Chad gave a smile, then his own human guise flickered before disappearing, and the nanoform beneath burst into a cloud as the Cobra transformed, much like Wheeljack had, and became a sixteen-foot mech. "No problem, Wheeljack. I'm glad I stopped to talk to him for a bit." He gave a smile and a nod. "I'll leave you two to your father-son bonding time. Comm me if you need me for anything." He turned to leave, deciding he was going to paint some of the scenes he'd though about.

Jared smiled and nodded happily when he was told he'd be allowed to keep the dollars left over in the purse. He'd always intended to give it back, but if his Dad was letting him keep the money, then he would spend it wisely, and only when he had to. He looked up as Chad, who surprisingly had also turned into a robot - maybe that was why he'd wanted to be gentle with the doors - turned to leave. "Thank you!" He called as the purple and gold mech went, figuring it was only polite to be grateful to the mech who had reunited him with his father. He then looked back at Jack, a curious expression on his face. //"Are there any other robots here? How many?"\\ He asked, knowing he'd need to get acquainted with them in case something happened.

Wheeljack nodded to Chasm as the young mech headed towards the door. "Thanks again, Chasm, I really mean that with all my Spark." He then turned his attention to Jared fully. //"Oh, there's a bunch of us here, and you, my son, have six big brothers."\\ he answered with a smile, and through the bond he showed Jared all five of the Aerialbots, with their names, then showed the five of them combining into one much larger quadruped mech with his designation shown as well. //"I have no Creation bond with them, though I wish I did. When the Allspark released their Sparks, I carried them one by one as if they were my very own. I protected their delicate pods, watched them hatch, cared for them and nurtured them. They are as much my sons as you are, Creation Bond or not."\\ He lowered his gaze then and sighed. //"I... was forced to leave them behind on Cybertron a long time ago. For the longest time I didn't even know if they still lived..."\\ he admitted sadly and hugged Jared close. //"There were six others I adopted and cared for as my own before them, but they... they're gone... Decepticons... killed them..."\\ he murmured as their faces flickered across the bond and faded again.

Jared's face instantly lit up in excitement. //"Six?"\\ He repeated eagerly, and his eyes widened as he received the images of the five robots that combined into one big robot. That was just incredible; he didn't even think there were types of the aliens that were living on Earth now that could do THAT sort of thing. He went quiet as his father's emotions turned sad, listening to how much Jack wanted to have the bond with them that he had with him. //"Is there any way you can make an artificial one? Or maybe a separate comm link just for you and them?"\\ He asked curiously. Hey, surely it wasn't impossible, right? Hopefully they had the technology to do so, and if they didn't, then there had to be some way of learning.

Wheeljack smiled softly at Jared. He was so innocent and so inquisitive, and he wanted so much to help in any way he could. Jared reminded Wheeljack a lot of himself when he was young, and that made his Spark flutter warmly. //"I dunno, maybe. I really wish I could find a way, somehow, but I'm afraid to say anything to them about it. I don't wanna get their hopes up and end up disappointing them when I can't make it happen. I don't wanna hurt my little ones, any of you."\\ he said softly, then turned and started heading down the corridor with Jared secure on his shoulder. //"Jared, would you wanna stay with me, here at the base?"\\ he asked suddenly as they headed down to where the Autobot's living quarters were. He hoped Jared would say yes, say that he wanted to stay with his father. Wheeljack certainly wanted him to stay, and he saw no reason not to have his youngest son there with him, especially with him being a Techno Organic. With how old Jared was now, his powers would start manifesting themselves soon, and Wheeljack had already missed so much of his development, he was not about to miss the rest of his son's growing up.

//"There has to be some way."\\ Jared muttered thoughtfully, considering the options. His Dad had a point; telling his big brothers too early might get their hopes up only for them to be crushed again, and that wasn't right, especially when in the memory of them he'd seen that looked younger than the others. He watched the corridor pass for a few moments, before his eyes lit up with excitement at his father's question. Stay at the base? //"I'd love to, Dad."\\ He replied eagerly, not wanting to miss a moment with his last remaining parent now. He just hoped he'd be allowed to stay here; guessing the whole 'giant alien robots' thing was a big secret, the Government might have some issues with him staying. Paperwork, no doubt.

Wheeljack smiled warmly at Jared's response. //"They can't argue with ya staying here now anyway, you're a Techno Organic, and any test we do would show that. We'd have to do a genetic test to prove I'm your dad though, but I don't think they'll argue much over letting me take care of you, especially the other Autobots. They know how precious Spark Bonds are, n they know that only Spark Bonds prove the truth, even if they can't scan for em normally. Optimus n the others would protect that n make sure you could stay with me."\\ he assured Jared then. //"I just needed to know if you wanted to stay with me or not."\\ He then headed down to his quarters, finally coming to a stop at one of the doors, an immense door to Jared's view. Wheeljack opened it and stepped inside, the lights activating automatically. It was a single room, proportionately modest, but with plenty of space for Wheeljack. "Welcome home, my son." he said out loud, a note of joy and pride in his voice. He looked to one of the walls and to Jared's surprise, a large berth folded down out of the wall, which Wheeljack walked over to and sat down on.

