Jazz let out a long, deep sigh and closed his optics, feeling himself settle into the stretcher. He reached out to that sensation, curious as to where it was coming from and found Charter there, holding him. Inwardly Jazz blinked in surprise as he looked at the tall lean mech. He had only known Charter in passing back on Cybertron, though both worked in their own ways to keep everyone from falling to the stress of the war. /~"Ch... Charter? When did you get here? To Earth I mean. N how are you inside... oh... wait... neural link, isn't it..."~\ He smiled a bit at Charter then and leaned against him. /~"Thanks for being here."~\ he offered and just settled there, aware both internally and externally what was going on now. He had to wonder though, just what Charter had seen since connecting to his neural core, more than a little apprehensive that the psychologist has actually seen the nightmares. He didn't want anyone seeing those, not even Red Alert. He feared their reaction to them, feared what they would say, afraid they would never trust him or would lose confidence in his ability to handle things like he used to. He had actually died, and because of that, Jazz felt diminished, like he had to prove himself all over again as if he were little more than a Sparkling just grown into his adult form. Outwardly he opened his optics, looking up at Red Alert as Wheeljack gave the signal to lift Jazz and they started moving towards the ground bridge. <~"You still believe in me, don't you, Red?"~> he asked hesitantly once he found his com systems again. There was uncertainty in his voice then, afraid his dearest and closest friend had lost faith in him.

Wheeljack gave the signal and lifted the foot of the stretcher with Jolt's help at the other end. He then started forward slowly so they would not jostle the silver mech as they headed through the ground bridge. "First stop, Ground Bridge Control, then straight to the Med Bay next door. I ain't stopping til we get Jazz on a medical berth and hooked up to life support. Then it's repair time." and with that he crossed trough the ground bridge vortex and headed straight through, and once he was sure everyone was through he moved forward again and through the connecting door directly opposite the ground bridge control console and into the medical bay where he headed straight for a life support berth with the machine above housing a full supply of Energon, vital fluids, dormant nano repair cells ready to be activated, and pain suppressors all ready to be deployed through the umbilical that hung from the bottom of it.
Once they reached the berth, Wheeljack set the edge of the stretcher on the berth and quickly moved to the other side of the berth and helped to ease Jazz over so he would be more comfortable and the stretcher could be moved out of the way. "Now it's repair time." he said softly and reached up for the life support umbilical. "Jolt, your hands are smaller than mine and can get this in there without hurting him. I'll open his Sparkling chamber, you plug it in and get started on this upper section while I get this thing started up and start working farther down. We'll meet in the middle." he said and handed Jolt the heavy cable before he very carefully eased Jazz' Sparkling chamber open. They would have to repair the hole in the bottom and having the cable going in through there would impede that, so putting it in through where the chamber was designed to open was the best option. As soon as Jolt had it connected, Wheeljack followed through with what he said he would do and started working on the repairs, carefully cleaning out all the debris and rust he found as he went. "Hey Red, you think you can help clean off some of this debris he picked up while we work on the repairs?" he suggested, hoping it would give Red Alert something to do beyond worrying about Jazz, plus it would let the security bot stay close and help keep Jazz calm along with whatever Charter was doing internally.

Jolt nodded, to Wheeljack "Just what I was thinking." he said, moving to connect the line to Jazz's frame before moving to pull a cart full of tools towards him so it was all within arm's reach. He moved to administer a little more pain meds so Jazz wouldn't feel too much pain as they repaired him. "Don't worry Jazz, we'll take care of you, things can only get better from here after all." the blue medic said, beginning to clean away rust and debris so he'd have a clean working area and to avoid any foreign items getting stuck in Jazz's systems before he reached under the berth, pulling out materials that would be needed to replace the armor that was too damaged and rusted through to simply heal "Jazz, I'll leave this up to you, would you rather be awake during the repairs with just pain inhibitors so you don't feel the pain or would you rather be sedated so you don't have to see and hear the process. It's up to you which you're more comfortable with, I know some prefer being awake and others don't." he asked the silver mech on the berth, not planning on knocking him out unless that's what Jazz rathered.

"Yea, I. . .I guess a little rest won't hurt anything but, I can't be MIA too long, a smaller bot like me, well I try not to get on the other Decepticon's bad sides when I can help it, rather not have to fight." the small mech said, trying to get his legs to support him. He knew what he needed to do, had a feeling that this one action would go far to help those he loved in the long run {It's amazing isn't it? How one simple action can set so much in motion, cause and effect don't even begin to explain it, it is more of a chain reaction and, if I'm lucky, this will set the chain in motion, hopefully to the long term end I. . .we all need.} he though to himself as he saw the others moving towards the ground bridge vortex. The young mech smiled just ever so slightly, looking up at Prime "You know, from what I'm seeing, you Autobots aren't nearly as bad as most of the Decepticons make you out to be."

