"I did what I felt I needed to do. He'll recover physically, it's the mind that'll need to do the most healing." Wavelength stated as he swam up a bit closer to Wheeljack "But for now, just be happy that he's back." the young flier said, giving a small smile before it turned into a playful grin "So, are you just going to sit there?" Wavelength asked before he briskly moved an arm, sending water flying right at Wheeljack.

Wheeljack let out a yelp as he was splashed, then looked at Wavelength sternly. "Alright, that's it!" he called and got up, making a run for the lake and straight for Wavelength before jumping and tucking his legs in, turning himself into a giant cannon ball. When he hit the water, he made such a splash that would swamp any bot within range, his door wings deliberately angled to send the biggest wave straight for Wavelength. When he came back up again, he was laughing.

The moment Wheeljack started that jump, Wavelength went under to avoid the splash and decided to vanish, while under water, due to how he bent light to do this it wouldn't even show any displacement within the water. He carefully moved so he was behind Wheeljack before suddenly uncloaking himself as he kicked off from the bottom, coming up behind Wheeljack and attempting to tackle him.

Wheeljack let out a startled yelp when Wavelength tackled him and they both went under water again. That was when he decided to try something he'd never done before and activated his boosters. That sent him straight up out of the water as he tried to grab hold of the younger mech, knowing he could carry him at least a little ways. Wavelength wanted to fly but right now he wasn't strong enough to do so on his own. So, why not a short flight with Wheeljack? It made sense to him at least.

When those boosters went off, Wavelength clung on quick, wide opticed. He was not expecting that. What was Wheeljack doing? He didn't have wings! He calmed after a moment however, though he still remained very firmly attached to the older bot. In truth he was a little nervous with this, he trusted his own wings, most the time, and trusted his father to lift him up like this and, though he knew Wheeljack could carry another bot, he'd seen him do it before, it was still startling and not quite the same "OK, I was not expecting that, at all. Not quite the same though." he said, giving a slightly nervous and small chuckle.

Wheeljack smiled back at Wavelength and continued to fly for a bit with him. "I just thought you might enjoy it a bit." he offered. "Though if you want down, it's okay. You won't hurt my feelings. Like I said, I'm a stranger to you, though I kinda hoped we could be friends." He liked making new friends, whether bot or human didn't matter to him, and Wavelength was just too sweet a Spark not to be a potential friend, at least in Wheeljack's mind.

"We can be, it's just a lot different from flying on my own is all, I normally do a bit of aerial dancing when I fly, you can't much do that." he said smiling a bit, it was meant to be joke "I would show you what this lake looks like to me right now but, I'm worried I'd make you crash if I did." he said with a soft smirk. Wavelength did have a sense of humor to him and right now he was having a light hearted go at Wheeljack but it was all meant in obvious humor. The young bot sighed then, shaking his head a bit "But I can't remain here, once I recover I'll need to go, for now, at least. My work's not finished yet. There's still so much I need to see to, I have to be there for my family and friends, I have to get them out of there and I won't leave them until I do that. But, once all of that is done, I'll return for good."

Wheeljack chuckled at the good-natured ribbing, showing he had a sense of humor. "Yeah, probably not a good idea that." he responded. When he mentioned that he would have to leave soon, Wheeljack nodded a bit. "Yeah, I understand. I wouldn't leave those I love behind either if I could help it." There was a note of pain and regret in his voice, though he tried to hide it. "I'm glad you want to stay with us though, when those you love are safe." he added as he gradually descended after circling back to the lake edge. "I just hope it's soon, for your sake especially."

"Yea, I've been knowing I don't belong with the Decepticons. Don't think I belong with the Autobots either though, but you guys are the better choice. I just don't belong in the war at all." he said, giving a small sigh before he looked down "That's deep enough." he said with a small smile before moving to push off from Wheeljack and dive right into the water below, again, showing his grace before popping back up and looking up at the Autobot "Go ahead! It's fun and it's plenty deep." he said with a smile, moving back to give Wheeljack room "I want to show you something afterwards."

