His Spark went out to the young mech, it was obvious he was stressed and haunted as much if not more so than some of Wheeljack's friends were. "I wish I could do something to help, to somehow take the pain away." He lowered his head as he spoke, wanting to give the poor mech a hug and comfort him, but with him retreating even further away, Wheeljack knew he would be greatly overstepping himself to try. He was not Wavelength's Alpha, at best he was a kind stranger to him, but a stranger none the less. And strangers never gave gestures of too close familiarity, especially when such gestures were obviously not wanted. Instead, he would try to get Wavelength to talk to him about whatever he was comfortable with talking to him about. "What did you see when you were watching me?" he asked, figuring it a safe enough topic and one he was honestly curious about.

"How you cared for them, you playing with them." he said, glancing over to Wheeljack a bit, though he could tell that the obviously affectionate mech was keeping his distance. "I scared you, didn't I? You don't know why it went dark around me like that. It's reflex, that's why I'm so dangerous. Thankfully I realized that you weren't any of those from my nightmare before it was too late. Dad has his ways of taking the pain away, but, I don't trust anyone else to plug in to my neck port. But it's only taken away temporarily. I've been tempted to ask him to just remove those memories, but they're also memories that help me remember what not to do." he admitted, finally letting his hand drop from his chest. That hand, however, reached out for Wheeljack, his cable snaking out from his wrist a bit "Maybe you can understand why I reacted that way if you knew what I saw. . ."

Wheeljack looked over at him, his expression gentle. "I'm not afraid, I just don't want to push into where I have no right to be." he replied. "I'm a stranger to you, not family. Some don't take kindly to me being myself too much." He then looked to the offered hand and the tendril there, then back to Wavelength again. He nodded and gently took his hand, letting out his own tendril to close the connection and accept the visions the young mech offered him. If he was going to understand and help him, then he had to know what was wrong. He just wasn't fully prepared for what he was about to see.

Once the connection was closed, Wavelength exhaled heavily "Brace yourself." he told Wheeljack before closing his own optics, bracing himself for it as well. The visions of the nightmare that came through would be horrid, him trapped, tied down as the Dreads had a go at him. Though that wasn't what happened he had watched it happen to another for hours, unable to move from fear of being discovered, but in this nightmare, it was him in that other bot's place. They moved over him, one forcing abdominal plates open as the other ripped into his limbs, slow, horrid torture as the first forced a connection, claws imbedded to stop him from moving. As he screamed, they laughed, as he panicked they increased the severity of the torture and connection. Armor plates ripped off, ports damaged, but then, it took another turn, a much more carnal coupling as he was held down over what seemed to be a table, the Dreads taking turns with him, denting his body from the force as he screamed, struggling to no avail, and that was only a part of it. He showed Wheeljack more from the nightmare, including the worst parts from it. "This is one of two nightmares that has haunted me. . ." he said to Wheeljack after it was all over, red optics opening once more as he looked over to the Autobot. "This was the one I was having before you touched me, you startled me out of it. There's a reason why I normally only allow myself to go into full recharge when Dad is connected to me, he stops those nightmares so I can actually rest."

Wheeljack reflexively recoiled from the visions, yet he forced himself to see the nightmare anyway. He knew them, the Dreads, the ones who had gotten a hold of and gleefully ripped apart one of his precious Sparklings, young Kilovolta. Her gruesome murder had haunted him, but this was utterly horrific. He didn't know just how far their twisted Sparks would truly take their insidious and sadistic pleasures, but now he did. Inadvertently, the memory of her death leaked through, the shock of such a horrific nightmare hit him quite a bit harder than he expected, having never known of any bot ever being so violated like that before. It took him several long minutes to pull himself together, though he was venting hard as if he'd been fighting an intense battle. "Primus..." he murmured and tried to force the visions away, his Spark aching horribly, both over the nightmare and over the loss of the ones he couldn't protect.

"I think you understand a little now." Wavelength said, disconnecting, he hadn't noticed the memory that slipped through to him, at least not yet, as he had been to focused trying to keep himself calm sharing that nightmare. He moved then, closer to Wheeljack, moving to wrap his arms around the Autobot to give the bot some comfort, even when Wavelength himself needed comfort, he would give it to someone else "I'm afraid of so many things, including myself. Is it any wonder I don't fight? I'm weak, but I'm dangerous at the same time. That nightmare and what it came from made me afraid to ever do, well, uh. . .you know. . .with someone else. Or anything to do with that area. What I did made me afraid of my own powers and it seems it's just getting worse, I'm going to have new nightmares now. Once I'm recovered you may not see me for a while, I'll be up with Dad where I can rest safely."

