"One can only aid those willing to receive that aid after all." she said, resting an arm across the back of the seat as she relaxed back a bit more "Yea, heh, I useta think it was natural selection, some being stronger, smarter, faster than others, but that was a very narrow way of thinkin'. I know better now. . ." she said, looking out the window for a moment, a heavy sigh coming from her as she seemed to stop acting like she was ready to fight at any moment and actually relaxing just a bit, her weight settling against the seat a bit more than it had when she was so tense. "Worse part of it, however, is the fact that, even when someone shows they are able to help, they'll still be ridiculed, it's a catch-22."

"Yea."Firelaunch though fell silent with not knowing what more to say as he drove for a little while following the way towards the address she needed to go. But through the traffic it was taking some time until he finally reached it. "Well here you are Vic, I'll be here when you get back."He said noting she seemed more relaxed then earlier. He hadn't realized she was so tense until then and guessed she was that way for a reason.

Vic nodded "Take jus' a moment." she said moving to get out, the box in hand. She walked up to the door, knocking on it before a blond woman answered and the redhead held the box out to her. The younger blond opened it, pulling out a large ruby pendant to be sure it was the right item before going inside. She shortly returned with an envelop which she handed to Vic, the redhead's second half of payment. With a nod and small wave Vic turned away and headed back towards Firelaunch's alt mode. "Gotta love clients who keep their words, onea my preferred customers this family." she said getting back in and closing the door. "I jus' needa stop by an autozone or something to get the transmission fluid I needa change out, prolly gonna get a room here for the night afterwards, two days, no sleep, yeeea, driving long distances like this would be a bad idea." she commented. Normally she'd risk it, but seeing as she needed to tend to her bike anyways, which meant more time awake and active, she really didn't want to do the whole driving three plus states until after she had some rest.

Firelaunch quietly observed where he had parked, wondering what had been important about a mineral, then again humans were odd like that. "Seem trustworthy enough I suppose."Firelaunch said and started to head away from the location heading towards the nearest place Vic could change the transmission fluid,"two days without sleep? Really exhausting yourself there." He said taking some time before he finally came to the nearest Autozone and pulled in."And here you go. That bike of your's needs fixing."He said.

"Not really, I have really bad insomnia, can go for three days sometimes, just rather not push it that hard to be honest." she said as they came near the auto place. "Be but a mere moment." she said getting out his alt mode and heading into the shop, she went right for what she needed, paid, and got out, heading towards Firelaunch once more. "A'right, now jus' need find a parking garage or hotel parking lot, or something where I can see to my bike, not too awful picky, so long as it works." she said moving to get back in. She was accepting help from someone who wasn't exactly human, but then again, would she have accepted the offer of help from a human even if it was just a simple ride? Likely not in all truth, but maybe ones like him could be trusted a little more, maybe, though time would tell.

"No problem, least you got an extra hand or two to help." Firelaunch said once she returned and backed out of the parking lot to head to a place Vic could look at her bike. The closest place he could find was a hotel which luckily when coming around back wasn't crowded and parked in a space away from others so Vic had room for the bike, cutting off his engine. "Here we are, closest place I could find, the least crowded." He said before Lance appeared just outside the driver side door again, this time Firelaunch having more energy conserved to use the holo-form for a while.

"It's really not that hard to do once it's on the ground, but help getting it there would be appreciated." she said setting the fluid down and moving to get the bike free "Buuut, I won't bitch bout havin' company for once." she commented with a smirk. "Sorry bout bein' a burden, jus', well, not often anyone offers help, especially not when I could actually use it."

Lance came around the back, lowering the tailgate and reaching for one side of the bike to get it down smiling a bit,"Not at all Vic, actually gives me a little break from going between two bases and well to relax. Besides not often you meet someone with a strange sense of humor."He said with chuckle. It was true he rarely met or talked with anyone during these times but he found it was a nice change so he wasn't going to complain, he had no reason to."So red head let's get this Goldwing of your's down and the fluid changed."