Wheeljack watched him drop and smiled at that. At least Wavelength tried to keep life more light Sparked, which was a good trait to have, especially with the war. He looked at the water as Wavelength moved back out of the way, then he cut his boosters and pulled his arms in to his chest, his feet together as he dropped straight down like a missile, only spreading himself out to keep from dropping too deep once he was under the water. He looked up to where Wavelength was and swam up towards him, breaking the surface close by. "It's been a long time since I could just play with my little ones. I miss them so much. But it does feel good to let go and play for a while. Thanks for that." he said.

"But I'm not a little one. I'm just tiny." Wavelength said before moving to swim to the shore, once his feet touched bottom he walked up, dripping from the swimming session. He turned to Wheeljack then, his face turning a little more serious "Before you fully accept me, I want you to know what terror I am capable of. Is there anything that would be a safe target that needs to be gotten rid of anyways?" he asked. Using that power on some inanimate object didn't affect him as much, especially if the object needed removal anyways, it was his way of justifying using his power so he didn't feel guilty about it, though it was not something he did often.

Wheeljack shrugged at that. "My Flybots are more than twice my size yet I still call them my little ones. They'll always be my little Sparklings no matter how big they are, n I'll always love them as my own even though I can't feel them in my Spark." He followed Wavelength out onto the grassy slope and thought for a moment about his question. "Hmmm, I could fire a small missile if you can hit moving targets. Outside of that, actually, now that I think about it..." he rambled and started off towards the east side of the tarmac where the base met the ocean.

"I would rather not hit moving items, people move." Wavelength said, going to follow Wheeljack, as he walked he played with the light just a bit, mostly confusing a few moths that were fluttering about with it. "I rather actually aim for something the needs to be gotten rid of, my own way of trying to remind myself that it doesn't have to be destructive, that if can be productive, much like how a demolition job can be." he explained, it made some sense to him "I'm hoping that, by doing that, some day, maybe, I can stop fearing it so much."

Wheeljack nodded at that. He could well understand the need to feel productive and useful, that was for sure. He slowed as they neared the sea edge, then he stopped once he spotted what he was looking for. "You see that out there?" he asked, indicating an odd swirl in the water as it moved. "It's what's left of an old jetty that used to be there, the humans used it as a dock for small boats. The humans let it disintegrate on its own since they built the larger docks farther down, but this is far enough out to cause issues with boats but no one knows quite what to do with it. It still gets exposed at low tide which makes it kinda dangerous there too." he explained. The original structure had been an artificial one and had disintegrated rather rapidly. But what remained was heavy concrete that seemed more stubborn than the rest.

Wavelength gave a small nod, looking at the thing "Well, there won't be anything left of it in a moment. Stay behind me." he said, glancing to Wheeljack before he stepped forward. He began to lift his wings up and, soon, they were out at a slight upwards angle on either side of him as everything around Wheeljack and Wavelength darkened to pitch, the only light in their area, soon, was that around Wavelength's frame, concentrated around his wings. it looked like a floating prism mixed with an oil slick, except it was far from solid, colors swirling and twining among each other, some blending and separating once more. A charge like this took a moment when heightened emotions weren't at play. Wisps of all colors one's eyes or optics could see began to form wisps coming off the wings, much like liquid fire. Even something that could be so deadly coming from the young mech was breathtakingly beautiful. And then, it shot forth, right for the structure in one brilliant bolt of pure light energy, as it made contact with the water a huge plume of steam shot up, the water for quite some distance around it brought to a boil, and the cement underneath, within a mere second, heated to it's own melting point as the air within the the cement quickly expanded causing quite a booming sound, enough to make Wavelength himself cringe because they likely woke a few people up, as molten bits, for all intents and purposes lava, exploded from where the cement had been, thankfully all of it landed in the water around.
Once it was done, Wavelength lowered his wings back to their normal, folded pose and looked at Wheeljack a little sheepishly "I didn't think it was going to be that loud. . ." he said, an eep look on his face as he glanced back out, the water still boiling a bit and most certainly steaming as the cooler water rushed in and mixed with it.