When Wavelength wrapped his arms around Wheeljack, the Engineer pulled the slender mech completely into a firm hug, fighting to keep himself from shaking. They both desperately needed the comfort, and Wheeljack was not about to let go for a while yet, that much was clear as he started gently rocking with Wavelength in his arms. "You have more than just him to care for you, to comfort you..." he replied softly, letting Wavelength know that he was there, all he had to do was reach out. Wheeljack was a deeply caring mech, a Spark too big for his chassis; much like Ironhide was, though in somewhat different ways. He was willing to do whatever Wavelength needed or was willing to permit, as long as it helped the young mech. Anything was better than the fear and nightmares Wavelength carried within him. There had to be a way to help him, somehow.

Wavelength would release the embrace, moving to sit back on the berth, he wasn't completely comfy with being cradled like that, Soundwave could get away with it, but that was a bit different "Mind going out to get some fresh air? We sort of failed in that endeavor before." he asked, looking over to Wheeljack "I know it's night but there is enough light for me to be comfortable out there, it's just dark rooms that get to me."

Wheeljack let him go and nodded in response to the request. "Sure, if you like. I'd offer to turn up the lights in here but I know fliers are most comfortable under open sky." He stood then, pushing back the revulsion and horror of the nightmare Wavelength had showed him, telling himself it wasn't real and it wasn't his fault. "C'mon, we'll go over to the lake, there's a nice grassy area with trees where we can sit n talk."

"Alright, may be a good idea to get more energon on the way." the young flier said, moving to get off the berth. He was still feeling a little weak but he wasn't quite as unstable, that little bit of rest, sans the nightmare, had done him some good. "I really think it's my nervousness that's making me not want to be inside much, normally I'm fine with it so long as it isn't a grossly extended period of time but, for some reason, it's getting to me more right now. What I really want to do is fly, I normally burn off some stress that way but I can't maintain my flight right now, as was shown earlier." he said, moving to follow Wheeljack.

Wheeljack nodded and opened the door. "We'll stop by the Energon stores n grab ya one of the packs there. I should probably get one myself, been going for a while and need to replenish my reserves." he offered and led him out. Once they retrieved the Energon, he led Wavelength out to the lake at the north end of the base. As promised, there was a stand of trees surrounded by soft grass. He walked over and sat down next to one of the trees and invited Wavelength to sit next too him as he leaned back against the tree, stretching his legs out and crossing them at the ankle. "It's always so peaceful here." he murmured softly, looking out over the lake.

Wavelength gladly took the energon, which really didn't last long with him but he really didn't want to be greedy so he made due with that for the time being when, normally, he'd take in about three times that. When they arrived at the little lake, he moved towards the water's edge, watching the stars and moon reflect off the ever moving surface of the watch, his optics drawn to that as he spoke "I always loved the water." he said giving a bit of a smile as he crouched down, splashing a bit of it into the lake and watching the ripples and the light reflecting off of them "It's a shame that it's not so peaceful everyplace else, this war really needs to stop." he commented, glancing over at Wheeljack for a moment before his gaze was caught by the water again.

"It's a beautiful planet, Earth is. You would be amazed at all the creatures that live here, not just humans. There's more species in a single hectare on Earth than on all of Cybertron. Organic creatures evolved into such a huge diversity, it is just, processor blowing." he replied with a smile, glad that he had chosen right in bringing Wavelength out here to the lake. "There's even some creatures that have chassis lights on them like we do. The humans call it Bio-Luminescence. I think it's beautiful. Reminds me of home, actually."

"I know, organics tend to be like that. This isn't the first life sustaining world I've visited." Wavelength said, giving just a small smile "But I wouldn't mind seeing all the diversity this world offers, including the naturally lit ones." he added before smirking just a bit, though it was a very soft smirk. Wavelength then took a few steps back, moving to the side a bit where he could tell the water was deep enough due to the light and, then, he ran forward, leaping up and going into a smooth dive, slicing right into the water. He still had sand stuck in some places and he figured that should get it out, as well as the fact that he did enjoy swimming. He used his folded back wings a bit, opening them and closing them once more to propel himself just a bit under water before he came back to the surface, looking over at Wheeljack as he treaded water "Oh that's feeling better already, getting all that sand out. . ."

Wheeljack chuckled as he watched Wavelength leap into the water for a swim. Some bots enjoyed that, others hated it. At the mention of the sand, his smile faded a bit, remembering why that sand was there in the first place and he looked over at the Autobots' main hangar. A softer, more wistful smile came to his face then as he thought about the fact that Jazz was alive and safe again, and how his antics used to brighten even the darkest of moods. "I don't think any of us can thank you enough for what you did for Jazz." he offered then, looking over at the floating young mech.