Vic had to chuckle a bit at that "I could only imagine how troublesome going back and forth like that could be, and having to keep ya head down to make sure ya not found out. Hell, prolly bout as tirin' as going from state to state for jobs and races if not moreso." she said as she got a good hold on the bike and started helping to lower it from the bed of Firelaunch's alt mode "Yea, needa check the tank too, just to be safe, but that's jus' me being overly protective of my bike."

"It is actually but keeps me on edge and alert, knowing for a fact I'm keeping alive for now. Though doesn't mean they will hav their suspicions." Lance said shrugging as they got her Goldwing down,"But that sounds tiring going around from state to state though that's you." He said once the bike was down and he closed the tailgate again. Lance though turned his head watching the area a moment but he didn't see anything out of the ordinary and relaxed a bit more, being a bit on edge.

Vic gave a small shrug at that "It can be tiring sometimes, but I get to see a lotta things, meet a lotta people, all that, so. . .I would hazard to say it's worth it all in all. Wish I could settle but, eh, they'll be plenty time for that when I'm old." she said with a chuckle. Once the bike was down she move to empty the transmission fluid from the goldwing before pulling a pin light out from her saddle bag to shine it into the reservoir to check the integrity of the tank. "Well, Imma havta change this tank out soon, it's got a lil bit of gunk building up, prolly only got 5 months left on it, safely." she said, giving a small sigh before removing the light and replacing the fluids. "Bein' on edge and alert is all well an' good, but ya know it's gonna stress ya in the long run, then again, ain't like I got room to talk." she said glancing up to Lance with a small, forced smirk before returning her focus to the bike.

"Suppose so, but seems you have quite a while before even then, I've noticed even humans older then you can still be quite active."Lance replied looking back at her though couldn't help but admit she was right about being stressed. Even a transformer like him could get over stressed and affected by it. "Think we're both stressed in the long run Vic, can't help it sometimes. But you do what you can to relieve it and when you can find the time to do so."He replied leaning against the tailgate a bit.

Vic had to smirk at that one "Yea, yea they can, my Mom's a prime example of an able, aged woman. Swear, she's 44 and still moves like she's 20, hellova shot with a rifle too." the redhead said with a small chuckle. Her mother was the decent part of her family, while her father was an abusive ass, Jessica, her mother, taught her how to live. The redhead didn't look it, nor did she really act it unless she had the down time, but the girl was raised country. Considering how much of her spare time was spent shooting at targets, deer, coyotes and poor saps that happened to trespass on her mother's land, it was slightly surprising she favored blades over guns, though her hidden blade was just that right now, hidden.
However, at Firelaunch's next statement, Vic just looked at him, an eyebrow raised. "Hun, ya don't even wanna know where my mind took that one." she said chuckling a little. She then move to begin doing a full check on her bike for any other small little issues that may be showing up, finding nothing else she cleaned the gunk that had begun building up from the goldwing. "But I get what ya mean. The road can be lonely sometimes, and goodness knows chances to get some pent up aggression out can be few and far between." she said standing and stepping over to where Firelaunch's holoform was, giving a small, slightly off center smile "Thanks for tha ride though man, I appreciate it." she said, trying not to check out his holoform, or his alt mode. Oh the curse of being a mechanic.

Firelaunch nodded before glancing around at the area a bit just to see if anything was going on though so far it seemed traffic was the only real action going on. "Huh, guess being careful of what I said wasn't working huh." He said with a smile, shrugging his shoulders in defeat as he looked back at Vic."And any time. Wasn't in a rush so a little detour wouldn't hurt." He said as he stood straight again though he avoided checking her out since he normally wasn't that type of mech,

Vic chuckled slightly "Nah, it's me bein' gutter minded as of late thats to blame." she said giving a small sigh and coming to just lightly lean against his alt mode, looking towards his holoform. "No place to go an' all day to get there eh? Ya needa give me a moment, needs get a room key, prolly gonna jus' crash here for the night and set out again tomorrow." she said moving to walk towards the office, her fingertips trailing just ever so slightly along the side of the alt mode for just a moment before she headed towards the office to rent a room. It was a small little thing she often did around vehicles, and one she did without realizing this time, but it was harmless enough, well, normally.