<"Don't worry about it."> Charter sent to Red Alert as they began to move, carefully moving with the group to ensure he stayed connected to Jazz while not causing any sort of discomfort in the process. Inwardly he looked down at the smaller silver mech as Jazz addressed him, holding slightly tighter in a comforting way and smiling at him with the kind and gentle smile he normally wore around the Autobots. /~"Yes, I needed to use a neural interface to help you stay calm. As for when I got here... There is quite a bit to go over, but that can wait until you are recovered and ready. There is no rush, I'm sure you're still in quite a bit of shock."~\ His smile grew slightly as Jazz thanked him. /~"I'm glad I could be here for you, Jazz, and I'll stay with you here for as long as you need."~\ In all truth he was a bit worried about Jazz. He'd seen that nightmare that he had been reliving and he knew the memory of it would be painful, damaging even if he let it get to him. He could only hope Jazz would seek help before it got that bad. Primus knows Charter would be more than willing to help but unless Jazz was willing to accept that help there wasn't much he could do.

Time: About 5:10ish pm 15 miles away from DC NEST base August 15th, 2027 (Joining Shattered Soul)
Dinner time, one of Cira’s favorite times of the day! Cira was at a random Village Inn chowing down on a large chicken fried steak. It was just a typical day, doing some flight instruction and then chilling with KITT, enjoying the night life a bit. She loved her jobs, they paid well and she got her hands on some awesome tech!
Everything was normal about today, it seriously was. After making a good dent on her plate and eating most of the main course itself, Cira received a random alert from KITT via text, her phone made a quiet "bleep". She always had an earwig in one ear, even when she was flying so she could stay in touch with him. Using her phone in more densely populated places definitely made her look less weird when talking to the AI vehicle.
Her phone vibrated once. Glancing at the name on the screen, she sighed. {“While I’m eatin’ again? Really homie? Gah…”}[/i][/color] She took another bite and soon enough the phone vibrated again. Must be urgent. Swallowing her bite, she looked at her black Android and read the texts. -“I have detected very weak unidentifiable signal activity at the DC base. The nature of the signal is not known but it is definitely Autobot. I have been tracking Autobot activity since and there has been some movement within the DC base while you have been eating. There have been other signal transmissions since, signals that I am unfamiliar with.”-
It had taken her a while to get used to actually driving KITT on her own, for people always did double takes when they saw KITT’s scanner or caught sight of him in one of his transformation sequences. Hey, at least people knew about Autobots for the most part, that allowed for less surprise and less undercover work. Cira didn’t do stealth well, she preferred being able to work in plain sight where practical.
-“Do ya wanna find out what’s up? We can speed over there.”-
-“It depends on your priorities. It could be something we do not want to miss.”- As KITT was parked outside, he was trying to gain satellite access to the base so he could triangulate the signals and see what was going on, but unfortunately lots of cloud cover was in the way today.
-“Well ya know how curious I am. I can sacrifice part of dis meal for something that important. Suppose it couldn’t hurt to try and investigate.”- Cira texted back while taking one more bite in a hurry, following it up with a big swig of Dr.Pepper. -“Good, I already have clearance for a ground bridge from Ironhide.”- Cira glanced at the next message as she left a wad of cash totaling a tip and the sum of the dinner, and excused herself from the restaurant quickly.
Zipping out of the parking lot in a prompt manner, they quickly accessed the ground bridge and got a direct transfer to the base.
((This allows for a less sudden change IC, of course. Originally I had more already written in the sample but this will do anyway :3))

Optimus watched as the others entered the ground bridge, waiting before he helped Wavelength through to the ground bridge control room, though he looked at the mech a slight smile. “We all have our thoughts at how each faction acts Wavelength, but that does not mean they are all true. You are an example of that for what you did today and what we are doing now, helping each other liking old friends.” He replied but sadness showed in his dark blue optics.”Unfortunately that time is rare in this war, a young mech like you can still learn that there is more to life then fighting a senseless fight. Countless generations have been lost, so much has been sacrificed.”
As Optimus finished saying this they had entered the med bay and the Prime helped the smaller to a berth where he could rest and lied him down. Glancing towards the others as they helped Jazz he let out a soft sigh,”It doesn’t have to always be this way of being enemies. We just need a miracle like this to turn the tides and find a way for our race to be at peace at last, or we face a future to where we will perish.” He said.
