Fireflight could only listen in awe as Wheeljack described the planet and its inhabitants, though he frowned a bit when Wheeljack spoke about some of the humans not liking them and how it hurt. He wanted to ask Wheeljack, but he could also tell that his father would rather not speak about it. He placed his hand over Wheeljack's gently, and gave a smile. "Maybe you can help me meet some of the humans who stay on base with us! I'd love to meet them!" He chirped, trying to steer the conversation away from what was obviously painful for Wheeljack.

Wheeljack smiled warmly at his young son then, giving Fireflight's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Sure, I don't see why not. Let's get these scans done to make sure you're alright, then we'll go meet some human friends." he answered and stepped around, bringing a bio scanner and setting it into position, beginning the scans carefully. "Just hold still, it won't take long." he assured Fireflight.

"Alright!" It was difficult for Fireflight to hold still, he was so excited now, but he held still as best he could while Wheeljack started the scans. His processor continued to race with questions, though he kept them quiet for now. He was very excited about being able to meet some of the humans, and see more of the base. He knew he'd want to stretch his wings and fly a bit later, but that could definitely wait. He was with his dad, and his brothers wouldn't be too far behind him.

Wheeljack went through the scans carefully, noting old scars from fights, some from his crashes when Wheeljack was still there and the young mech would get randomly distracted, some newer scars from after Wheeljack was forced to leave his dear sons behind. He also discovered that Fireflight was a bit low on Energon, not too bad, not starving, but low enough to be a bit of a concern for a worried and protective progenitor. "Good news is you seem to be okay, a little Energon depleted, but that's easy to fix." he said, stepping over as a wall slid out, revealing a storeage of Energon notes. He selected one and brought it over to Fireflight. "Here, this should help. I'm a bit concerned about all these new scars though..." he said as he traced one along the back of Fireflight's upper arm, the Energon storage wall retracting again. The room seemed so much like home, like Cybertron, here on Earth. Even the metals seemed familiar, like home.

Fireflight took the Energon node with a thanks, then looked at the scar Wheeljack was tracing, distracted by his mentioning of new scars. "Oh! There were some fights after you left. Nothing that was too difficult for us, though!" He gave his dad a reassuring smile, then looked over at the wall, having noticed its changing. "You were able to get metal from home?" He asked in wonder.

Wheeljack chuckled a bit. "Some, much of it absorbed into our own chassis from Earth alloys and reconfigured into these, some from the ships that carried us here. We've spent almost two Earth decades trying to bring something of Cybertron alive here, some piece of home to Earth. It's been a lot of work, but it's getting there, slowly, bit by bit." He tilted his head slightly then and laid a hand on Fireflight's shoulder. "C'mon, you need the Energon. Once you get that into you, then we can go meet some others, okay?" he urged, wanting his young Sparkling to ingest the needed Energon. He knew what would happen if Fireflight's Energon levels got too low, and he was not about to let the young Aerialbot get that low, that was for certain. "Don't make me give you a direct interface patch to your systems, Flight." he threatened playfully, knowing Fireflight would concede and draw the Energon into his systems.

"Eep!" Fireflight giggled a bit as he brought out the cable to draw the energon out of the node and attached it, grinning at Wheeljack as his systems took in the energon. "There was one fight that we helped with where we showed up and merged into Superion right away, and I think one of the Decepticons lubricated on himself when Superion charged! They all turned tail and fled!" He giggled again, remembering the battle.

Wheeljack chuckled and patted his adopted son's shoulder. "That's certainly a good thing then. I'm glad you stayed together and kept each other safe. I just wish I could have stayed with you, or at least brought you with me, all of you. I hated being forced to leave you behind... I hated it..." he said, then hugged Fireflight. "I'm so glad you're okay, n I hope your brothers come soon, I really do. I've missed you all so much. Tell your brothers I miss them with all my Spark." he added softly, tightening the hug.

"It's alright, dad." Fireflight replied, returning the hug. "They know already, 'n they miss you too. We all did. If we'd been able to catch you leaving, we would've followed, honest. 'N once we're all together, we're not gonna let anything separate us like that ever again."

Wheeljack tightened the hug in agreement. "Never again, I swear it on my Spark, I'll never leave my Sparklings again." he promised firmly, and even without a Spark Bond, Fireflight could tell that Wheeljack's promise was from his very core and that he had every intention of keeping that promise, even unto his own death. Wheeljack had been afraid they would hate him for leaving them, but with Fireflight there and his assurances everything would be alright, that the others understood, Wheeljack could finally let go of the pain at last. He smiled then as Fireflight finished draining the Energon node. "C'mon, let's go meet some of our human friends. you'll like some of the pilots, they love to fly, like you n your brothers do." he offered and stepped back, offering his hand to his young but very tall son once more.

Fireflight nodded in excitement, disconnecting the empty node from the cable and allowing the cable to retract before the armor panel that covered it slid back into place. "I think I like them already!" He chirped, setting the node down and sliding off the table, taking Wheeljack's hand and following him out of the lab, a slight skip in his step.

