Personality: Air Raid is a bit of a daredevil. Instead of firing from a distance, as preferred by many fliers, Air Raid will charge in as close as he can, open fire, then fly away. He lives for the thrill, especially when it is felt in the heat of battle. Though Fireflight holds the record for the most accidents, Air Raid is the most reckless one on the Aerialbot team.
Still, Air Raid is careful when selecting a target and his approach. He may not be the aerial tactician that Sky Dive is, but he knows enough to keep himself as much out of harm’s way as possible, and maximize the damage he can cause to the enemy. He loves nothing more than a good, close-quarters dogfight.
At the same time, Air Raid is protective of his brothers. All of them are protective of each other, this is true. Air Raid would not think twice before taking a hit meant for one of his brothers, or throwing himself at a persistent Decepticon. Being so reckless, Air Raid is one of the Aerialbots who is very familiar with the med bay.
Despite this, there seems to be something deeper to Air Raid’s willingness to throw himself into danger, though he does his best to hide it from everyone, even his siblings.
Alt Mode: black F-15 Eagle
Holoform/Human Form: Air Raid’s holoform is called Ryan, and is a young man in about his mid-20s with dark blue eyes and semi-long black hair pulled back in a short ponytail at the base of his head. His holoform usually wears jeans and a black t-shirt with a jacket tied around his waist.
Weapons: Lasers and missiles in jet mode, and a torque rifle in robot mode. He also has access to his torque rifle in jet mode, located in his nose cone.
Abilities: Can combine with the other Aerialbots to form Superion.
Strengths: Air Raid is extremely skilled in tight maneuvers, managing to fly dangerously close to his opponent, allowing him the chance for more close-range shots, and the ability to move away before a counter attack can be performed. He will also attempt to goad the enemy into chasing him, and try to get them to crash into something.
Weaknesses: Despite all of Air Raid’s maneuverability, he was definitely not built with speed in mind. He is quite capable of out-maneuvering just about any plane out there, but definitely not out fly. This also means that attempting to maneuver in speeds above what he is suited for can cause damage to his structure.
His natural, in-born claustrophobia and need to fly can be considered huge weaknesses against him as well.
Family: Brothers; Silverbolt (Gestalt commander), Air Raid, Slingshot, Sky Dive, & Superion. Carrier/surrogate father; Wheeljack.
History: Air Raid, along with his brother Aerialbots, were created and brought online to better combat the Decepticons in the air. Their Sparks were spawned one by one from the AllSpark, and carried by Wheeljack, shortly before the launch of the AllSpark into space, making them the last Autobots spawned by the AllSpark.
While on Cybertron, the Aerialbots were taught how to fight, on the ground as well as in the air, though the latter was left to a lot of trial and error, as the Autobots did not have a lot of aerial-frame bots to teach them.
During the battle on Earth, the Aerialbots stayed on Cybertron. Some time after Optimus’s message, however, they decided to leave, mostly to see if they could find Wheelack. During the journey, the team was separated and scattered, though they seem to be slowly making their way to Earth to regroup.