Jared nodded silently at the explanation. Deciding not to ask how this 'test' would be done until later on, he looked at the door they seemed to be heading towards curiously. Once it was open, his eyes widened as he took the room in. This must be his Dad's room, he realized. The lights came on automatically, which he thought was kind of cool. Sure, humans had them as well, but it seemed unusual here. He didn't know why, but it did. He jumped ever so slightly when Jack simply looked at the wall and a berth formed. Now THAT was definitely something humans didn't have. Maybe it was controlled wirelessly or something. Most likely, anyway. As his father sat down, he continued to look around the room, taking everything in. "It's perfect." He said with a smile.

Wheeljack smiled and set Jared on the berth so he could look around more easily. "A little piece of Cybertron on Earth. The Autobot's part of the base is like this, the rooms and walls react to our needs at the time, moving n shifting for us. The walls in here all move to reveal other rooms hidden away until I need em." and to demonstrate this, he looked over across from where they were and a section of wall slid forward, revealing a cleaning area where Wheeljack could wash dirt and grime off his chassis and polish his armor. "That's a cleaning station there, plus there's storage for tools and Energon, a mini work station, a TV so I can watch human videos, an audio system in here for music, even a computer terminal." he explained. "I even have a space I can make up just for you too." he said and a wall panel slid out next to the berth, empty and unused, ready to be put to good use and perfectly suited for Jared.

Jared instantly smiled at the empty space, knowing he'd have fun making that into his new room. He stayed sat on his father's shoulder though, not wanting to leave his side just yet, since they still had a lot to talk about, and many questions to ask and answer. He wished that his mother was here with them, feeling the empty space next to him, but he knew now that he wouldn't have to be alone again, and she wasn't necessarily gone. She was still in his heart, he knew, and still in his Dad's heart. Unless it wasn't a heart. It was possibly his version of a heart. Maybe he had one too; he could often feel a strange hum nxt to his natural beating heart, but he hadn't figured out what it was. Maybe now he would.

He willingly let Jared stay there on his shoulder, happy to have his son with him. He did look at Jared though, sensing growing curiosity in the young boy. "Well, where ya wanna start first?" he asked. "And don't worry about feeling like you're asking too many questions, I raised other Sparklings over a very long life, I'm used to answering inquisitive little ones." he assured Jared, willing to show him anything, to answer any question, literally.

Jared knew exactly where he wanted to start first; a lesson on where his father came from, and how much it differed there from on Earth. "Where's your home planet? Is it close? What's it like?" He asked, curiousity obviously the main emotion he was feeling right now. He might need to know this stuff in case he was quizzed, after all. He also wanted to know how his father's body worked, in case there was some sort of emergency and a doctor who knew how to fix his kind wasn't around. Plus if he learned about his Dad's body, he might be one step closer to learning what was different about his body too, including the hum he could feel. He'd definitely have to ask about that.

Wheeljack smiled warmly at Jared and looked to the air in front of them. His head lamps switched on a bit brighter as the lights in the room dimmed, and there in the air, a three dimensional hologram of a completely metallic world with shining cities and multicolored lights, some stationary, accenting streets and buildings, others zipping this way and that along the roads, still others moving more slowly, as if walking. "Cybertron. It's actually in another galaxy, humans call it M31: Andromeda. We just call it home." he offered softly, then the planet moved closer, focusing in on one of the cities in the northern hemisphere. "That's Iacon, where I'm from. I suppose you could call it the Capital of Cybertron itself. Up north is Six Lasers over Cybertron, I suppose you could call it an amusement park, rides and fun things to do there, Spark igniting diversions. You'd like it there." he chuckled lightly. Everywhere Jared could see, there were shades of silver, gold, copper, bronze, even iron, and highlighting the streets and buildings were lines of light, from spots of white light to streaks and shapes made of glowing colors, red, blue, green, violet, orange, amber... even on the robots themselves, from head lamps to chassis accents, strange alien shapes, unusual vehicles, yet, somehow they seemed strangely familiar, like from a dream half forgotten. "We were all Autobots, living together, at peace. It was so beautiful once, a long time ago..." there was a tone of sadness in his voice then as he looked on what had been, then lowered his gaze.

Jared's eyes widened in amazement at the image that was presented to him. Cybertron, as his Dad had called it. "It's beautiful." He muttered, though it was loud enough for Wheeljack to be able to hear. He watched carefully as the image zoomed in onto Iacon. Up close it looked even more stunning than the planet had at first. His eyes brightened at the robots going about their daily lives, realizing it was remarkably similar to their own planet, and yet it couldn't be more different. The lights that shone on the surface were like the streetlamps of their own world, but what was different was that the inhabitants of Cybertron had lights on themselves as well. That was probably their version of a fingerprint. He looked up at his father's sad tone. "Was? What happened?" He asked quietly.

Wheeljack vented a sigh then, shaking his head slightly. "Greed, betrayal, war, destruction, death. Our world was torn apart when our two leaders who once stood together, one betrayed the other and tried to murder him. We were divided then, and have been ever since..." He closed his optics as the hologram faded. "So many of us have died in the war, so many bright Sparks lost, young ones torn apart before they had a chance to live..." his voice was choked off then and he shuddered, remembering the ones he had lost, the six little Sparklings he tried to care for, tried to protect only for them to be murdered by Decepticons, one by one. Without intending to show his son, Jared found himself looking on the faces of the ones Wheeljack had lost, hearing their names, their voices, sent through the bond, along with how much it hurt to lose them even though none of them had been his own, but adopted and cherished just the same.
