((15 September 2027, Earth's Orbit, 0517 NEST Time)) A red and white Cybertronian jet made its way through the blackness of space to a blue and white marbled planet, orbited by a single moon. A message had come from the organic planet, originating from the leader of the jet's faction; the Autobots. Optimus had called for Autobots to journey to Earth, and Fireflight and his brothers had finally answered the call, only to be separated during their journey. {"Wheeljack, Silverbolt, Skydive, Slingshot, Air Raid...where are you all?"} He had a feeling that Wheeljack had gone to Earth, but couldn't be sure. The disappearance of the mech who was, for all intents and purposes, the father to him and his brothers, had shaken the five of them, especially when they had absolutely no way of knowing where he was or if he was alive. He was very much lost in his thoughts, making his way to Earth only through the fact that he had set his course already did he continue on his way.

Soundwave had been scanning for signals as usual when he picked up another incoming traveler and monitored the newcomer's approach towards Earth. He tilted his head a bit as he set a passive wide spectrum scan, gently enough that it would not normally be detected unless the mech in question was exceedingly paranoid like Red Alert. This one was new to him, though he had been apprised of the fact that the Autobots had been adding to their ranks lately, including a collection of five Seekers. With as vast as Soundwave's information network was, he didn't have all the information he needed, let alone wanted, and to be the best at what he did, having all the information he could get was a requirement. Thus Soundwave made a decision. With his signal deeply masked and his own resonance quieted, he silently maneuvered himself near the incoming mech's flight path well enough away from the planet below to leave his actions undetected and unhindered by anyone on the ground. He deployed his entire tendril array, but kept them coiled back behind him out of sight, waiting for the Autobot to get close enough to strike. Soundwave was eternally patient, and all things came to him in due time. As soon as the Autobot passed close enough, Soundwave would strike like lightning and redirect all forward momentum away from the Earth to give Soundwave time to subdue his prey and infiltrate the mech's neural network to not only isolate and freeze his communications, motor, and transformation functions, but to also to dig in and learn all he could about this newcomer to Earth and the Cybertronian War.

Fireflight slowed his speed, taking a bit of time to actually look at the planet he was heading towards. He transformed to his robot mode, shutting off his thruster so that he would drift, unaware of the danger he was slowly heading towards. He did not have much reason to suspect Soundwave was around. Growing up, Decepticons like Soundwave and Megatron had become akin to the Boogy Man for Fireflight and his brothers; stories always told, and believed, but never actually seeing them. {"I hope they made it to Earth all right, or are close behind..."} He knew his brothers were still online, he could feel them, but it was hard to tell where exactly they were. As for Wheeljack, it was impossible to know. He slowly drifted unknowingly into Soundwave's range, oblivious to the silent mech waiting to strike.

Soundwave silently drifted in behind the young mech, moving forward slowly before reaching out and grabbing the young mech tightly in his arms and tendrils. <~"Resistance: futile. Struggle: counterproductive."~> he sent over a secure link to the young mech, his deeply modulated voice resonating clearly as one of his tendrils reached up to plug into his captive's neural port, reaching in to shut down communications, transformation, and motor control simultaneously, tightening his grip on the younger yet larger mech. Once that was accomplished, Soundwave reached deep into the young mech's processor, scanning memories, data, seeking his identity, function, and alliance, and of all those he was connected to. Soundwave's hunger for information was insatiable, second only to his hunger for freedom.

The moment Fireflight felt himself get grabbed, he let out a surprised squawk and began struggling. The voice speaking over the comm did nothing to calm him, or lessen his struggles, not until he found his motor controls completely unresponsive. <~"Let me go!"~> His voice was full of fear, his thoughts scattered and erratic. Places and faces came and went, though the ones that kept returning were ones of importance. His four brothers Silverbolt, Skydive, Slingshot, and Air Raid. Their father Wheeljack. There was something else that kept stirring, but a large internal force seemed to position itself in a protective position over it.
<~"Stop! Get out! DAD! 'BOLT! 'DIVE! 'RAID! SLING!"~> Panic had taken quite a grip in Fireflight's processor, making him continue his attempts at struggling, despite them being useless. He went so far as to open the bond he shared with his brothers, calling out to them in panic and fear.

Soundwave chuckled inwardly as the young mech, Fireflight, panicked in his grasp. Ah, so he had discovered one of the five Autobot Seekers, how interesting, and they were brothers, bonded brothers, and Wheeljack was their progenitor? Feeling the bond open, Soundwave reached for it, though he only counted four connections, five brothers, yet no creation bond. He frowned in thought for a moment, remembering the Engineer's penchant for adopting lost young orphaned mechs. Six others had been killed by Decepticons, yet now Wheeljack had five more? He sensed the larger presence within and turned towards it, calling for its Designation and function, reaching for any information he could glean on this group of young Seekers. Were they perhaps a gestalt? It was certainly possible, there were others, and Soundwave had scanned the ones that were among the Decepticons. This presence seemed to fit such a configuration within this mech's processor, and his connection to the others.

