((November 18th, 2027//Time: 12:00pm//Location: Park))
Maddie rarely went wandering off when Mommy got some time off and they went to the park. However, a guy from one of Mommy's jobs had started talking with her and Mommy, being protective, told her that she needed to run off.
Mommy didn't want him to know about her, said he creeped her out and Maddie took such a thing to heart. So, with that Maddie had disappeared into the less 'playground' to 'picnic'. The wide open area gave the illusion of nature. Gave the illusion that one was not in the middle of a city. Maddie wandered through the picnic area until she got to a tree she could climb.
Setting her purple tennis shoed foot against the branch, her jeans protecting her from scratches, she reached up and grabbed onto the branch above. And with that, she began to climb, her long sleeved shirt riding up slightly with each pull until she was sitting in the tree comfortably, swinging her feet lightly as she stared out, eyeing the sky through the leaves of the tree.
It was a beautiful day, even if someone her Mommy had deemed creepy had ruined it.

Twister was out flying, trying to keep herself emotionally stable. Something wasn't right, and both her and Blackfire knew it. They could feel each others discontentment when apart. They were trying to avoid the Decepticons, staying low and as far away from Texas as possible. As of now, she found herself wandering in Nevada, revisiting a supposed old battle site.
Her wandering mind and eyes noticed the bright purple shoes hanging as she flew low for a while, not near close enough to the battle site, but finding herself drifting towards the shoes. When she got a closer look, she noticed a blond child in a tree. Twister was naturally a bit curious and couldn't resist trying to get a closer look.
She flew low over head before making a low reconnaissance circle over the area before dropping down nearby and activating her holoform behind some trees, then walking out into the park. Her holoform made a somewhat lonely sigh as she began to walk, feeling completely isolated.

Maddie peeked up through the leaves as the helicopter flew low. She threw up her arms to protect her eyes, but she eventually decided that getting a bit of dirt in her eye would be nothing to be worried about. There were plenty of water fountains around, plenty of places that she could get the dirt out if it happened, but it never did. After a time, the helicopter left and Maddie debated between swinging her way back down before she saw the woman entering the field.
Maddie tensed slightly and pulled her feet up into the tree nervously. She wrapped her arms around her knees, or moved to, only to waiver slightly. She immediately stopped and clung to the branch.
She stared at the woman, once her balance was reestablished and watched. It wouldn't have mattered if she spoke or not, Maddie mostly watched.
She seemed sad.
And sudden.
Maddie wasn't sure what, exactly, she was supposed to do, so she did the one thing she could do, besides scream as if someone was trying to murder her. "Hi," she greeted.

"Oh hello there, enjoying this nice day?" Twister's holoform greeted. She glanced up at the cute blonde girl as she crossed her path by the tree, her friendly golden eyes with hints of brown gazing up at her. Sure, she was a bit under the weather today despite it being so nice out, but with all the inner challenges she'd gone through recently, it could be expected. "Steady winds, light breeze, gotta love it. Good flying weather."
Another gentle breeze picked up, pushing back Trayla's dark hair with golden tips. Despite appearing in her 30s, she was a pretty woman, one with few wrinkles on her features, and had a figure that was in fine shape. The eyes had a lot to say, a lot to say that she wasn't saying aloud.

Maddie smiled brightly down at the woman, her eyes easy and warm upon seeing this new person, even if she was still wary of this woman. She leaned forward slightly, bracing herself carefully against the tree branch. Her fingers spread slightly against the bark and she resisted the urge to smile brighter at the chatter that came from the woman. "I guess. I've never been flying," she responded calmly, keeping to the tree.
While not the most polite thing in the world, she was going to keep to her tree. If someone had to waste the energy to climb up after her, or haul her down, would put her at an advantage.
She was smaller and faster. "And I am enjoying today," she answered, cautious and hesitant in her wording.
She would enjoy it better, of course, if her mommy could be here too, but that creepy guy was still around, so Maddie was content to sit in the tree and wait.
Unless of course the woman got weird.
Even if she reminded Maddie a bit of her mother.

"Maybe you can go flying some day. I think it is something everyone should experience. I say that though because it is my passion. My name's Trayla, what's yours?" Trayla rubbed the back of her neck shyly then, her holoform flickering faintly. It would take close observation to notice the flicker, but it had happened nonetheless. She hoped Madie had her parents nearby, she was still worried that at some point a Decepticon might find her and cause trouble. She didn't want a human getting in the fray of things if it were to happen.

Maddie considered, before she answered, "Maddie."
Her eyes narrowed slightly at the flicker, weighing her options, but ultimately deciding that she would not speak of the flicker, nor trust the woman below. As it was, even if she did remind Maddie of her mama, in manner if (definitely) not in looks. She considered the woman below her, swinging one purple shod foot slightly before she decided to speak again, though her eyes never left, even as another breeze tangled Maddie's hair more. "Why is the sky blue?" Maddie asked, even though she knew.
The sky was blue due to the reflection of the sun through the atmosphere, specifically of the water droplets held up there, and how they absorbed all other light, except blue, which they reflected.
Or something like that.
"And what is it like flying through the blue?" she added, wondering if these were good enough questions.
People who flickered were weird, and not in the good way.

Twister paused, trying to figure out how she should describe it to a little girl. "It's like...seeing the world from another dimension. It's well, special. And fun. Sometimes exhilarating, and others, relaxing. You have one more way of appreciating the beauty of this world more. Maybe you can try it sometime, some day." she replied. "Flying is what I do every day. But I do like walking around sometimes, fresh air is good for you."