Wheeljack chuckled at Fireflight's exuberance, glad to see the young mech in such a good mood as he led Fireflight back out to the tarmac and towards where the humans kept their air craft. "Just watch where you step, humans are kinda small. Two of them could fit in your hand." he told the young mech, smiling reassuringly at him. "When your brothers get here, I'll introduce them to the human pilots too." His expression turned sincere as he looked at Fireflight. "And when they get here, I want to give each of them a hug and tell them in person that I'm sorry for leaving and how much I've missed them, including Superion." he told his young son. It was something he felt he had to do or his own Spark would not be at peace.

Fireflight grinned at Wheeljack, and slowed himself down a bit at Wheeljack's caution about watching his step. "Really? That is small!" His optics were wide with curiosity and wonder. He and his brothers were large compared to most ground frames, and Superion was immense, but he wasn't used to very small symbiotes. He'd seen a couple, but not many. "And do you want me to tell them, or keep it a surprise. Well, except for Superion. He knows already."

Wheeljack smiled at him. "You can tell them, but I will tell them myself anyway. I just need to tell them myself or I won't be able to sleep." he admitted softly. He then turned and looked into the young Aerialbot's optics. "I know you're in there, Superion, and I know you can hear me, at least in part. When the others come, I'd like to see you and tell you properly. I just... I hope you can forgive me..." he implored softly, then lowered his gaze. He still felt guilty for leaving them and it showed, making it clear that he wouldn't be able to rest or forgive himself until all his young Sparklings could hear it for themselves and forgive him in person.
Then he heard a familiar voice and a smile grew on his face. Ah, such a cheerful and energetic human, he had to admire her and her tenacity, that was for sure. Wheeljack turned then and searched for the source of that voice and spotted her checking her chopper. She was a civilian pilot and liaison between NEST and Knight Industries, the adoptive daughter of Mike Knight and Sara Graiman-Knight. "Hey Cira!" he called cheerfully. "I got someone you just need to meet!" he told her with a broad grin as he walked towards her. He liked Cira, she was a daredevil, but she was also careful. She had also seemed to befriend Jazz, which was a plus in everyone's book.
Jazz could certainly use all the friends and support he could get, especially after what had happened that left him dead and rusting at the bottom of Earth's ocean for twenty years, only to wake up in the midst of a nightmare. But his friends were there, they had heard his cry and came running to help the stricken mech, including Wheeljack. And they were determined to never let Jazz fall again. He was far too valuable to the Autobots, as Optimus' first lieutenant, the group's lead espionage and infiltrations expert, their friend, and the one who always kept them smiling no matter how bad it got. Losing Jazz had been a terrible blow to the Autobots, though not as bad as the two days Optimus lay dead until Sam found the Matrix and brought him back, but Sparks cried none the less when word got out that Jazz, dear happy and clever Jazz, had died. And as word spread of the silver mech's unexpected resurrection, those same Sparks cried out with joy and prayers to Primus that Jazz would be okay.
Wheeljack walked up and crouched down to be closer to Cira once he got within arms reach. He extended his hand to her to offer to let her climb up. "How ya doing Cira. One of your visits is always a treat. I think most bots wish you could stay though. I want you to meet someone very precious to me. One of six, actually." Once she had climbed into his hand he stood and turned towards the air frame standing there. "This is Fireflight, one of five brothers I carried and raised myself back on Cybertron, my son. He and his brothers combine to form and awaken a sixth mech, Superion. Fireflight is the first of them to find Earth, but the others will be here soon." He looked up at Fireflight. "Fireflight, this is Cira Knight, a good friend to the Autobots. She's a civilian pilot and liaison between NEST and Knight Industries, a family owned and run independent technologies corps specializing in fully integrated and self mobile learning Artificial Intelligence systems, one of whom comes to see us regularly, a black car named KITT." he informed his son and grinned at them both.

"Heya Wheeljack! Cira walked away from the small red helicopter she had been checking over after cool-down and placed her fits on her hips in a casual poise, her dark eyes sparkling briefly as she glanced up at the large mechs. KITT had followed from the ground, always seeking to tag along where he could, because he felt an even stronger connection to the Autobots than Cira did, even if at times he felt very alienated all the same.
"I'm doin' fantasical, thanks! You? Great flyin' weather today, and happy ta be here! Ya know I'm always willin' to meet more of you guys, an' honestly I do wish I could visit more, but y'know...don't want to risk abusing the rights I do have in place. Anyway," She waved a hand briefly in a 'onto the main subject' kind of manner. "Fireflight eh?" she let her eyes set on Fireflight, trying to meet his optics but probably struggling due to her size. "Nice ta meet ya!"
Cira accepted the offer of the "shoulder ride" and once she got a good hold with the help of his forearm, she clambered up the side of his arm to his shoulder, then balanced herself there with a fair bit of ease.
She studied his build, immediately catching onto the features that would undoubtedly indicate he could fly. The first Autobot flier she'd met, very cool! "So yer a flier, very cool." Cira commented with a grin - anything about flying perked her interest. "Can the others fly as well?" Cira then glanced to Wheeljack, her grin fading into a calm smile for a moment. This one, like a few of the others she'd seen, were easier to make eye contact with, especially when on their shoulders! "I didn't know you guys could combine yerselves to create new forms, that's hella bad ass. Hmm, KITT's not far away, he'd be very intrigued about Fireflight here an' the rest."