Fireflight's resistance continued, trying even to push at Soundwave's presence to make him leave, continuing to call out for his brothers and father. The larger presence stepped forward more, determining that the invading presence of Soundwave was a threat.
{<"Decepticon harm Fireflight. Superion destroy Decepticon.">} Superion was not going to play games. Soundwave appeared to be a threat to his brothers, and so Superion was going to do everything in his power to eliminate the threat. His presence wasn't entirely there. A fifth, as his brothers were separated and individual. That wasn't about to deter him, however, as he moved closer to Soundwave within Fireflight's neural network, coming from the Spark bonds to his brothers, protecting them as well.

Inwardly, Soundwave tilted his head. Superion, so, this was the Gestalt presence after all. Interesting indeed. And it was highly protective. Superion seemed like a much stronger presence in Fireflight's consciousness than those of the Decepticon Gestalts, making Soundwave wonder if perhaps this one began as one and divided into five, instead of the other way around as it was with the ones he knew. Soundwave looked to the immense presence of Superion then, intent on calming the great mech and hopefully earn his confidence. /~"Superion stand down. Soundwave not harm brothers."~\ he offered in his usual deeply modulated electronic monotone. He then thought about his next statement before adding, /~"Soundwave seek information."~\ He then reached towards Superion, slowly, tentatively, somewhere between askance and offering.

Inwardly, Fireflight moved as close as he could to Superion's presence, seeking shelter with the gestalt consciousness. At the same time, Superion moved to shelter Fireflight from Soundwave, ready to try to push Soundwave out if need be. {<"Soundwave attack Fireflight. Superion defend brothers.">} Superion let out a growl when Soundwave reached forward towards him, making it clear that he did not trust Soundwave enough for that, though the fact that he had not attacked showed he would listen. {<"What information?">}

Soundwave considered the response for a moment, weighing his options. /~"Superion gestalt unlike Decepticon combiners. Decepticons many, artificial gestalt bonds, created combiners. Superion one, split into five."~\ he tilted his head then, letting Superion see that soundwave had a whole collection of symbiotes he protected, showing just how protective Soundwave was of them. /~"Soundwave seek information, know how gestalt became?"~\ he asked, hoping that seeing Soundwave with his own family might ease Superion's tension enough to be responsive and less hostile.

Superion bristled a bit at Soundwave's statements, clearly agitated as he gently coaxed Fireflight's consciousness to sleep. {<"Superion not different! Superion one made by five. Superion suggest Soundwave not pry in gestalt matters. Gestalt sacred. Gestalt together. Soundwave outsider.">} The combined conscious used gestalt terminology, referring to Soundwave as not a part of the gestalt. {<"Outsiders not understand. Outsiders not pry.">}
Fireflight continued to cling to Superion, though the coaxing calmed and relaxed him, his frame doing the same in Soundwave's grip.

/~"Soundwave understand bonds. Soundwave have family. Soundwave have symbiotes. Soundwave have gestalt."~\ he offered, hoping to keep Superion distracted as he prepared a hidden subroutine to be placed deep within Fireflight's subconscious, well away from potential discovery and set to trigger and extend through their gestalt bond to affect them all. It wasn't a hostile program, but effective none the less, and hopefully would ensure that his plans would be furthered once it was implemented. He waited though, preparing and perfecting the program within himself before he would try to install it, and in the mean time, gently and quietly probing Fireflight's neural core for optimum placement to keep it hidden and make it most effective on the entire gestalt group.
/~"Soundwave seek understanding."~\ he added, approaching Superion slowly, though he remained guarded as he did so, wary of a possible attack with how agitated the large mech seemed to be at the moment.

{<"Soundwave outsider.">} Superion stated once more. {<"Soundwave not Aerialbot. Only Aerialbots know Aerialbot gestalt secrets. Autobots not know Aerialbot secrets. Decepticons not know Aerialbot secrets. Soundwave be careful what he asks, or Superion turn Soundwave into road slag. Aerialbot secrets Aerialbot matters.">} He did not growl when Soundwave approached, though he did tense a bit defensively, taking a stand to defend the other bonds.

Soundwave tilted his head a bit, finishing the program protocols and reaching deeper with his stealth probes, finding the best spot to plant his contingency program. /~"Soundwave: ask for Superion's help."~\ he finally admitted softly. /~"Secrecy required. Soundwave's family: in danger."~\ he said sadly, turning away slightly. He looked over to Fireflight then, venting a soft sigh, then lowered his gaze again, hoping his passive posture would put them both at ease while the dormant program slipped into place in a hidden dark corner of Fireflight's neural core.

That seemed to reach Superion better than the prying. Superion himself had just known what it was like to have family in danger. {<"What help Soundwave need? Superion warn Soundwave, Soundwave try to hurt Aerialbots or Superion, Superion smash Soundwave.">} Even slightly placated, Superion was fiercely protective, and he kept Fireflight close.
Fireflight watched Soundwave, though his thoughts were not completely with him. Superion's presence was lulling him into a state of semi-recharge, similar to when they merged.