Maddie nodded a bit and she crossed her arms slightly and she leaned forward to rest her chin on her arms, resisting the urge to smile down on the woman. She wasn't going to be coming down off her perch if she could help it and she resisted the urge to grin brighter at the strange woman. She shifted a bit and answered, "That sounds amazing."
She continued staring down at her, feet swinging slowly and in time to a waltz that was in her mind, before she took up humming the four beat tune without thought. She paused only long enough to add, "And I get out every day." She giggled a little and she scrubbed at her hair a bit before she settled more on the tree limb.
This was a comfy place.
Maybe mommy should have nick-named her kitten.

Trayla smiled a calm smile. "Well that's good. If I had a kid, I would try to get them out flying when I could. I think it's really great." she shrugged. "Though I don't, it's not a big deal. Not for everyone I guess. Always been more of the solo type, well with the exception of my partner I really." this partner was of course, not really a normal partner according to humans, but for Twister it sure was, they were very close after all as Autobot and symbiote.

Maddie stared, uncomprehending of the entire symbiote/Autobot relationship they had. She shifted a bit and leaned over slightly, locking her legs around the branch. She reaches out with her arm, wrapping it around the branch so she can get closer to Trayla. Not too close, of course, but closer and that is enough. She shifts her weight enough that she won't become suddenly unbalanced and, for the first time, the breeze causes her blonde hair to whip around into her face before she can push it back, the knots and gnarls feeling odd and rough against her fingertips. "You and your partner could adopt, you know," Maddie stated.
She then looked thoughtful and added, "At least, I think so. I have never looked it up before."
She then carefully pulled herself back up so she was sitting properly on the branch again. "My mommy works a lot and so does daddy," she stated, reminding herself that it is not a lie, to her knowledge.
Her mommy had told her that her father worked often, but attaching 'daddy' to a man who was never there sat like ashes on her tongue.
At least, that was how the expression went. She had never, actually, had ashes on her tongue before, but from the one time she had inhaled smoke from a wildfire, she could make a good guess.

"I suppose I could consider such a thing - though one step at a time, I'm getting over a somewhat uh...rough life. I want to make sure I can protect myself first." Twister paused for a moment, reminding herself she was talking to a human. A little one at that, but a human nonetheless. Of course, she also was fairly innocent as to how excellent these humans were at story telling. Twister didn't lack reason to trust Madie as much as she had reason to not trust her, so in a way, it seemed like a situation with an undetermined outcome to her, the equivalent of a "dice roll".
She rubbed the back of her neck, still uncertain as to what she and Blackfire were going to do with themselves after rejoining with the Autobots finally. She was afraid helicopter Decepticons who knew her would come after her still - though they had yet to after about two weeks. Still, there was always time for battle, and Twister knew to be ready at any time. Always vigilant. "My situation is rather...unique? Somewhat classified really." she huffed a sigh. "It's sort of like a pre-retirement stage. I don't really know what I'm going to do with myself yet."

Maddie stared at the woman, wondering what was wrong with her. And she didn't mean that in a bad way, but she couldn't think of anything else. She remembered the way her mommy would call the cops and stand up for people. About how, even though the guy creeped her out, she wouldn't do anything unless he tried something, because she believed that 'feelings' weren't enough to go off of. And she once said that, sometimes, the world wasn't a nice place and people did cruel and horrible things for no other reason then to do cruel and horrible things.
Maddie, naturally, understood that they were bad people. "I'm sorry. I don't know what it is, but I'm sorry anyway," Maddie answered and settled on the branch so she was lying on it, cheek resting on her intertwined hands, which cradled the branch.
However, at the rest of that, Maddie just grinned. "Mommy says the same thing whenever I ask about my father."
She then clamped her jaw shut tightly and pointedly looked away, chin resting on her fingers. She didn't know why she had said that. Not at all.

Trayla raised an eyebrow at that. "Hm, seems humans live interesting lives too." Even if they were drastically shorter than any average Cybertronian. Yet each tiny spark of life seemed full of color: personality, darkness, perseverance, all sorts of things rolled up in one. Though she hadn't been here long, she was getting a positive perspective of these humans. Some were skiddish and timid around her true form, but they sure had a right to feel that way. And others were amazed and almost envious, which she also found amusing. These humans were certainly a mixed bag of surprises!
Trayla shook her head as she thought about these things. If she told her what was on her mind, surely she would think she was crazy since she hesitated revealing herself. The helicopter had found a clearing to rest in off to their left but she wad set on staying put out of fear that she might cause trouble. "Maybe in time you will learn more about your dad. Perhaps they - your mother - think you are too young to understand."

Maggie stared down at at her, considering what she had said. There was a wisdom there that spoke of common sense that really shouldn't have existed. It spoke of someone who would just pat the 'good little children' on the head and sent them up to bed, ignoring the monster under the bed that the child tried to tell them about.
Maggie resisted the urge to pull a face and answered, "Children bounce. The best time to teach a child anything new is when they are young. This is why polyglots start young."
The simplicity of the statement was compounded by the fact that she had used a name that basically meant 'speaker of a bunch of languages'.
Grown-ups were so strange sometimes, always wondering what could be done or how to protect or how to keep things from children, as if children could not comprehend the big bad world. However, as Maggie saw it, while she could not even begin to fathom how large the world really was, she could understand parts of it and put the pieces together until she had a whole picture.
No matter how long it took.
"Besides, she has no reason to worry, unless she's always lied to me. In which case, it will be hard to believe her ever again. And then where will I be?" she continued, head twitching to the side as she looked down at the holoform.
Something about her still seemed off to Maggie.
She just wasn't sure what.
