Basically, no god-modding, autohitting, taking in character out of character, killing a character without player consent, all that. Basically, don't be a dick.
But since, for some odd reason, some people need it spelled out for them, I guess I'll have to lengthen this post.
A-1: Do not automatically land a hit/force someone's character to do something/etc without the consent of that character's player, leave it up to them to react/dodge/etc.
A-2: Do not god-mod, yes, this site will have giant fighting robots, techno-organics, humans and other oddities may be considered on a case by case basis, but that does NOT mean you can go dodging every single attack while doing the tango. Even Optimus Prime got his ass killed at one point, he got better but still! Know the limitations of the kind of character you're playing, know their strengths and give them realistic, balancing weaknesses, they may be Cybertronians/hybrids/skilled but they are not gods.
A-3: In character is in character, out of character is out of character. A character who's a complete ass may have the sweetest player behind them, so don't take what happens in character personally, it's plot, it's story, bad things happen, roll with it. Also, do not have your character be an ass to someone else's because you're mad at them. IC and OOC should NEVER influence each other, period!
A-4: Don't kill a player character without that player's consent, this should go without saying. Yes, deaths DO happen in a serious role play, no character is truly safe from death, not even canons, but don't kill a character just for the sake of killing them, people put work into their characters, to just kill them on a whim because you felt like it simply will not fly. NPCs are included in this.
A-5: Keep any adult RP low key, please. It's possible to allude to the horizontal mambo going down without having to get all graphic and x-rated in the forums. Simple 'fade to black' or alluding to the occurrence will do just fine thank you. If you simply must role play it out, then take it to a private avenue, IM clients are quite useful for such things.
A-6: Swearing? I don't give a damned, don't be a complete ass about it though. Some people swear a lot, some characters swear a lot, its life, just don't abuse the privilege. Let's just say that if the mods/admin of this site finds it offensive, then you REALLY must be going overboard.
A-7: Spamming, insulting other players, sexist/racist/discriminatory behavior is not welcomed here and will not be tolerated, if you have a problem with that then let us know so we can promptly show you the door before sending you through it.
A-8: Do not go to only one admin when something important needs to be cleared. If an issue is something that would be far reaching/effect others/change the rules/etc then it must be cleared by all admin of the site. Favoritism and playing admin against each other will not be tolerated. Don't think we won't find out, we live in the same area.
A-9: Staff is here to help you, don't piss us off or else you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot.
A-10: If you have a problem with someone's character, bring it up with them first. Talking behind other's backs will get you promptly kneehauled. Coming to staff with a prejudice/misconception of someone else's character gets, honestly, frickin' annoying so save it for a last resort.
Character Creation
B-1: Each member is allowed 2 Techno Organic character slots and no more. If a player does not wish to have any Techno Organic characters or only wishes to have one these slots can be traded for additional canon slots but canon slots cannot be traded for Techno Organic slots to keep the number of Techno Organics from getting out of hand. Before making a Techno Organic one must first have an active human or Cybertronian character. Due to the established timeline Techno Organic characters must be 18 years old or younger by the starting year of the site timeline unless there is a really good and PLAUSABLE reason for them to be older. Any Techno Organic made must also have a parent (living or deceased dependent upon background) and the living parents must be played/planned to be played on site either by the Techno Organic player or another who it was cleared with previously.
B-2: Each member is also allowed 3 canon slots. This applies to canons from any allowed Transformers continuity. One or both Techno Organic slots can be exchanged for additional canon slots and up to 2 additional slots may be purchased for $5000 site cash (which is earned through posting and gained reputation).
B-3: Canon symbiotes, such as Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Steeljaw, etc, do not take up your given, or purchased, canon slots due to them being attached to a main canon. However, be reasonable with the number you decide to make. Others may want to play them.
EDIT 23 Nov 13: Due to the slow pace of the site, and current members have not caused any issues in regards to this, the cannon slot rules have been temporarily redacted. However, should this prove to be a problem, the site cash system will be reinstated. Staff and helpers still have the final say in regards to players having multiple cannon characters. All other rules in this section still apply.
B-4: Each member is allowed one "Power" Canon per faction, i.e. Autobots, Decepticons, NEST, etc. "Power" Canons are, as the name implies, canons in a position of power. Officers of both Cybertronian armies are power canons. High-ranking government officials and NEST members are human power canons. Edit 23 Nov 13: Under certain circumstances, staff (admin) may overrule.
B-5: Each member is allowed 1 organic looking "beast type" character be they Techno Organic or Pretender. This does not include humanoid Pretenders or Techno Organics.
B-6: Each member is allowed one permanent character Pretender and an additional NPC Pretender at one time.
B-7: NO new Primes are allowed. NO exceptions. Let's face it, if everyone had a Prime they would be nothing special. Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus are the only Primes.
B-8: Characters from other franchises are allowed so long as you can plausibly fit them into the RP. However, alien species aside from Cybertronians are not allowed.
B-9: NPCs must complete a minimum of three threads before being killed off. However, one can be used for more than three threads if so wished/a logical or good way of them being killed off does not present itself.
B-10: Some canons are not allowed on site to avoid godmodding/power playing. That list can be found here: Forbidden Canon Characters
Roleplay Procedure
C-1: To avoid overburdening players, a ten (10) thread limit per player will be in effect with an additional 1 per character (Once the player has hit their limit of 10, they are allotted one thread per each character not already in a thread) for those who have beyond 10 characters active to avoid characters being out of play for long periods of time. What this means is you must balance out your characters vs threads to have those you enjoy playing more active. Threads with multiple characters controlled by the same player still count as one thread. This is not meant to limit one's interaction but to avoid one person fighting to keep up with 50+ whatever threads.
C-2: An exception can be made for characters being called into other threads by characters, though this is limited to three 'call in exemptions' per player. Before a character is called in it MUST be cleared by the player of the character who will be called into the thread.
C-3: A posting order needs to be kept up, exceptions can be made if a player says to skip their character's round that time, however do try to keep replies in order. It makes everything flow better. If you have multiple characters in a single thread, try to keep their replies together to avoid spreading out your posting times when possible. You MAY switch up the order of your character's replies if they are blocked together as you see fit.
C-4: If it is agreed by all within a thread, posting orders can be shuffled, but it must be agreed upon by ALL currently involved in the thread, NO EXCEPTIONS. It's called being considerate, use it.
C-5: If you autohit because the one your character is aiming at is farther in posting order or whatever little excuse you may try to use to get a free hit and be a jackass you WILL be punted. Hard. With a steel toe, spiked boot. Unless you clear the hit with that character's player PRIOR to posting. (Small detail there)
C-6: Keep up with posting, shit does happen yes, and this is WHY we have the thread limitations in place we do, considering the thread limitations keeping up shouldn't be too hard on you. If life decides to drop a load and a half on you though (which happens, we understand that) then at least post in the away board to let us know. As the least it'll stop us from worrying about you.
Other Random Shit
D-1: If a thread has hit a brick wall for reasons which you just cannot seem to remedy, a thread may be 'faded out'. To do so, all involved in the thread currently must agree to such and an overview of what occurred afterwards must be provided. Large plot threads cannot be faded out. If there are only two players and one wishes to fade it out while the other does not, staff input can be asked, so long as said staff is NOT one of the parties involved in that thread.
D-2: If you are, for whatever reason, going to be gone for a prolonged period of time that's fine but please do your best to post a notice in the "Leave of Absence" board so we know and so other people who you may be in threads with will know. Sometimes shit happens and you don't have prior notice, we get that, but at least a short message that you will be away would be beneficial to all.
